Thought your recent bout of diverticulitis was behind you LindaKay, sorry to hear its keeping you down! wouldn't you know it, just when you needed the doc, long time to wait when you are paining so bad.
Nice when there is family in the area to look after the furries when we need to get away...never had to board a furry.
In bed, tired tonight
Night night
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Boo and hiss LK. That's the pits. Hope Luna is taking good care of you.Hope you are feeling better soon. That's the shame about the doc and I know the feeling. Our GP is also the coroner so gets called out during office hours.Once I had gotten Warren all bundled up and to her office - he wasn't moving well so it was hard for him and she got called out.The doc was good enough to come and make a house call after hours as she knew how hard it was on Warren. They had tried to call but we had already left.
What a busy bunch today! Dianne, I so understand about the garden equipment. Finally I got some lighter weight tools and they do the job nicely with this property....need heavier duty ones at the Gainesville house.
Sending prayers and hoping for the very best for Ann's daughter.
No workman here today so Kim and I ran tons of errands that we needed to take care of while we can. Went shopping for a new door to be put on the "dungeon" craft room, looked for new wall a/c units and other little odds and ends that had piled up. Tomorrow morning the contractor will be here to start putting up the new ceiling and plastering the walls.....it is actually getting closer to be usable!!! Wahoo!!!!!!!!!
Stopped by a Home Depot and Lowe's and wouldn't you know it, some plants on the clearance table just put themselves into my cart. I can't believe they are marking things down to a $1.00 per quart container this early in the season....not complaining.
Tired tonight so I think I will head off to bed. Take care all.
Hi everyone - hugs and prayers for all.
time for bed, so will good night - bless you!
Morning all,
Marion, here is hoping a carpet rose and 2 shrubs do same in my basket today..lol funny how that happens. Did you change your mind on central vac and going to window mount unit? You will so excited to finally get the dungeon done..Greg promises to gave the air ducts redone so I can finally get ceiling done this fall so know you've had a great amount of patience...but your time gas arrived and soon you will be organizing your craft space..
Dianne, not many doctors come to the home anymore, my doctor has a few times when I was bedridden but now with such shortages of doctors and them being overworked they just can't..
rumblings continue, we've had rain but more to come..had thought I'd finish planting and weeding this weekend but that is highly unlikely.
Still laying in bed, touch of nausea, won't be a happy camper if I come down with what Suzanne has, here is hoping it is just nerves.
Oh no, Betty, hope you're not getting sick. You have so much on your plate right now. :(
Dianne, do you use Voltaren? That stuff is amazing on my arthritis. We can't get it here in the states, except by prescription, but you can in Canada. We all loaded up while we were up there! I'd come to your house and clean, but I don't think you'd want to pay me mileage!! LOL
Marion, seems like this has been a long time coming on your craft room. Of course, everything with me is always a work in progress!
Got the garden finished last night. Now hoping for rain today. Looks like we could get some that's in Indiana right now. It would be the perfect time to water the new garden. Finished with the cucumbers, peppers and 5 or 6 rows of corn. Hope they come up since it was last years batch.
Praying for all of you who need it.
took a walk in the gardens, not much color but omg its so lush and green, many of the hostas oversized, guess to late to divide now..
1. only one brave fish out of 11 came out to greet me as I fed them, tiny but brave, just to the right of the larger water plant
2. chair is wanting its planter..can I truly believe weatherman who says chance of frost is no longer?
3. flowers on both my shrubs, see how I didn't name them lol
4. did divide my goatsbeard, it becomes so large that I'm hoping when these 2 grow it will look like a gate entering back gardens,
thought I lost them in the transplant but think they will survive
5. planted bridal wreath shrubs on the upper part of the larger pond, in bloom and healthy
just soooo much green, long time coming but in a few weeks I'll get to enjoy beauty such as you are seeing in your gardens..
All beautiful...cute little bugger in the pond.
Are you feeling better now?
