SWEET INTERRUPTIONS # 260
Just a quick pop in to thank you all personally for all your prayers and good thoughts. Bill was released from the hospital at about 4:00. Two of our sons fixed a barbeque dinner for us...ok, I had to help too, but they did most of it. Any way, to clear up one little bit. Bill received what is called a clot buster. (TPC) The heparin is a quick acting drug thinner that is given by IV. He was on both the heparin and the coumadin until the coumadin got up to the 2.5 that it needed to be. That was reached this morning and DUNTDATADA!!!! We're home.
It was a long, scary battle but we won. Have a long road and many life style changes to face, but we'll do it!
Thank you all again!
Thanks for the update Cookie, so glad to hear he is home! Hope you had a good dinner.
There should ne a Happy Parent's Day!! So no one get left out.
Really... there are more women than men rasiing kids on their own.
Cody, who brought you to Six Flags. I know Alex can't reach the pedals!! Hope you get to get out of the house more often. That's a good caricature of you. Did you have it framed yet?
Sorry Cindy to read the sales didn't get rid of everything. Oh well, at least you have a little more room for more of your stuffs! That teacup is unique! Trashcan you say, and she painted that? Is the handle made of the floating noodle, or the rim?
What a Father's Day gift!!
Am so relieved to read that both "dins" worked for Bill!! Have immense faith that the Lord will take care of him. And that He did very well, look who's home! ^_^
Bill is very lucky to have you. With your help. in no time at all, he'll have a healthier lifestyle and watch out!! He'll have 100 more years of living!
Sue, are you packed for that Ca. trip?
Hope Todd had a great father's day celebration, LK.
Nice and quiet here. Andy called to wish Todd a Happy Fathers day, and when he was done talking, Todd told Andy, " I love you". Andy was so moved, as Todd hardly ever says that to anyone, not even his Sisters when they call. So this was such a good day for Andy to hear that. Andy's Dad has not spoken to him for years, no phone call, no card for Birthday's or Christmas. Andy thinks of Todd as his own Dad, not a step Dad.

The handle is the noodle.
Happy Monday sistahs and niece Cody!
Hey Alex, Happy Birthday handsome man! You get to go to Six Flags for your birthday! Lucky!! For my birthday, I watch the kitties play :(
LK, I got teary eyed reading Todd was moved to tell Andy he's loved. That was the most priceless gift any dad can give to a child, especially a step child.
Andy will always treasure that.
Murdock isn't sleeping well at the Respite Care. Could be adjusting himself to his surroundings.
Kel spent a day with him and I do hope they'll keep Murdock longer. At least, MIL couldn't be yelling and screaming at him there!
Got more potting up to do. The brugs that Elizabeth gave have finally rooted, and a begonia plus that moonflower that jumped into my buggy Saturday, will need new homes. Yesterday I think I planted 5 mums. According to the almanac, I have a few more planting days.. boy.. I'll let you all know how this planting by the moon turns out.
My late BIL in Louisiana swore by it, I pooh-poohed him telling him it's hogwash. His garden was always beautiful and veges bountiful. He won't even dig if he didn't consult the Farmers Almanac.
Years older now.. notice I didn't say wiser... think I'll do that this year.
Morning Jaye. Good luck with the new plants!
Does anyone have any datura's, devil trumpets? Any color?
Good morning! What a b eautiful day!!!
morning sissy. glad to here the news about bill
Thank you sissy, how are you feeling???
slept almost all day Saturday and sunday. this headache won't go away, and i'm soooo tired. have a doc. appointment wed. morning. how are you holding up
Sorry to hear you still have those darn headaches. Hope you get some answers soon!

Hey Cookie, Bill must feel like a new man now, after getting over that life threatening experienc.
Sis Kathy, I'm sorry you're still getting those headaches. Darken your bedroom sis, no lights. Not even from the tv. Might help you some.
Marion, are you home yet? Tell Kim, we wish her a safe journey and may she inspire the natives in Dominican Republic.
Cody, what are you cooking today? Do you like Cajun food like boudin and gumbo being you're a Yank!! Lol!!
Anyone north of the Cajun country is called Yanks, sistahs!! My ex has a nephew that married a gal living in Monroe,so she's a Yank to us.
But she sure can cook good Cajun food, Cody. Sometimes it's hard to understand her, and I'm certain she felt the same way about her in-laws!
LK, the video froze on me.. now which of my sistahs left the video on!!
Sure want to see a cat barking.
