Birds are chirping, sun is out and company in the house, what could be better.

Trying to be quiet, don't want to wake anyone so with coffee in hand I will sit and chat with you all.

Thunder I went back a few times to look at those little ones..Malena is beautiful, your DS will have his hands full and a job keeping boys away in later days..Ryleigh is gorgeous...bet your heart is just beaming

Kyle dropped in to chat last night, was here until the girls arrived then left.i so enjoy his visits..

Debbie, gave Joyce a hug..we talked about the gathering and had some laughs, good times and Joyce so enjoyed meeting you.

Mary, did you behave yourself in the meeting and did you come up ontop?

The girls enjoyed their drive, stopped and took in Niagara Falls, had supper and arrived about 9pm..amazed they were able to stay up and chat, including me, way past my bedtime.

Bit of a drag my having to work at home until 3pm but will be ready to go out for a few hours later on..it will be crazy out there seeing as its out first cottage country long weekend..
Girls would like to see the murals in midland so will doo that tonight as well, nice walking the the main street and checking out boutiques.
Tomorrow plans are to take a drive to Wasaga Beach/collingwood and perhaps as far as Meaford..girls are looking forward to seeing the area and going to a few nurseries.

Day begins, will be sure to get my camera out, take photo's

Barb I will be sure to take photo's and update as much as I can..want you to be part of this visit. Miss your Norm, he would have been to Midland and back having timmies coffee and donuts in hand for us, will never forget that visit..truly special time for me..

Because we don't quite have enough containers for the entire group Tuesday likely we will do my set and my sister's set before then so we know we have everything needed ..

The set I got from Joyce in Frankenmuth are still in the basement, I will set them in the garden today.

Bit hazy this morning as I took a few pain meds last night, still haven't worn off..didn't help that I got the weeder going last night and did front ditch, 1st time it got weeded, normally I use the lawnmower but with all the rain it has a few inches of water in it so no could do..

Well should boil some potatoes, cool them off for home fries..maybe the smell of bacon will rouse them from their sleep!

A few things growing in Texas...
I finally have my caladiums growing, and my very first calla lily, purple. It looks pink in the pictures, but it is purple!

Linda Kay, I put mine in the microwave for about 5 minutes....then fry them. Yes, they cook faster.

Love your caladiums, I need some for the yard.

Heading off to Buffalo, I hate this drive to the inner city. Have to take some of DDs med records to new doctor
so they will see her sooner. Sigh. BUT it is a start.

Moonbeam!! Loved all your Roses!! Nice variety...Had a friend once, that only grew roses. I did a garden cake for her birthday with her favorite quote from Richard Sheridan "Won't you come into my Garden? I would like for my Roses to see you" So funny my friend had "Moon" in her name too...Any way she lives in Colorado and she always covers her roses in her lace table clothes.
..lost my Garden Party, a lavender Rose, but i got to enjoy her Beauty for about 5 years! Big bummer Tubbies rose didn't make it back this year either...Im thinking they just didn't care for that area, will try in another area, I just love Roses too.
I am also so very Happy to report, my Carol's Love is looking splendid this year., gave her a good pruning and i think she liked it....will have to give her a banana shake.

We made it back from the City. Dang but it is a jungle driving down there! I had Shannon help navigate, am a bit familiar...but with construction and so many big
curves and one way streets....eeeks!

I get home to find out we had a 5.0 earthquake here....and I missed it! lol

Izzy still isn't feeling well. Spoiled dog has a bed and blanket made on the couch and honestly doesn't move from it much, just sleeping.
She had a bath and a oatmeal conditioner treatment for her skin yesterday.....then I needed a bath after!

It is beautiful out....slight breeze, but sunshine.

Thanks everyone, this is my first year for the caladiums and the calla lily, I was just amazed at the color they give! They are in the front yard, full sun, and so far they are doing good!

Just got back from the Drs - I have osteoarthritis in my left knee, and a tear in the meniscus.
The osteo got worse when I fell in Apr 2011, but it was there before. He's referring me to a specialist, and as I'm willing to travel just outside of Calgary, it will be quicker.

Good interview this am - they offered me a job, starting next Thurs, but told them I would have to get back to her, because I had an interview yesterday and another one to come on Tues.
Also (altho I didn't say this to her), they don 't pay benefits, and it's "casual" but permanent. It saves the co $$ if they don't hire permanently, but they don't let anyone "go" either.
Originally they were hiring for an office assistant to the private assistant to the owner, but said that they wouldn't put me in that position. Reason being - I'm better than the current one cuz she's task-oriented only and can't see the bigger picture around her. She's good at what she does, but I can do both, and if I were to work under her that would stifle my abilities because she wouldn't have me do anything more than "tasks"
I've told her that I would be getting back to her on Tues pm or Wed at the latest. She gave me her cell # so I could call her on Sat or Monday (yes, she knows it's a long w/e...). She really wants me there, but without benefits, and contract?! oh it's M-F, 10am to 6pm and that's not a problem. It's only 1/2 drive from home, and that's good.

Made a tote today for Norm's PA. I have been away from the machine for a while and it felt good getting back to it. The hospital said no more totes until June so I can do some of the things I want. Must get busy with birdhouses!!!!

Dianne, here's hoping the beavers are done with their destruction!!! We have them here too and they are constantly damming one brook or another trying to make more ponds. Our wildlife officer has to make weekly rounds to check on them.....

Good morning all.
And here I thought I was finally talking again Deb!!! We are both doing fine. Norm's company bought out another one and he is very involved in conversion programs etc. Comes home each night pulling his hair out - I have tuffs all over the house!! Oh wait, that is the cat's fur! It has finally started to warm up here and she is shedding like crazy... Me, well I've been sewing up a storm again. Made several little credit card holders and a new tote for Norm's favorite PA.
Mary, they have several totes still on hand right now so I'm only taking one month off from making them. I am looking at making wheelchair quilts now as something different. I thought I would make up a couple and see if they are something usable at the hospital or as a gift for when someone leaves hospital to take with them... I get so many thoughts at times!!!!

Tomorrow is an all day horse show - state finals for the high school equestrian team. Brandon is riding with the drill team. He did well this year considering he is riding a new horse that has never been in a show before. Lily had only been off the farm once before too. So she has a lot to learn and B is looking forward to training her. His teammates had never been in shows before and they did qualify for finals and as captain he will be cheering loud and clear.....
And of course Papa and Gram will be too!!!

Off to make up a shopping list as Norm is going shopping for me. I'm so lucky - I get to stay home and play.