Hey Joyce, another road trip for you...you would love Dianne's neck of the woods..
weigelias are starting to bloom..bought a few white ones last year, not sure where they are planted but just opening now so by next week they should be a thing of beauty as well
anxious to see peonies in bloom
in the last photo it's difficult the see, but behind the pond is the pea tree that Joyce helped me pick and to the right of it a peony that is almost as tall and in bloom...now to find a peony fern..somebody ought to increase my allowance if I want to buy that one lol
Joyce, you just couldn't imagine how much growth I've had in greenery since you left.
Ooops did Judy see the firepit with garbage in it..best I clean it. Lol

3rd photo is part of the garden /front deck..should really be cutting down butterfly bushes and shrubs, again, greenery is taking over
this little 2' pocket motorcycle Noah says I must learn to drive tonight, heaven help me..
guess it's as good as any day to wash the front deck, get the water feature on it going then the back bedroom deck..will feel better once they are clean.
off to make a list of 'to do's' for my weekend, always feel like i've accomplished something when I cross them off..silly but it makes me more apt to get them done
awe - cute little fishy.......
you MUST learn to ride it? Really........... Betty......... and I'm sure you'll try, right? Knowing u....... lol
Bad storms last night. Blew over my prettiest ornamental crab into my redbud so has to be cut down. Glad it wasn't the trailer and my air conditioning is going out. No money to fix so will be hot this summer. thanks to Mr Scott. Love and prayers to all. More storms tonight and tomorrow and all next week. Farmers can't get their crops in OH MY!!! HUGS BEV
drats Bev, troubles/troubles...no news re Mr. Scott???
sorry you will have to cut it down.so beautiful..
no way of lifting it and replanting?
Love your gardens Betty, they are really pretty!
Bev, so sorry to hear you have damage. Have you talked to a lawyer about going after Scotty for money?
Well, I went to see the Dr. yesterday, only to come home so mad. The Dr. had to leave for emergency surgery, and I saw the PA assistant. I have never seen anyone so dumb! She finally came back to the room, with just a sheet of paper in her hands, asked me if I had been seen here before? I told her yes, just about 10 days ago, and if she went for my chart, she would know that, then started asking 500 questions, what are you here for, what meds ar you taking? I told her again, go get my chart and she would know! Well, she finally came back with a surprised look on her face, and said, Oh you have been here before! DUH!!! After reading my chart, she said, I am so sorry, I can't do anything for you, go home, stay on a liquid diet, and if the pain gets worse, go to the ER, and page the Dr. I begged her for something for the pain, and she said sorry, the State of Texas won't allow me to give you anything stronger than the Vicodin you already have!
So I came home, took 2 vicodin, and went to bed very angry! Still in pain this morning, and vicodin is keeping it tolerable!
OK, I am done ranting! Thanks for listening!
Bev - how sad - that crab tree is beautiful!
oh geeze, LK - what a dimwit!!
sorry to hear ur not getting the pain relief u need.............
Oh Betty, that is the perfect spot for the Pea tree! Is it still in bloom or have all the little flowers gone away for this year? So cute.
So sorry about the crabapple it is so beautiful.
LK, hate it when we have problems like yours with the PA. Geesh, where do these people come from!!??
Cutting back all my centauras. They are so big they are falling away from the center. So whack and then they'll grow back and bloom nicely again. They had gotten so big that the path to the porch was a hazard zone. Even the kitties had to jump to get there. Probably need to move the volunteers, but that will wait for another time!
Need rain so badly, still a no show here. Guess I'll start the watering. Maybe that will bring the rain!
LindaKay, am hoping that you will let the doctor know just how efficient his helper was..how madening! Maybe you would get better meds if you went to ER..this has been a long bout hasn't it? few weeks at least.
Joyce, do you have a lot in bloom?
that's why I moved some of the goats beard, the main plant should have been moved as well as the two others, i missed the boat on that one. here we have rain/rain and more rain and you have none..would have sent you some but you took away our sunshine last week..only the last few days am i seeing it.ok will send you some out of the goodness of my heart lol
drats, trying to decide if I should go into the office..my line keeps breaking up, not sure if it's due to dampness or what..every call I get is so broken up
Well Betty, I sure hope some carpet roses jump into your basket today. I have this horrible problem with plants doing that to me.