I think I had too much sun. Stomach's queasy... shouldn't have worked right after a meal. Then I had all these bites!! Again, forgot to use some protection.. when will I learn!! Got to get one of those clip ons. Anyone tried that?
Clip ons do not work Jaye, don't waste your money!
Thanks LK. I just have to put a reminder on the doors :(
Avon Skin so Soft works or I've read to put a softener sheet in your pocket or up your sleeve.
Karen, I normally use Bounce or pat some citronella oil on my arms.
I'm always forgetting to tuck the sheets onto my hat band.
Yes SSS works well! Offshore platform workers and bayou fishermen use them.
May have to order that online.
Now to stop the itch, I found that mouthwash helps!
SSS works but many object to the scent and the oilyness. I'll have to see if I can get hubby to tuck in a softener sheet, he won't put anything on his skin.
I'll put up with both not to get bites! Tell your DH that will make his skin so smooth!!
my sister loves those clip ons from OFF !!! she keeps one on her patio table and turns it on when she sits there, says she has not gotten any bites !!
Thunder, I'm reading the reviews and most had the same experience as LK's.
I think I'll buy that cheap refillable clip on kind from WM that's under 10.. not the expensive kind.
We are surrounded by swamps here, so never short of mosquitoes following me around.
Your sister is lucky that it works for her.
When I'm sitting on the porch, I'll use the old fashion mosquito coils. That works as long as it's near me!!
I don't do much spicy food now Cody. My stomach lost its iron lining!
Rains coming down hard. Why did I water the plants today?
Lights flicker back and forth.
Calling it a night while I can. See you in the morning sistahs.
Night Jaye!
Oh, that is such a beauty, maybe in a few years when it is not so new, the price will come down!
Good morning sistahs.
If anyone knows Debra aka "Joeswife", her sister Sherry has now gone home to our Lord. Please say a prayer for Sherry's surviving relatives.
Cookie, this is gonna be another great day for you! Bill is home, hurrah! Hurrah!!
Sis Kathy, I hope your headaches are gone.
Pegi.. haven't seen you. Are you still trying to beautify that shed? Hope Darwin's still feeling upbeat.
LK, there is one that I had been keeping a close watch for the past 3 years, and the price remains the same. But I'm sure there are other similar daylilies under different names selling for less!
For instance, I bought "Queen's Robes" DL for $8 at Marietta Gardens. Then this year, I found out that it's also called "Face To The Stars" and it's at $18! They are exactly the same, colorations and size. Marietta stopped selling "Queen's Robes"! Lol!
So.. I just got to buy cheap good looking ones! And there aren't any blues in the cheap bin!!
Will let you know what I decide.
Want so bad to play in the dirt, the rains stopped me. Think I need an allergy meds break anyway!
Followed Thunder's suggestion as to take the allergy pills first before I set off outside. It works like a charm. My evenings aren't flustered with sneezings anymore!
Glad to hear you are following Thunders advice!
Hehehe.. not too old to heed good advice!!
Copied from Debra's facebook page... I too thought she was gone, the way she said good bye last night!
Debra Carson: Thank you everyone, she is not gone yet, barely hanging on, I am saying goodbye, because I needed to. I will let everyone know when she has passed. Pray for swift relief.
Me too, LK.
Lord listens to good hearts...
Thoughts and Prayers for Debra and her family............
Well Ladies, I am going to the Hair Salon for a new look ^_^, just hope it comes out the way I want it too (sigh)
LK will be mailing out pkg today and sending it regular mail so you should get it the 24th or 25th
Thanks Cindy. Will be waiting for a picture of your new do!
Morning sistahs.
Temps are amazingly at 70s today. Thank you Karen! I shall enjoy this tremendously while repotting.
I quit growing daturas LK, as I'm afraid the kids might chew on them accidentally. Though they do stay away from brugs.
Sure love those multi purple ones!
Singaporeans now are experiencing record setting smog level. Gee, guess I'm lucky living in the country. Fresh air is a gift for them.
They are discouraged to be outdoors.
Today is my brother's last day visiting our sister in France.
He went there and all I get is this picture. Makes me wonder, what is he trying to tell me!
LOL! Looks like someone was grabbing the bottom end! ^_^
Sorry to hear about the bad smog back in your homeland Jaye! Even San Antonio has daily smog report!
Well not too happy with my new do :( My hair curls really easy and it is a bit too curly lol, but in a month or so it will probably be what I really want
