First day at the gym. Will be sore!

An assortment of the machines. Need to learn some new stuff. Have not worked out at a gym since '96. Been working out at home. Lots of new things!

I've been trying to change things up...been doing "aerobics" of some sort and light free weights for 27 years. Hard to get used to the machines, not sure if I like them or not. My husband has been showing me but it's so different than an instructor leading a class. So much is hard for my back.

I run on the treadmill to warm up before doing the strength stuff. I still walk outside as my primary aerobic, but now will mix in the elliptical and other stuff at the gym.

Thanks for the positive ID...couldn't see the ring on the bill, & that's how I recognize the ring-billed.....a friend in art class just returned from FL...her DH is a bird photographer...stunning photos of male & female painted buntings, kestrel, meadowlark, & several others.....& talked to my stepson the other day, he was regaling me with the birds he saw on the Peace River....I really miss FL this time of year!

My friend's school was on lock down cause someone noticed some hunters near the school....geez people,just trying to hunt some dinner for their family

I have never seen the painted buntings in all the years I've lived here. We had indigo buntings in Connecticut, and they were so beautiful, but I've always wanted to see a painted bunting. Still lookin'...... The hawks have been huge in our back yard this year.
