Best/Worse/What did I learnt today?Chat with friends..
Jean, we are not in the 70's but lordy is gorgeous out there. Would have been a great day to be home putting up Christmas lights..
So can relate Jean, was in the 80s over the weekend, and upper 70s yesterday and today. Oh well, we do what we can..I have several large trash bags of shredded paper, wonder if I spread it over the yard I can convince the neighbors it is snow? :-)
Love the little mouse!!! That would be a wonderful piece to have a cross stitch pattern. Humm, wonder if I can find a way to do that?
did have a program on my computer that I bought, changed computer and never did have it added..you scan the photo and it gives you graph and colors you need just like when you buy a kit.. did photo of my boys, was going to petit point it, bought all the threads and did about 20 rows and there it sits in a bag..
Mouse is cute though, you'd likely enjoy doing it.
mouse is adorable...
I had to go get lab work this morning and the place was standing room only!!! took longer than ever before ! guess the snow bird season is in full swing....
will have to remember to NOT do this in December....
now I must finish a piece of sewing...to get it into the mail....

Try this marion.
Hey Marion. That is a Mary Englebreit design. She has a rubber stamp available with that image, and I know you can find cross stitch patterns of her art...maybe even a pattern of this one. i thought it a sweet image. I did some searching and found that Plaid Bucilla puts out that cross stitch pattern. I think it is item 85019. I found one on Ebay, but it was sold...including the link FYI..

yep, that is the program LindaKay..
Thanks LK and Jean. I had forgotten I have a program that will allow me to do that...duh! Guess mind is to cluttered this morning to think clearly.
Sitting quietly, mellowing out, that's what drugs do to you right??? lol
Finished quilting and putting the binding on a small table runner, this morning at the office added the binding, just finished hand stitching..here is hoping it will fit in the box
Starting to have very little in my stash..have 2 grocery bags filled with either strips or charms..will see what can be made of them..

Well wake up everyone! If I have to be awake so does everyone else! LOL!!!
It's 75* here in Arkansas, ridiculous. but the cold front is coming through so it will cool it off, but it's still supposed to be in the mid to high 60's, we're supposed to be in the low to mid 50's I think. I was watching a show the other night and it said that the earth has been warming up for 100 years now and it has happened before, they have fossils of tropical plants and trees and animals at the poles.
Betty do you have any snow at all?
Waving big time Crissy, am awake..lol
No snow and it's 49F at the moment..calling for temps inlow 40's although does say possible flurries tomorrow..who knows..
Well hello Crissy. Glad to see you posting. A sunny 75 here at the moment.
Sheesh that is warm, of course I'd be freezing at 49F.
Hi Marion! Hope all is well with you, I tried to catch up and ended up laughing at myself. It's a stormy 75 here, we're cloudy and just had some thunderstorms that's associated with the front pass through, they're gone now though. We need some rain, bad.
49 is almost short/short weather Crissy..lol
Wish Suzanne would be finished with her meeting so we can go for lunch..only good thing about such a late lunch is there will hardly be any time left to the day.
Haven't heard from Ann, we have not played t.v. bingo in two weeks, wouldn't car if we cancelled again tonight!
Wow Betty, is she doing ok?
I've been gone so long I am about 4 threads out of the loop and that's not healthy for me!
well Hello Crissy :) so nice to see you
I have a friendly little reminder for EVERYONE !!!!!!
When is the last time you had your dryer vent cleaned out????? we just had a new dryer delivered, and installed. when the guy pulled out the old one.....he discovered that our vent hose was bent, burned and melted !!!! in many places !!! said we were probably a hair away from a fire, more than once!!!! very scary :( it takes a lot of heat to melt metal.....
Hubs and I are both thinking it was cleaned out about six months ago???? tech gut says it would not hurt to check it on a monthly basis.....
more sewing to do, I will check in again later...
CRISSY....really good to see you !!!! ^_^
Often check Thunder, as well even though I take lint of the tray every once in awhile I vacuum it so air will filter through..
Lucky you, could have been disastrous!
Thunder, that is something everyone really, really needs to be aware of..........friends of ours lost their home to a dryer fire! Yeap, checked at this house.
You will catch up Crissy...just keep plugging through! So good to see you posting again.
Oh my! I've never heard of that Thunder! YIKES!! You're supposed to take the lint off of the lint screen after every load, this keeps the dryer drying properly but I've never heard of cleaning the vent.
Crissy, you will be amazed at the amount of lint that can get stuck in the hose from the dryer to the outside vent. It is unreal!!!
I bet, I've never thought of it before. I know I swept holes in the vent of the dryer at my house not long before I left, oops! I'll get a new one when I get the rest of my belongings, including the washer and dryer.
Judy - that snowflake - done with a punch drill? It's gorgeous!
((((((Crissy!!!!!!!))))) Good to see you posting again!!
Thunder - what a good idea, to clean the vent! I know we did, when we changed to a new-to-us dryer, but that was almost a year ago! Time to check again......
Hello To All ;
Waving to Crissy - nice to see you again ! How free and happy you sound !
Judy love that snowflake ! I supposed I'd roll it in a bunch of white glitter LOL...
Thunder - great advice. Did my mickey ears cleaning of the laundry room but didn't think to clean inside the dryer... just may go do that in a bit...
Hugs
Mary
Annndddd, if some of you sew and have washed/dried rag quilts, yikes the threads are encased in motor area.
Ann was here, nope, didn't win at tv bingo, drats, had it already spent. Maybe I was sleeping when she arrived..sure need different meds that don't zonk me out, needed 3 numbers, maybe they were called and i just didnt mark them ..also we were so busy gabbing might have missed them..Ann's nephew is door poorly, had an appointment for end of December, they called him and want him at Princess Marguerite (cancer hospital) on Thursday..heart wasn't into bingo..we use this time together to fix the pains of the world.
Put in a good day, ended up finishing a table runner, sewed a panel so I can try one of those 'twisted' quilted wreath pieces..maybe I'll play with it tomorrow..head is telling me to go to bed..
Waving to all...
Hey Vrissy! So glad to see you posting, sure hope you get all your belongings soon!
Sorry to hear about Ann's nephew not doing well please let her know we're sending prayers!
will do LindaKay..
came downstairs to feed the furries and ended up sewing for awhile..
time for bed..
popped in for a peak before bed.....I can hear an owl :) sounds loverly....

