I have all my Christmas gifts all wrapped and the ones to be shipped are allllll winging their way across the country to various destinations.. woo hoooo feels good to have it all done .. I finished off wrapping the ones that will for under the tree at Christmas here at home.. My daughter said she is coming for a few days.. and then Larry's son and gs will be here to do a bit of deer hunting right after Christmas, so will pick up his families gifts then..

Larry cooked supper tonight.. Venison in gravy with mashed taters and green beans.. The venison was fork tender and deeelish.. we will eat the leftovers tomorrow after church..

It rained today, and in my rush to shut the bedroom window, I tripped over the doggie stairs and fell.. and twisted my leg.. yep.. the one that has the Sciatica in it.. that hurt.. but I got the window closed and the floor mopped up.. Larry didn't even hear me fall.. he was so wrapped up in his Perry Mason films.. sheesh..

Betty, I have had lots of compliments on the beautiful table runner... thank you so much again.. It is a treasure..

I am off to see what I can get into.. maybe read some more of my bible study in Revelation.. It sure is an eye opener.. wow..

Morning all..

No snow here this morning, that's a good thing..might get a few things pick up in the yard between sitting on the couch and painting workshop projects..so looking forward to an easy day!!

Debbie love the photo's and I'm sure you wish another few days at the beach would have been possible.

Carolyn, nice to have the Christmas goodies wrapped and in the mail..now to wait for the ohhh's and ahhh's of family/friends when they receive them..hope you are not hurting too badly this morning.

Looked over at the table and see the 6 table matts sitting there that need binding for DIL and just told myself nope, have all of next week to get them done and that will be good enough..Promised that it's rest and playtime for me.

Got to pick a night to stop into Bernie's and drop off that stained glass window hanging, visit with Aunt Muriel and a trip to Suzanne's when Lenny is home to give gifts there..was going to visit with Ann to give her hers but she comes on Tuesday nights for t.v. bingo so can do hers then..June also drops in from time so really when I've almost 2 weeks left I've plenty of time to get it done..

My Trixie pooch woke me up to go out this am... and probably a good t hing.. I need to shower and have my coffee before attempting to kick my brain into gear.. LOL

Today's plans are:

Go to Sunday School and church
Come home and clean out the frige..
Sort through Larry's med and get any needed ordered...

Dinner will be leftover venison, so don't have to cook.. Guess I will be slug for the rest of the day..

My Sciatica is pretty brutal this am... took a Lortab already.. and will surely need it in order to sit through SS and the service this am.. I am going to try.. again... to reach my surgeon to see what else can be done to alleviate the intense pain from this Sciatica.. it is so much worse than before my back surgery.. but at least my back doesn't hurt now.. So far any attempts to reach him have been futile... I am going to ask God to intervene and prompt the doctor t o at least look at my situation and tell me what in hades is going on..

Dianne, I know that last year and I was sooo disappointed that your workshop box did not make it although the tracking number said it was delivered, think the mailman's wife had fun doing the project lol that I packed up another box then wasn't sure if I should mail...

know you don't want to think about Christmas, but here it sits, would you like me to send it??

Just a quick post and apology to Linda Kay, my Santa Warren, for not opening her gift yet. I picked up my parcel yesterday at the PO but have had company since and want to be alone to open it.Company was to come for an afternoon vist from Toronto and ended up staying over. LK There has be tobe something in that box for the dogs as they are both VERY interested in the box. I moved it into the closet or I am positive it would have been ripped open by 2 anxious dogs. Will be back later to tell you what is in this heavy box ....... need to feed company so they can be on their way.

Betty, go ahead and send the parcel. It will do me good to have something Christmasy to so. The postman no longer delivers any large envelopes or boxes that would fit in the mailbox. I raised a stink last year and I think they have flagged me on the PO watch out for list. I go into the village to pickup all things that aren't just regular post.

Rita just left, came to borrow my rag quilt 'accuquilt'..she and her niece are doing rag quilts and when she saw how it ragged a few weeks ago thought it a waste of time to cut them when she could just drive over and get the machine.

Said she had something for me and would drop it off..drats..better I make one more Christmas runner lol

This household will continue making goodies for Kim to take to school next week. In addition to her classes, she has a faculty party to prepare for and a professional club party. I think she is planning to do the strawberry Santas she saw on facebook. Well that is the last word I heard.

Went out to dinner last night with some friends....actually 3 mothers and their 3 grown daughters. Had a ball!!! My sides are sore from laughter. Decided during dinner we would try to find a movie to go to....thank you smart phones and iPads!!!!! Saw Life of Pi. I really enjoyed it but it is heavy and deep!! If you don't want to be left thinking a lots about things....I would advise not seeing. Having said that I will add all 6 of us agreed it was a very good choice.

You had a full day then Marion..Thought it would be nice to go to a movie over the holidays, perhaps we can see that one...with Darlene dealing with all her issues do you think it would be too heavy for her to see?? Strawberry santa's ? Do let us know how they taste..

