SWEET INTERRUPTIONS # 260

Hi Jaye,i hope it doesn't rain.Alex doesn't like to play outside when it is real hot.It is suppost to be 98 for the high.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Goodness gracious. I don't want that heat Cody.
I'm staying inside for now.. can't do much outside till it cools off some. :(

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Happy Happy Birthday LK, sounds like you are getting a nice start to it too, walk along the beach (sigh)

Yeah Jaye,it is started to get hot here already. We are in the house with the fans and AC on.We will be in until this evening when it gets cooler.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I'd gladly split the difference with you weather wise. Our high today will be 70 but not until 8:P.M.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

100 here, gonna be 105 with severe storms and straight line winds

Siliolegma,i wish it would stay 75 all year around.I don't think you would want almost 100 outside.I can walk outside now and be out their for 5 mins and start pouring sweat.

Karen, I gladly give you 20 degrees off mine!!
Stubborn me decided to check out on lilies with no i.ds and I think I lost 15 pounds of pure sweat!!
Cody, we don't have to exercise...

Cody, meet Karen aka siliolegma. She has the cutest great grandbabies.. grand babies and BIG babies!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sis Kathy, how are your new babies coming up? Hope the bad weather will pass you by. Don't want your new plants to be drowning.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

I would love 75-78 year around. I think we'd have to go to Hawaii for that. I'm always a bit cold so would like it warm enough to sit outside without a sweater or jacket.
I'm about ready to attach the Dresden plates to the tree skirt. I'm making this up as I go so we'll see.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Karen, I was trying to figure out but I think it's easier if I had a pattern. Especially when the spirals have to be uniform!
If you're moving to Hawai'i.. can you bring me along?

Finally, FIL is moved to a Respite Care facility today. It will be only for 5 days. Still a 5 day break on Kel's back.

Joyce & Bill update

Just spoke with Joyce, she wants to thank all for the prayers being said..knows the Lord heard each and every one of them!

Joyce has been unable to post, no Internet or equipment to post so asked that I provide you all with a brief update...

Bill just got out of ICU, now on cumadin to help with clots..he also at this time has a large kidney stone which has to be surgically removed.

Said that when the massive dose of herprien (?) was given it could have been fatal, thank the Lord it was not!

Joyce just stepped out for a bite to eat but was on her way back to the hospital where she has been staying since this happened..

Again she thanks each and everyone of you for you concern and prayers..

She will update in more depth when she is able to.

Thank you Betty for the update.

We'll continue to pray for his recovery.

Jaye, you are right about that. The heat index here is 103.

Hi Karen nice to meet you.It would be nice if it was like that all year around.I don't like the cold and i don't like the hot.

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Nice to meet you Cody, I don't care for extremes in temp. either, I can't regulate my body heat very well. We're hoping to move to TN before too long. I know it's really hot there but It's soooo cold here for so long.

Jaye, my aunt had to get permanent care for my uncle as she couldn't physically care for him any more. He would try to get around without his walker and fall, she wasn't able to get him off the floor. She had to get a lawyer to do it though. Medicare or Medicaid which ever one it was, wanted her to sell her house and move into a facility with him. Lawyer got all the wrinkles ironed out and uncle is very content and in a wonderful place.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, thanks or the update on Cookie and Bill. So glad to hear he is getting better.
Just popping in for a few. Inputs, before we run off again, this time for dinner! Going to Doc's on the bay. They have lots of seafood for hubby, and I am going to have a ribeye steak!
Thaks for all the Birthday wishes!
Later!

Maryville, TN(Zone 7a)

Mmmmm Ribeye my favorite. Although I do really enjoy good scallops too. If they had both, I 'd have a hard time deciding. Enjoy!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Karen I wish Murdock can get permanent care, but he's not on Medicare. I shan't go further about their other properties..

I'll take any seafood LK!!

Cody.. Karen.. I'm holding the 6th annual Red, White and Blue Swap. Gifts are starting to come in. Come take a look see.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Glad Bill is doing better.

I;ll have shrimp or lobster or scallops please!! Enjoy your wonderful meal, Linda,

Karen,i know what you mean. When it gets cold here i hate to go outside.I can handle the heat to a point then in the house i go.Lol!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Sorry for being MIA yesterday. Blame it on DG!!
I posted a short message, and it's not here.
Pegi, we'll wait on pics.

Cody, make sure you put on a hat when you're in the sun. I know you're young, but sunstroke strikes any age!

Been not feeling well and sleeping it off.
Off I go again.. Have a great Saturday sistahs.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hope your feeling better soon Jaye!

LOL ppl in background taking pix of you feeding seagulls

Looks like an awesome time you had, again Happy Birthday LK!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks Cindy!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crackers have no fat, so you fed them healthy, LK!
At Myrtle Beach , there would be flocks of seagulls that will converge on MacD's parking lot. They're fed french fries. Kel's always waiting for one to have a heart attack on the spot!
So happy that you had a swell time with just Todd. You both need more alone time!

Holly Springs, NC(Zone 7b)

I have grand plans for today, but they are destined for failure. I need to go to the garden center to buy two bags of potting soil and three tomato plants to replace 3 that keeled over. That is ALL I'm SUPPOSED to get. My DG buddies have a more realistic idea of what is going to happen to my grand plan, right?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yep. you shan't escape those plants that chose to jump into your buggy!

I'm going to Lowe's in a few, have to get some stakes, trellis.. just the garden scapes. Will report later if I found some of those stubborn plants following me home!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Look what followed me home!!

Glad to gear you had a fun day! Love the caricature drawing!

Good Morning Ladies,

Well yard sale was not a huge success but got rid of some stuff, still have most of crafting stuff left.

A few years ago my daughter's MIL made this "Tea Cup" planter........she used a small garbage can, floating noodle, helium ballon (don't know what she used for base) and some stuff called darjent (I think that's how it's spelled). I wanted to have her help me make one but never got around to it, and now she's gone :(

Sorry your sale was not a good one. Love that huge cup! That is beautiful!

Happy Fathers day to all the Dads out there, and to all the Moms that have to play the Dad roll too!
