This is the birdhouse Judy made all by herself, then she added the stones! I love this birdhouse! When Judy was in Michigan, she went with us to my Uncles house, when we were touring the gardens, they had several of these stone birdhouses on post, and we both made comments how pretty there were. Judy went home and duplicated it, and she did a wonderful job! She also sent some beautiful Christmas kitchen towels. And then she made this beautiful hummingbird windsock! Pictures does not show all the detail, it is so pretty!
Oh, she also sent a gift card to Joann's fabric shop!
Judy, thanks so much for all your thoughtfulness! I love everything you made and sent! Sending you big ((((((((((((((((((((((((((ARMWRAPS))))))))))))))))))))

Waylon just looked at the soup...he said to tell Y'all "quilters are crazy " :)
I have made the "reindeer poop" bags and the "snowman poop"
Reindeer Poop bag is:
You've been bad
so here's the scoop
All you get
is Reindeer Poop And you fill baggy with milk duds, whoppers, choc. covered raisins or similar candies.
And the same for snowman but put in the marshmellows and bag of hot chocolate.
I like the snowman soup much better!

Had a lovely morning with my best beloved (DH!).
Later, in about 3 hours, will start having guests arrive for Christmas dinner!
Best get going!
Merry Christmas to all this morning......not snow but plenty of rain and bad weather.
Had breakfast with son, DIL and granddaughters.......what entertainment they did provide!
My son surprised me by making me a new set of legs for my cutting table his dad gave me about 25 years ago for Christmas. The legs had warped on the original and wouldn't hold the tops up any more. It was still a very nice top, perfect height for me and I just wasn't ready to part with it yet. The new legs will make it better than new again.
Going to rest a while as my knee was given ore activity than it should have been today.
how wonderful - a new set of legs for a cherished table!!
What a meaningful gift Marion..bet it brought tears to your eyes seeing as it had such sentimental value!
Oh gosh Linda kay love the pictures...especially the one of you an Dylan!
It is just precious. What a beautiful shepherd Luna is...isnt it wonderful how gentle she is with the baby. Sure hope the meds grts rid of the issues and quickly.

Hard day, off and on Darlene has been very short with me, know its a hard day for her so thought I'd come to bed, try not to take it personally and give her some time alone..head is just a pounding...
Won't be long many of you will be heading to bed as well
Night night
Sweet dreams Betty, hugs to the both of you
Merry Christmas Everyone !
(HUGS) Betty... so sorry she has been short with you... a true friend you are to chalk it up to how difficult it must be for her this time of year...
Love seeing everyone's pics... Thunder the quilt is gorgeous. Santa pics are awesome...
Hugs
Mary
Betty - I'm sharing with you all of the love, hugs and thanks that I got today. It was enough to fill up all of us. I'm still high, hugs, katie
You have given so much of yourself to Darlene this holiday season Betty. You are truly a dear dear friend to her. I only hope she realizes how much of yourself she has had....I can't help but think that your family made plans to be away over Christmas because you told them a while ago that you would do this for Darlene. That way you would not have been feeling you were deserting your own family at Christmas. I have a great deL of respect for your actions my friend. I'm very proud of you. Now, when are you coming back home???
Morning all,
Thank you for kind words..appreciated them..let's hope today will be a better day!
Boxing day at home ( your black Friday). Everyone will be bustling to get the best deals in town, had I been home I would be out spending my Christmas $$.
Are calling for rain today so not sure what is on the agenda, likely sitting and doing nothing..back is still bad to be walking the park. Likely I'll try calling the family again.
Did you all get some just the thing you wanted for Christmas??
Is resting on your 'to do' list today?
Morning everyone! Hope you have a better today Betty, please take it easy, and get rid of that pain!
I woke up this morning with a darn head and chest cold. I took lots of decongestants, and vitamin c tablets. I will keep myself bundled up and warm today!
You will get a chuckle out of this!!! I've been complaining to Norm about not being able to go to pulmonary function rehab because of the new hours. (It runs until after dark and I don't do night driving unless I have to!) So he got me a DVD set of excercises to do while sitting!!! And he got me two new books to read ---- while sitting!!! So can't you see me now trying to read while pushing up my arms and lifting my legs????? I just need to chuckle when I think of doing both!!!.
.
We are expecting a lot of snow tomorrow so I'm saving my reading time for then and making sure my Ipad and Norm's Kindle Fire are well charged!!!!! We seldom lose pwer here as our lines are underground but....12-16 inches of snow can bring down a lot of feeder lines....
Betty, Stacy was thrilled with the skates Sean made for her. They were very prominately displayed yesterday!!! Sean was very thoughtful in his gifts this year. He got Papa a gel cushion for his truck because he has to drive so much. He got me, Grammy, a new hummingbird feeder. He really pays attention to what is going on around him. He got his Dad a new safety helmet to be worn when he is sawing and splitting wood which included a pair of ear protectors and he gave his Mom some pretty silver earrings to go with her skates. He always amazes me.
I'm off to play with the twisted wreath pattern for a while. I made a new set using 5" blocks this time and now I'm ready to cut. BBL...
What wonderful gifts..if you ever need books Barb for the e-reader simply let me know authors and I'll get Jeff to put on stick and send to you..he did it for Susan and I'm not sure how many he sent her..likely in the high hundreds..something for everyone. Mi think if I were to read a book a day I'd run out in 2030. Lol
Hope you enjoy the "twisted" piece as much as I did...watch for mailman over next few days..
Jut hitch, owner of the trailer just called, Darlene is off walking, my back won't take walking so I answered the telephone, repairman will be here anytime today and latest 10am tomorrow mornimg..that might de stress Darlene somewhat. Who knows, seeing as one has to be here during those hours I'll offer to stay while she goes to Walmart for a few things and then maybe I'll go up to Joann's, machine won't be in yet but I should be able to get a lesson in and maybe pick up a few goodies.
Do any of you buy the extended warrantee when you purchase a new machine?
Maybe I can wait and buy it in Midland when I get home.
I have never bought the extended warranty, but probably should have with all the machines I have been through.
I will ask how much..someone also said that when you buy extended it doesn't start after your regular year warrantee but day of purchase
Betty make sure they have coverage in Canada for that, and you don't have to ship it somewhere in the USA for repair as that can add BIG $$ to the cost.
Betty - if you were one to be really hard on a machine I could understand getting a warranty. However you treat your machines well. I would think a simple repair when needed would be cheaper than the warranty. On the other hand - the machine is going traveling soon and anything could go wrong then. This is one time I would consider getting it but ONLY if it starts AFTER the original factory warranty. Also-you might think of NOT taking it out of its original packing until after it gets home. They pack them so well and we can never get them back as well.. Just some ideas running thorugh my head.....
I did ask Debbie and she said its all under husqvarna corporate and all could be done in midland.
Might do that Barb, once you take items out of box you can never get it back in. Should not open but if something were wrong with it from the get go I could have it replaced, besides you all know how much patience I have. Lol
That's true my friend. Patience isn't a part of you - or least a lot of patience with things.... People - you are great.......
Day here is a bit lighter, thank the Lord and your prayers..one of us has to stay in today and Darlene thinks a trip to Joann's would be neat..just to browse and no pressure to leave..might do after lunch.
How is the twister cutting coming along?
Mornin' everyone. Thankfully the bad weather did not materalize like that said it could.......Jean, Mary hope you are all okay as I think I saw where it did pass through your areas. Calling for more rain later today.
Betty, you had just better rest up as I am still making plans to come down and hopefully all of us, yes including Darlene, can met one night for dinner. Not sure yet what day we will leave as I need to let some of the swelling go down yet again in my knee. BTW, exactly where in the Ft. Myers area are you and Darlene?
Kim and I just didn't feel like doing our dinner yesterday so we will have our prime rib today. Weather was more condusive to sleeping not cooking. Did make 2 more small gifts last night. :-) My granddaughters were so excited about their camo scraves I had crocheted for them, they both asked me to make one for their American Girl dolls. Who would have thought that would be the "hit" gift. Kids!!! LOL Gotta love 'em to death!!!!

