Haven't seen Alberta Ann posting much, can imagine she's busy with her gardens
I continue to improve with the exercises and being up walking, kinda sore, but that's to be expected.
Hope I can remain faithful to the regimen for 6 weeks. I'm a great one for giving it my all at the gitgo, but, pooping out after a couple of weeks. Gordon and Lorna will ensure I keep with it.

Morning, or rather afternoon everyone..
played lazy this a.m. but it's time to get up and at it, outside to work in the gardens and get grass cut before I leave Friday.
brrrr, yet "M" have the door open, put on summer clothing this morning but I have to go change and put something warmer on...real fall day here as well.
So glad to hear you are in less pain!!!
Before you know it you will be dancing a jig and all the pain you experienced before the operation only a memory.
I can well imagine Lorna will not let you get away with not doing your exercises..
think a lot are not posting due to changes in DG..am sure most of the quirks have been repaired and things are back to normal.

Daughter is in San Fran with her cousins and have a super time. She will be back in time to babysit for a neighbor and then get back to school for grade 11.

How wonderful that your daughter gets to see San Francisco, she'll talk the ear off you when she gets back. How have you fared with the gardens this year and inclement weather? My gardens are showing signs of fall, sad..
"M" birthday wishes for Brooklyn..I think you were wise not going out, only been a week since surgery, take time to heal.
Laying on the couch, playing lazy, almost tempted to get a blanket to cover me up, on the cool side.
Grrrrrrrrrr can't sleep, restless legs. Very aggravating.
Gordon said the party was good, brought cake home.... Mmmm breakfast!!

Hi everyone - wanted to share some good news we had today.........
First - yesterday was really bad - so depressed I cried most of the day.
Still no job for me, and no end to lay off for Bob.
Yesterday Bob spoke to Child Maintenance, telling them that a lawyer is looking into getting his child support payments to end, because his daughter is married, and his son is working (not sure if he still lives at home anyway). They rec'd a call from the lawyer, but can't do anything without a Court Order, saying it's ended, or if the ex volunteers to end it. They're both in their 20's
Maintenance has been taking 2/3 of Bob's unemployment insurance payments and it's been really tough....
Anyway, today I looked at our bank account, and he Got The Full Amount! I'm giddy with relief, able to pay our bills......
It may take another couple of months to get the Court Order, but it's better than the years it's been so far. Glad my daughter, a para legal, works in a law firm and is expediting this, with the help of the lawyer she works for (he likes her as a great employee).
The relief in our household is tangible...
Now, I just have to get a job...... and Bob has to be called back to work - it's been over a month for him.
That is such great new Susan..let's hope you find a job shortly, you certainly are due 'good news' for a change!

I haveta tell you Susan, I have been smiling today, and, it's because of your news.
I have a nephew who found himself working in the arctic as a Diamond Driller to accommodate the horrifying payments he was making to his ex wife of 12 years, who, was RE married to a dentist. Patrick still had to pay for his 2, over 20 yrs old children .. Both finished university with good jobs.
Patrick did as Bob did .. and, the payments stopped,and, we now have him HOME in Ontario.
I am thrilled with your most auspicious news^_^
I am having a lazy day .. guess my body needed a wee sleep.
Going outside for a bit.
Gord and Lorna stock piled a cord of wood today, I am amazed .. we'll need at least 2 more for the winter .. but, it's a beginning, slow and easy wins the wood stacking race LoL

Next August "M" both Gord and Lorna will put their feet up and say it's your turn to cut and pile the wood.
Had rain today, did want to cut the grass so that it looked nice and tidy while I'm away..no can do unless it rained here and not at home..am hoping it did though, would save me watering the gardens.

Windows wide open and a fairly cool breeze coming into the house .. very Autumn like .. no rain for this area although it was predicted.
Gosh the lawns are so lush . Gord has had to cut the dogs enclosure every 2nd evening!!
As for the wood, well, it looks so impressive all stacked up, it's very dry birch, so, it'll burn wonderfully well.
No doubt next year I can help with the stacking.
Right now, my #1 priority is getting some GOOD sleep .. I SO cannot sleep on my back !!! 3 nights in a row I have battled 'restless legs' .. my oh my is that irritating .. have started to drink a small glass of Tonic Water with supper, apparently the quinine in it will help .. so far.. nothing
Betty, I guess tonight is your last night before VACATION .. I wish you Godspeed and just the safest and BEST time ever ..your itinerary is certainly chuck full of fun and interesting venues .. but .. NO TABLE DANCING LoL
Waiting for my Community nurse to ring me, once she calls I'll get in the shower so that I have time to wash my hair and be ready for her and my dressing change. This weekend the staples come out (!) chicken that I am.
Spent 2 hours outside yesterday, it was wonderful .. the flowers are so lovely, the heavy waxyish yellow DayLillies will bloom anyday now .. the aluminum pie plates hung on poles in the spring have kept the bunnies and deer at bay and the show will be spectacular ..

Feeling pretty good here, waiting to hear from my physiotherapist as last night I turned over and slept on my tummy, oh, it felt so good...and for the first time in 2 weeks I slept like a baby.
Just not sure I'm supposed to do it.

Gardens here are starting to look a little fallish as our nights have been cold and I've even shut the G House door to try and trap a bit of heat for the few tomatoes I have in there. Tomatoes are just beginning to be eaten. YUMMM.
ABAnn..we have had lots of cherry tomatoes, but, our bigger tomatoes are slow due to cool nights.
Will be watching for Bettys posts.

Yesterday I got an email from a GM of a company a friend of mine's husband owns. My friend had asked me to send my resume to her and I did... back in March. Anyway, he asked me to come in today at 11 for an interview and it went very well. Paying $18k less per year than I used to get, but.....it's a job. He has other interviews to do, but will let me know on Friday the 9th if I have the job. Guess knowing the boss' wife would help? We worked together for years, and stayed friends......

Susan, what awesome news, will be thinking only positive thoughts re the outcome of the interview.
One thing I learned is to NEVER burn your bridges! Even if I totally despised a co worker, I would not say word one just in case, down the road, I was looking to them for a job, research etc.
Paid off when I was in hospital ^_^

Slept on my stomach last night !! WONDERFUL !!! Had to have it okayed with my physiotherapist first, but, I was SO sleep deprived trying to sleep on my back ..
Best have some breakfast .. eating strawberry twizzlers is NOT the breakfast of champions LoL

Betty - the friend of mine, Judy, is a lovely person, and I met her DH back in June too.
She says the GM, Dick, is a kind man, and boy do I need some kindness in Bob's and my life........as well as a paycheque lol