Judy that snowflake is awesome!!! If you ever decide to sell them please let me know...I personally love the natural look!!

!!!
Susan...how is your work going?? sure hope that it will become a perm possition!!!
Crissy...bet it feels awesome to be a FREE woman again :)

Barb and Norm....always in my heart and in my prayers!!!
Hopefully today my swap buddy will receive her gift...am kinda worried because I have no tracking number....the postmaster said it should only take 2-3 days!!
Wishing you all a great day.
Hugs and love
Thea
squalls along Georgian Bay..1/4 of the trip wasn't quite sure where I was lol but, made it safely..tried the brakes a few times to see what kind of grip I'd get..happy camper I got the tires!
Debbie, wish I was on the beach walking with you..we'll have to take a roadtrip one day and do that now that you are a world traveller..
Could be the weather, heck it was 49 yesterday and 30 today..just wish they would go away..hard dealing with life on a daily basis when you are fighting them. Suzanne just looked at me, said I should have stayed home, sick at home or sick here, what is the difference. Am sure when I'm in the Florida sunshine all my aches/pains will disappear.
Ann and I were talking last night..right now Darlene is overwhelmed, wants to know exactly time we leave, when we will get there, what hotels lets kitties in the room, where will her mom be, should have been in a home for a few months that is geared to her needs re her hip, hasn't even dealt with her dad's dead and here we are soon to be 1st anniversary of Mike's death, poor thing..I'll not throw this to her today I'll wait closer to the time when we should be leaving..maybe it would be best if we spent Christmas day here so she could be with her mom and leave day after, our Boxing Day..she might feel better about going if we were to do that..would just mean I wouldn't be in Florida as long..still a few weeks away, am sure things will work out.
Personally Betty, I think you have a good idea for Darlene. We both know the holidays are "bears" after a loss and Christmas is especially horrible. Would have to work on our schedule to met but for now Darlene is to be considered. So much in such a very short time is overwhelming!!
Okay. all, the 'gators stay in the lake. It is just something you are aware of if you live near water in Florida. They can remove them but others will come..especially if there are any rivers, etc. near. We do look carefully when down near the water just incase one has come up on the bank. Thea, I also have the coons, skunks, bunnies and add otters, deer, falcons, eagles and the cursed armadillos for company. It is a natural habitat area where we live and unless they become "to friendly" they are okay. Mostly the benefits out weigh the animals.....I love seeing the lake in the early morning especially this time of year with all the leaves colored and wisp that look like smoke coming up. Yeap, I love it here.
Need to run, promised myself I could clean the floor to the utility room today.
Thea, is your package being delivered in CANADA?? hmm hmmm lol
I have oranges if you are in my area Betty, and Marion is a few hours away..either home or at her sisters...
tangerines are pretty good right now, ate a few the other day!!

as I was sewing last night I thought of you.....do you scrunch your shoulders at all when you sew?? I do, and when I sew a lot I have to keep telling myself to NOT do that. when I do it for a long time, I have a headache/shoulder ache afterwards. I think I want a new chair, or need to make a pad....butttttt sure got tired/ sore yesterday !!
yes, kind of do that Thunder..been, when sitting at my desk putting feet up on stool and pushing my shoulders intot he chair..seems to help..when I was at the quilt shop on Monday noticed they had a cushion, jelly & fibres meant for quilters..of course I was on my lunch hour and while there 3 different ladies that I know came in so had to gab, forgot to check the price as I was leaving..am sure they are expensive...
you never know, I do pass your neck of the woods while travelling I-75 and I do know where you live lol
let me know when you are coming and I will try to be home....
that me be part of your reason for headaches....
