Betty, you already had your three...Sailor girl counts as #1...so no more!!!

Mary, I got a cute little coffee pot. It is Mr. Coffee with "buttons" so DH is thrilled. BUT it has red on it and stainless....so we are both happy, and on sale!

The wind is blowing really bad, DH went downtown about 9:00 and he said it was a winter mix...rain with a touch of ice pellets, along with the wind. BUT not seen anything stick.

Thankfully Shannon is staying with Jeanna, or I would be up all night. She will text me when she gets there.

Can you take Zyrtec Mary? I get the generic brand, I think 60 pills for $10 compared to about $80 from actual....and it helps DS and I so so much. I take one at
bedtime, and it helps us both so much.

Well, I think I need to get to bed. My feet feel like ice cubes!!!

Debbie

Baton Rouge, LA

Hey Deb;

I'm taking Allegra-D, and Prevacid, and Pulmicort inhaler and Flonase spray.... I'd love to try zyrtec.. .maybe with the next round...
my coughing attacks have lessened so much I almost feel like a normal person again !

Woman on a Mission getting rid of dust in my life !

Stay safe and warm with your snow... we have a threat of freeze on Sunday but I'm thinking it is not gonna happen.
Where are you headed in FL !?

Hugs
Mary

Lyndonville, NY

I am heading to Bradenton/Sarasota area where I was born. Going to drive up to Venice where I grew up for a day or so also. AND I will spend as
much time as possible at the beach! My girlfriend I am staying with is just down the road from it!!

Sweet dreams and hugs,
Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

It's beginning to look like Christmas...

One thing about seeing the ground covered in white is I don't see the leaves..lol

Blowing but the snow is the pellet type and doesn't blow around. Kind of hoping some of the girls that are driving over this morning decide not to.. A day to do little would be so nice, plus, with Kyle having my car i wouldn't be able to go anywhere and would have to mellow out.

Thanks Debbie..you are right, Sailor did count as one, then there was Darlene's dad! Coffee pot sounds adorable, only thing missing on it is a chicken. Nice area you will be visiting, let's hooe the weather cooperates and you are able to sit in the sunshine..I'm looking forward to doing the same between Christmas and new years..

If you hear from Crissy Debbie Can you get her to dmail me her address, have to send her the workshop project.

Mary, when allergic to dust (if you are) it doesn't have to be inches of dust..feeling human is a good thing, you'll become the dusting queen..hope you don't get your freeze!

Speaking of dusting, time I go vacuum cutting room and dust!

Coffee sure taste good this morning

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, her address is in the address exchange, she changed it.

I think your family finally found a way to keep you tied down at home.....took your car!!!! hehehe I know Kyle needs it for work and such, but....it also keeps Mom put and to rest a bit more.

Going up int he attic today. Need to find some Christmas lights....a box of pictures....and who knows what else!

We did not get any snow last night. The wind is still howling, but no white stuff.

Coffee taste a bit strong, will take some adjusting to get it right. OH Betty! You can paint a chicken on the new coffee maker! Wouldn't Paul love that!!! haha

Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Thanks Debbie, didn't realize she changed it!

Girls called at 8:30 to say there was a bad accident on 400 and police told them likely an hour to get through it then another hour to get here..they will likely leave around 4pm, full day..won't get my car back until 6 or so, guess it does mean a stay at home kind of day..can see the roads are icy so just as well.

So just did some work I'm doing on a project for Julie, helped me get caught up..put away sewing machine, shouldn't have I guess, could have got more done..oh well, maybe it's meant to be that kind of day.

Did you find lights and photo's Debbie??

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone!
Coffee is ready, hot orange sweet rolls!
Ham bones are in the freezer for bean soup later. Turkey is just about gone, maybe one more sandwich...
I think Todd and I will go get our Christmas tree today, so I need to dig through the totes, and figure out what decorations I want to use this year.

Lyndonville, NY

Betty, we got caught up in a remodeling show. I just love Property Brothers, and they are from Canada. Send them here to fix my house!!!

I did find my sewing machine up there....I shouldn't have!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Debbie, you have lived in the north to long, we would say " down to Venice" from Bradenton/Sarasota. To bad I won't be going down during that time or I would attempt to met you. Venice is very close to where my mom is in the nursing home. I have an aunt who lives in Englewood also.

I can still see it.....Mary dusting with her mouse ears on. What a visual.

Betty, something needed to take place to "ground" you. Rest lady!!! I sure don't want to get together with you in December and have you all tired and sick.:-)

Not much going on here today, will put some more mulch around some of my plants as they are saying it will go down to 30 tonight. Time will tell. Later it is feet up and watching a football game. Seminole fans at this household.

