How is the remodeling coming Marion? Almost done?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Afraid not LK. The contractor mudding the wall and replacing the ceiling had to stop early today to allow the electricians to pull a 220 wire to a new location for the A/C unit. There was no way to connect this area to the existing central units so having to install another through the wall unit. At the suggestion of the people who handle of other unit, I have moved it out of a corner practically on the floor to a more central location but higher up the wall.
Outlet has been repaired over kitchen bar in preparation to hang a new light. It is coming but much more to be done. Not complaining......as it is definitely getting done. Of course, i will be doing the finish paint job and hanging the wallpaper. Looking forward to that part as I like to do those things.
Well, hopefully soon you will be painting your rooms and picking out wallpaper! What color are you going with?
weather has been crazy every where....
hubs feeling pretty good today, no word yet on last tests....
Sons apt today went well. got a few prescriptions. going for x-rays tomorrow, his back has been bothering him on & off, so seeing as he was at DRs anyway he spoke to her about it...she poked and prodded, he groaned and had a few moans in there too...soooo he is going for an x-ray tomorrow, sure hoping it is not anything serious!!! He is a big guy, and I think he sometimes thinks he is "super man" !!! arrrghhhh he does a lot of lifting at work!!! I have been telling him he HAS to get help with some of it...not a good idea to lift a large keg of beer by oneself!!! well maybe now he will listen ??!! ehhh probably NOT..... why are guys soooo stubborn!????
I am in need of sewing therapy......
I did at least get some retail therapy today. we went to Joanns after the DR. darling son helped me pick out some fabrics for the round robin quilts I have......Y'all know he has very good tastes??!! right?!! we bought some cute fabric to make something for Ryleigh. And of course some cute fabric to make him a new bandanna. and being the wonderful son he is...he paid for 1/2 and said I needed to tell Ryleigh the quilt is from him too......
did I tell Y'all he went to a few different fabric stores and bought me a stack of fabrics for Mothers day??? a yard of this, two yards of that, a bunch of half yards.....some very nice stuffs !!! yup good kid...
LindaK. sure hope you are feeling a bit better...belly aches really REALLY suck.....♥♥♥ gentle hugs.
Betty, hugs to you and Noah ♥♥♥ you are an angel.
I am feeling better today, at least no pain pills. My Dr. Called to tell me they have the referral ready, but can't get an appointment till mid August! But they will keep me in mind if they get a cancellation! I hate the hurry up and wait....
it is ridiculous that it take so long to get appointments.....
Linda, that is the same thing we dealt with for Shannon. Aug. 13 appt. for neuro. HOWEVER, cancellation list paid off....as she has appt. this Wednesday.
Between that, her being sick now...and tonsil surgery Friday....I just don't know what is going to happen in which order. She will be a mess if we go Wednesday and they decide to do the spinal.
Thunder, glad to hear Doc is checking your son out. Those back issues are painful....and especially with stubborn men.
Barb, did it cool down for you?
Where is Betty...hasn't been on since this morning. Did I miss something?
Debbie
Hello All;
Thank you LK would love to share pics... You've probably seen them on FB though... what a shame you can't get in DR earlier....
Betty yes nail on the head... when I saw the second snake he was headed to pond and rocks.....
Not a trooper on re: the holiday... more like I see that pool being unused every weekend and feel like it's just a big expensive lawn ornament unless I get some folks over to swim in it... LOL.... Besides MIL is having a garage sale the day before so I think it will help her out not to plan Fathers Day the next day... It's not stressful as much for me to have them over here I suppose because I've done it more now... I'm not as stressed about getting all the dust bunnies and everything being perfect....
waving at Barb...
Susan (HUGS) re: DS. Maybe you can try to find him?
Deb... that was so very comforting.... Thank you. I do have to remember he has his own free will. And darn if most his traits that I dislike .... are just like his father even though he wasn't in the picture.
Dianne... is Diesel taking good care of you ? when will tourist season pick up ?
Thunder what a sweet Mothers Day pressie.... DS knows what is important to you....
Will be difficult tomorrow as both Princess I have been covering for will be back as well as I have a meeting with Witchypoo. Will have to say extra prayers....maybe I'll treat myself to lunch as a reward LOL....
HUGS
Mary
Lk, I already have the wallpaper and paint. I am using greys, blues and blue lavenders. I have one roll of stripped and the others are textures that match.
Debbie... The Child is not working through all this... is she?
Thanks LK - Pics for my beautiful Friends.....
Orange Amaryllis from Alabama Swap! with Nuns orchids from Dad.... I'm now trying to root those stalks... supposed to be able to...and I separated that pot and put one in the ground. Pic #2 Water lily in front yard/sugar kettle. There is a Lotus blooming there now (from swap) and I'll get a pic up soon of that. Third pic is Bon Temps Cajun Hibiscus...this was the first bloom but that plant has taken off this weekend with blooms # 3, 4, 5.... the one today was the most gorgeous one of all but I didn't get a pic because it wasn't the first child LOL.... (I can say that because I was NOT the first child).
HUGS all
Mary
Mary, no she isn't. She took a leave of absence and just found out today they will give her a portion of her pay til she comes back.
She did try to work, and about two weeks ago, we just said "no more" after she almost fell asleep driving home. Just not worth it.
It is really cutting into our finances....but not much choice right now.
Had to laugh about the "father traits". My Carrie was NEVER raised with her father. He left when she was two weeks old. YET, that
child twirls her hair....just like him...when she gets tired. Even now, if you rub her head...she falls asleep! lol Her favorite foods are the
same that he had...and I promise I never told her! lol
Debbie - so glad to hear that... and sounds like a good company... just can't risk it making her take a turn for worse .....
Isn't that something about genetics..... DS is so much like his father in odd ways... I said the same to his half brother's Mom and she laughed and said the same thing....
All 3 appear to be late bloomers.... DS's half brother is 26 and just now back in school and finally doing well.... we try (he and I) to use him as an example and it just does not seem to sink in.
You know, I see the kids that graduated with my oldest daughter (29). The boys are so unsettled, and tended to "sow their wild oats" a bit longer
than the girls did. Then, like you said, about age 27 or so....they settled down....but were not eager to start families. Still the party harty types...and
they just haven't seemed to loose that desire. I have several nephews that are right in that mold too....just want to play the field, party and do what
they want, really wanting no responsibility.
Can't sleep = too late to take sleeping meds. I would sleep till noon if I took them now.
Concerned we haven't heard from our Betty. Given all the turmoil in her life right now I hope something hasn't boiled over.
Mary sending positive thoughts and confidence to help you get through your meeting with your lovely boss. You know you do your job well so don't let this woman undermine your confidence.
~~~~~ to all. Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today ladies.
Dianne
Ohhh not true to my word, didn't moved us over but just did.
Thought you were all quiet yesterday only to realize this morning I must have pressed unwatch. Oops
Here we go, sunny, great day for a ride to the new room
