Gardens Gems Purchased for 2013 PT 2

I was noticing some different color of rudbeckia for sale at Bluestones. I like the colors of cone flowers, but dislike their 'wilted daisy' form.

Mine have been getting mildewed in late summer......also eaten by something.......

'wilted daisy' is a great description.

The plants I got (1gal and 3 gal) had some holes in the leaves but otherwise looked quite healthy. I'd say they have not spent much time outside. Hope whatever the growers did to produce them doesn't negatively effect their ability to settle in for the long haul, They are in full bloom now which is a bit later than I suspect they will be in seasons to come.

Will watch out for mildew as they mature those seeds!