You can buy Voltaren over the counter in Canada? Oh my, that is what keeps my knee and me going. That stuff is the "bestest thing since sliced bread". Ah the perfume of choice for the older generation!! LOL
Workman are busy, busy, busy removing old ceiling downstairs....such a joyful sound. Yes, Joyce it has been a long time coming and I have a bottle of Baileys for when it is finished!!!! Speaking of bottles, I only need a few more blue bottles and my tree will be finished. All cobalt blue, thanks to Bud Platinum and Kim. :-) I tell her one a day keeps mom happy.
Well off to put my newly gained babies into their containers/ground.
Love Voltaren. I should have shares in the company. It is reaaly soothing on my hands. Weird it is OTC here and not for you all.
(((LK))) That is just terrible treatment LK. I agree I would be sure to mention this to your doc - not only is it terrible that is just down right unacceptable.
Been skeeter fodder for a couple of hours so Diesel and I have headed in for a bit. After having that skin cancer on my face even with a hat I try to avoid the sun from around 11 - 1. Local hardware handyman came and got the pump into the lake going in less than 10 sec. He also brought huge bags of water salt softener, carried them aroound the house and even filled the tank. Took down a screen door and took it back to be rescreened - only been 10 years since I could leave that door open. Warren wasn't much for change !
Oh Bev my heart goes out to you. Sending positive thoughts.
My goodness what is it with you ladies and your trees toppling over. I better hold my tongue as there is a big storm coming. Weather Liars say lots of wind.
Hope you can stay as cool as possible this weekend Debbie. If it gets really bad why don't you rent a motel room for 24 hours - tough if Paul doesn't like it and you could take Izzy with you.
Off to put my Eau de voltaren on my hands and knees.
Dianne
Dianne, love that way of thinking....Would like to pack them all up and just keep going. I am
not happy camper right now. I have yet (knock wood) to see a skeeter here...and do not miss them!
LindaKay, I wonder if the doctor can write a script....that the PA was not able or authorized by law...to do more.
But that the doctor could. Still....that was NOT acceptable treatment and procedure. Person should be called
on the carpet for that.
Betty, don't over do it! It is going to hit 90 here today they said...the humidity is what is the trough to handle.
Bev, sending lots of hugs and prayers your way. Those people need the 2 X 4 trreatment!!!
Waving to all.....
Debbie
Glad you're using it Dianne. A wonder for sure. Can't believe how fast it works.
Just ordered a couple of outfits like yours Betty. Got the big blue flowers and another blue one that's a smaller print. Can't wait. I'll have them for both days of the bus tour to Michigan.
A gardening buddy called and asked me to go on a covered bridge bus tour with her (Ohio) in October. I'm thinking about it. It's $250. If we get 4 in a room it would only be $200. Not sure if she wants to do that though. I'll ask Sherry and Kathy if they're up for another bus tour...might have to wait until after this one is over to see how it goes. Trouble is, they will only have 50 spots and it will be open to gardeners in all of Ohio...hmmmm...guess I'll run it by them this weekend and see what they have to say.
Yes, Betty...lots in bloom. The peonie (5 bushes, not including the two tree peonies) are all in bloom. Some of the iris are still blooming, pink evening primrose (which will be coming out as soon as the bloom is over!), two weigilia bushes, all those centaura, some verbena, rock soapwort, petunias, roses, just a few pink forget me nots left, and jupiters beard. Oh yes, 3 clematis. Wish my camera worked!
hmmm should get some Voltaren for my knee..
Absolutely!!!
I second Joyce!!! It really is a comfort Susan.
hmmmmm ok - will get some today
We got about 10 drops of rain a minute ago. Not enough to even chase me inside. I did see some things in bloom I forgot to mention. The columbine are all over the place. campanula, snow princess allysum (sp) celedine poppy and heucheras, guess that's all until my next walk!
Sending you my rain

Joyce you must take photo's..oh right can't find your cord to download right? Lol
I am envious of what is blooming, oh well 2-3 weeks for me.
Go for it Joyce, you know you want to, few more houses to clean and you will have the $$$' it's not the travel $$$ it's the $$$ to spend along the way
You feeling a bit better today Debbie
Got to run, have to put curls in my hair (gets chopped off in the a.m.) leave a note for Noah saying I'll be back by 6 with supper..and not to leave doors open because of a/c
Gab in a bit
Betty, I am napping at free will. Started a nasty cough earlier, but think the cough is breaking up my chest finally. I
swear by the potato soup my brother told me to make...has cleared my "smells and taste" up. Must have been the garlic!