Making headway on the cleaning..here is hoping by mid afternoon all on the main level will be done..have to go next door for paper towels so I can get the mirrors all sparkly..

Hard to say Betty as each one of the six of us had a very different reaction. It is very spiritual but the scenery is really beautiful. Might want to check it out on the internet to form an opinion about seeing.

The strawberries are stuffed with whipped cream cheese so I can only imagine they will be decadent!!!!!

Now someone mentioned venison, so I have a question. The guy who hunts on our land gave us some backstrap and I'm wondering how I should fix that. Any suggestions? Please?

Spent all day at DD Lisa's yesterday with 3 generations baking and making candy. Last item was homemade marshmallows. They had to sit for at least 4 hours or overnight, so I didn't get to taste them, but the ingredients were really yummy tasting when I licked the bowl!!!!

Today I'm doing what I had intended to do yesterday, continue cleaning carpet and getting Christmas decorations up....whew, what a job!

Yes, won't be that long Joyce..if Paul does indeed do the luncheon on the Thursday then I'll be ready to leave early/early Friday morning..now that is providing no blizzard going on..I don't mind travelling with snow but Darlene is terrified...

the trip this year is making her as comfy and stress free as possible and getting through both Christmas and NewYears..

I've been too busy to misbehave, Betty!!!

This coming week is no better! Monday, lunch with girlfriends, Tuesday, house cleaning for Margaret and delivering 7 bags of candy. Wednesday, lunch with girlfriends, Thursday house cleaning Gwen, Friday, getting 3 cats spayed and cleaning house for Peg. Saturday, picking SIL up at airport, and Christmas party for pond club. (Betty and Judy, I'll be getting your calendars then!) One night this week we're going to have dinner with friends and either one night this week or next week we're going to the Cincinnati zoo's Festival of Lights and then on another night a progressive dinner with friends to see each others Christmas decorations...Sheesh...I'm tired just typing all that!

My apologies to LK but I am not going to open the parcel today. It is just too sad of a day now that I have been contacted with the news that John (my neighbour) who is so good to me passed away last night.He had a bad heart and has experienced problems for year. I will miss him. So given how I feel I would like to open my parcel tomorrow. Ambulance came in about 11 pm last night, Diesel and Quill started to warble to the sirens so I knew something was up just didn't know who or where. Here the ambulance, police and firefighters ALL have to come when a 911 call is made.

Hey Joyce, sounds like your just as busy as Betty is! I made a large Dresden plate tree skirt today, I will get a picture of it and post in a bit. Sanded off the paint mistake, and repainted red, now waiting for it to dry, to decorate tomorrow.

My Santa Warren gift will go out tomorrow. I didn't get it out before I left.

We are getting snow right now also, it can leave.

DH is sick, I have been sleeping almost 3 hours....and I am just out of commission.

DH caused havoc in the house while I was gone and now I have no desire to do anything for Christmas. On top of DS's escapades I am just lost.
DH starts projects and never finishes, I have enough with depression this time of year. I have the center beam in the house half covered in wood putty, same
with the stairs, the back steps "half finished" and out of whack. It is all something I can't do.

My Izzy has hurt her leg somehow and limping badly also....sigh

Betty - Bob's on a training course, so it won't go on forever. It's meant to help him get a regular paying job. Right now he's getting minimum wage, which is about 1/2 of what he's used to getting, and less than 1/2 of what he should get. Still, can't complain - at least he's earning, and it makes him feel better!

Well let's hope the training will lead to full time employment..guess you've been busy with your church events?

Drats, thought I was low key today, rested quite a bit, quiet in my own way but I've a doozer of a headache, vomiting part of it so took meds, now hopinfpg that a good nights rest will help.

Calling dr's office tomorrow, who knows, maybe I will get an appointment in this year..

Had Hibiscus Club Christmas party today and was very happy my present was "Stolen" once in the secret Santa. The Pressies I picked ALL FIRST THREE were stolen ! But was very happy with hibby wine glasses I went home with.

Model A Party is tomorrow night. I made potato salad and stored in a bowl with aluminum foil in frig until I went online and learned that is not a good idea... so put plastic wrap over the top.

Sis and Dad Christmas are all boxed up and ready to mail. Why am I so far ahead on Christmas ? I don't know.

I bought Malena an "interactive" baby doll. she sucks on a pacifier and makes noises. wriggles her face,makes baby noises when you cuddle her and closes her eyes to go to sleep. Too Freakin' cute!!! I had to get it !!! she is gonna hafta have a baby to take care of when Her Momma has her new little sister or brother.......

would like to find a basket to fix up into a little bed for her, make a little quilt....glad I have a while to look...

Just found out Waylon's best bud just got home from Afghanistan ^_^ he called to see if he can come stay with us for a few weeks after Christmas!!!!
I really hated that he was over there.... so very Happy he is back in the USA !!!