Good Morning everyone. We are under a Winter Storm Warning not a Watch so it is definitely coming. I was just out with the dogs and while the sun is not shining brightly it is wonderful out. Great temp!
Betty, Darlene is so lucky to have you in her corner. You have been there yourself so probably are a little more tolerant of moods and attitudes than some would be. One of the reasons I didn't want to join friends yesterday as I was afraid I would do just what Darlene did - become short and cranky with everybody. Plus I hate crying in front of people and I knew the day was going to make me cry no matter what happened or where I was. Here's hoping as each day passes Darlene will return to her old self..... Betty you and I both know how hard it is to make that journey. Have fun at Joanne's!
My body took over yesterday and I slept the day away. Must of needed it as I slept well last night too. Consequently I didn't see as many of my DVDs as I had thought I would. Oh well all the more to watch now that terrible weather will be descending upon us. It is on VHS but the one movie I am really enjoying is China Beach. Do any of you remember the TV series? Dana Delany and Marg Helgeburger(sp?) are both in it. I did break down though and bought a turkey breast to roast. I have 2 turkeys in the freezer but that is just way too much for me to eat up no matter how many sandwiches, pies and chowder I make. House smelt delicious and I found out the oven remembered how to work.
Katie I can just visualize you out on your mission yesterday. I bet those kids couldn't get enough of you.You set a wonderful standard for other people to live up to I must say.
How is Luna LK? Missy Quill is doing quite well considering the state she was in Dec 23. Still not too interested in eating but I think she is playing me so she can get treats from my hand. She loves bread so when she won't eat a piece of that I get really worried. Even with all of Luna's diagnosed ailments LK GS are well known for their 'nervous' stomach. Poor Stormy had a very nervous tummy.
Wonderful gifts from Judy! You don't let your light shine enough Judy - you are very tlented.
Barb, sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas Eve and Day. LOL at Norm's gifts - how thoughtfu of him. But of course I wouldn't have expected anything else from him - he's a keeper that's for sure.
Thea????? Did you survive Christmas Day?
Debbie I am glad Shane made an appearance on Christmas Day. I am sorry he was hurt by his sisters' however he needs to realize how much he has hurt them, you and Paul too. Lots of turkey leftovers?
Snow is just starting to fall - it is a gorgeous winter wonderland back here already. Full moon on Dec 28, I can hardly wait to see the snow covered trees in that light!
Make sure you all do something to treat yourself today ladies!
Dianne
Glad to hear your getting some rest Dianne.
Thanks for asking, Luna is doing a bit better, she goes a day or two before she gets sick to her tummy, so I am praying the pills are working. We will find out more on Friday when we take her in for a follow up.
Yes, lots of turkey left overs....and an entire pie! If my tummy wasn't jumpy....I would have had pumkin pie for breakfast!
Dianne, that storm is scary. They are talking 18 to 24 inches here. I highly doubt we will get that (praying no)...but we are long over do.
YES, DS has hurt many. BUT I told him we are given a new day to start new....and make right choices. His sisters hurt him so bad when I was
gone, that I didn't know about it until just now hearing bits and pieces. Then their behavior yesterday (proves wine was doing the "hugging" Christmas Eve).
I wish they would learn that sometimes words can do more damage than anything physical.
So happy Dianne you are making turkey breast!!!