Shannon is napping upstairs (My snoring was a bit much) and I took over DH's recliner! lol
Heading to the store, it must be done.
Debbie
omg, omg, omg....... just tried Voltaran, and it's Fabulous! Thank you SO much for telling me about it!!!!
got 50 g for $10, and can use it 4x a day
Any stronger and I'd have to get it from my Dr, but this feels Great!
Holy...... c&)* Thank you ladies, for telling me about it!!
Ah Susan, I see, has discover the miracle of walking....Voltaren!!! What! I pay $30.00 plus per tube...that just isn't fair.
it's ........... what a relief!!!!!!!!!!
it's like I don't have any probs with it! and can use up to 4x per day!!
feels....... warm.......
No, $$ disparity Isn't fair....... I can imagine what it would cost at WalMart...... ?!
I think Walmart is where we got ours while up there. I got the 50g for $8.97. I think. I know it was 8 something cause I just threw the bill away!
Is that your co-pay Marion? $30? My SIL gave me a tube she got by prescription. Didn't say what she had to pay for it. Is yours a cream or a gel?
Just let me know, I can send some voltaren gel to you next time I cross the border..
Was in Midland, saw the sky and said get yourself out of here, just heard noise out back, not sure what's down, almost afraid to go check, hope not gazebo..
Windchimes are just a chiming, am sure geese are going round and round.
Melanie just left, told her to stay or get home quickly..calling for high winds, hail and who knows what..perfect elements for tornado, now that we've had three or four in our region we. Take more precautions than we once did.
I do not know if these are still valid, but at 75% off Voltaren and the coupon is good at a number of pharmacies including CVS, RiteAid, Target and KMart.....it might be worth looking in to.
http://www.helprx.info/discounts?search[name]=VOLTAREN&utm_campaign=newmedia&utm_medium=search&utm_source=google&utm_term=voltaren&adid={AdID}&matchtype=e&Network=Search&SiteTarget&gclid=COzC3cStwbcCFWIV7AodXAoAhA
wow, Jean - Thanks! It says it's valid at Safeway, and we have a neighbourhood one.
Is that a store in the US too?
Oh, and we got a Target store that opened up recently too.......
Fantastic, great savings..must mean you can purchase without perscription in USA.
Joyce, we will look like twins should we be out wearing our pretty outfits. Lol
Girls Joyce's friends when their back was to us could not tell us apart..said we sounded the same!
Storm is easing off, too wet to be outside working so Noah and I ate, both in Jammie's..wouldn't you know it, on way in from town I stopped at a repair shop for small engines, last year in the fall I hit something, either I bent the shat or the blade, repairman said he would pick it up tomorrow morning but nope, came tonight so I'm soaken wet now after getting lawnmower out for him.
Noah ended up next door for chips, chocolate bars and treats..guess that is what kind of evening it will be here.
Should go wash my hair but having it cut in the a.m. So I'll just stay looking like a witch
Too welcome Susan. Yup, there are Safeways in the US...none near me though.
No Betty, you still need a prescription to buy Voltaren Gel in the US, but those stores all have pharmacies that will honor the coupon. And at 75% off Marion could get her's filled for less than $10.
Stay safe Betty, hopefully Noah is home so you aren't fretting about him. Hot, humid, menacing sky but still a brisk breeze off of the lake. The air outside feels weird. Don't know how to really describe it but it feels eerie.
Susan the Voltaren will really help you at night. In fact I keep a tube in my nightstand for nights when the pain is particularly bad.
LK how are you feeling tonight? Any better? I hate the thought of you being in so much pain.
Sending positive thoughts for those of you threatened by the weather. NBC just broke into Dateline to announce there is a hurrican on the ground in Oklahoma. Those poor people.
Debbie how are you doing tonight? Feeling any better, cough going away or is it a helpful cough? How is our Miss Izzy doing in this heat?
Mary, are you there????
Thunder how are your 2 guys doing?
Dianne
