Things that make you go "hmmmm" or Say what???!!!! Pt 5

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

I just started a diet and bought some sugar free raspberry jello! It WAS my favorite kind and one of the few carb less treats that I looked forward to. How can this actually be true???????????????

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Have never seen a beaver with an unhealthy looking a**.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

The more I read about it, I think it's actually listed as "natural" not artificial
cause here's info if it's listed as artificial
"artificial raspberry flavors that are not regulated and are produced unscrupulously have been found to be carcinogenic. Long term consumption of artificially created flavors has exacerbated the risk of cancer in the past. Also, given the fact that it is synthetic in nature, artificial raspberry can trigger a host of adverse health effects and allergic reactions when consumed. The artificial flavor has also been known to cause damage to certain vital organs in the body such as the kidneys."

Have you checked resale stores and eBay? Since wearing fur has become un-politically correct in some circles - I would think you might be able to find a bargain in a slightly pre-worn coat. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STUNNING-Beaver-Fur-Jacket-Car-Coat-28-Zipper-Banded-Soft-Reds-NO-RESERVE-/230917483514?pt=US_CSA_WC_Outerwear&hash=item35c3c12bfa I like this one better http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-WOMENS-JACKET-COAT-REAL-SHAEARED-BEAVER-FUR-CUSTOM-MADE-SMALL-MEDIUM-/321065699051?pt=US_CSA_WC_Outerwear&hash=item4ac101c6eb

I know that I can buy beaver meat food for dogs and cats sometimes - so there must be beaver pelts available to furriers.

(I didn't know if the cats would eat beaver, so I never bought any.).

I would go to an auction 1st. Speaking of auctions if you would like to see some doll house furniture, this is it. I have never seen anything like this. Amazing and I am sure Cha Ching

Amazing, though not surprising at all, how little coverage there is in the media for Menendez. WAY worse than other scandals covered wall to wall by them. Sickening.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

You think there is an agenda of some sort? Hmmmmm?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

That's funny...I'm like the spell check police on people's posts, drives me crazy..I know it's something so minor but makes me nuts

Had heartburn all day, wanted to do something all natural for it, 2 tbls of apple cider vinegar in cup of water...worked great.. who knew?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's odd. Acid for acid???

Thomaston, CT

Bananas are also supposed to work.....

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

No bananas in the house

Thomaston, CT

I always have bananas....very good source of potassium...and, when too ripe, can be baked into cookies!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

or bread!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I've heard about the cider vinegar working. Never heard of bananas though, they come back on me can't imagine it would make me feel better.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Baking soda

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

That's what I would have used. Neutralizes acid.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

And it's so yummy

1 teaspoon baking soda in a cup or less of water.

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

I use about 1/3 cup of water but maybe less soda too, I don't measure, just sprinkle some in a glass

Same here, I take about 3-4 sips. Burp Whamo Gone.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Baking soda here too. :)

Thomaston, CT

Steep a hunk of fresh ginger in a cup of boiling water...add a teasp. of honey...sip.....

Hillsborough, NC(Zone 7b)

Ginger gum sold at whole foods too. I wonder if ginger-ale wouldn't get the ginger part out of the way and the burp part too!.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Try baking soda AND apple cider vinegar. Kids will enjoy the show...

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

Hee hee

central, NJ(Zone 6b)