Good Day....Sunshine...

Hope you all have a lovely weekend despite the weather.

Dianne, when you lose a post like that, try the "back" button. Many times the post is still there and can be sent on. It surely beats having to retype everything.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Good Morning - Sunshine here too!
Not much snow. Our parking pad is totally clear cuz Bob cleared it, and no more snow on it. Unfortunately, from the last 2 snow storms, the City didn't clear the streets in our park and they're rutted and slippery. Every time we get a Chinook (and we're in one now!! yaaaaaaay) it melts, then refreezes. I worry about those seniors who have to walk on it. In other years people have fallen and broken bones. Please keep those in your T&P that are walking on those treacherous spots. I'm ok, because when I leave my house it's because I'm driving.

Wavng 'hi'

Jean, sure wish my ipad had that button, it's so easy to lose posts..

Did you all leave me some goodies that I can spend my $$$ on next weekend or did you all get your christmas shopping done and there is nothing left.

Big football game here tomorrow, likely stores will be empty, likely a good time for shopping.

Wants to snow again but I'm hoping it will not until the girls get home.. 1 1/2 hr drive..my craft room is all cleaned up, want to take sewing machine and dresden top out to work on but no car, need batting..drats and more drats..

Could have a nap until Kyle gets here, maybe I'll have him drive me to Midland and we can have chinese and I can get some supplies..

lovely visit with the girls, hat pot luck, I got to keep almost a whole fruit cake..going to go make coffee, put feet up and enjoy. Seems we only get to meet up once or twice a year, they make the effort end of November so we can chat and catch up on what a happening.. this year, this want to come when Joyce will come and teach hypertufa mushrooms, already have their names down..lol

Betty, you don't have a pair of arrows next to the address line? Or it may be a separate function in your browser.

mulege, Mexico

My dogs have been decorating for Christmas. They disemboweled a large white bear (or was it a rabbit) to spread white "snow" all over the patio. Then they took a baag with two bottles of glitter (white and silver) off a table, got both bottles open and the contents scattered on the patio.

I just did some cleanup and hope they won't mind.

Got a little energy today. I may head for Ca. next week to get candy, etc for Christmas with the kids here and maybe see my doctor. Tony and I both have holiday "issues" so we take it easy. He can have a "your the boss" week or ten days here and I can have a mini vacatyion.

The watermelon plants which went in a month or six weeks ago have flowers on them!!!

Ausan, glad to hear of jobs for both you and your husband.

hugs, katie

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Katie - we're pretty "pumped"......... well, we're both being as laid back as we can be, but it will be nice to earn some $$ lol

btw - will email you re: pressies for the Christmas exchange.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Did it again Jean..iPad is very touchy, has something to do with where I put my finger on the left..drats..maybe I should press send before I write a novel.

Went into town after all, Kyle needed to pick up his jeep and I had shopping so off we went, he came with me then we picked up Kentucky fried chicken, as we were eating I said it was going to be an early night and shortly after said he was off home..I said I was going to sleep in tomorrow and he asked if that meant 6am. Lol
Guess he knows his grandma!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Omg Katie, you will have sparkles on everything for months to come..bet the furries could understand why you weren't in the Christmas spirit and appreciate their decorating. Once watermelon flowers won't be that long before you will have some to eat? Isn't that a long trip for you knowing you are still tired?

Susan, early night tonight..you'll have things to do tomorrow before you are back in the workforce. Is Toronto Mayor Ford going to have to pay out with 300lbs of food tomorrow?? Hope not.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Well, Mayor Ford would have to pay the most, as he weighs the most...... apparently Over 300 lbs.
I'll be interested in hearing the results win/lose, cuz it's a great bet! Mayor Ford has more to lose...... food-wise LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

Yes, he had quite a time of it a few months back, he and his brother, councillor Doug Ford went on a diet, Doug did well but mayor Ford did poorly.

Off to bed, tomorrow is another day!

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All;

Debbie I can't tell you how excited and happy I am that you get to see the Beach. It is my prozac and I think it will do you a world of good. Now for me to plan a trip LOL....
We'll actually head for just a few days before New Years to Dad's (near Marion) and now that I know how many shells I can pick up there I'll definitely be checking out the shore...(not the way I like to enjoy the beach but close)
Betty... Football game tomorrow? Does that mean soccor where you live ? Heavens that is the biggest GLUE gun I've ever seen !(In your pic) Love some KFC ! Sounds like Kyle knows his grandma...

Marion... didn't get the mickey ears on today but think I will try tomorrow... LOL....Go "noles!
LK Ham bone bean soup sounds delish ! Did you get tree up today ? Love those orange danish rolls !

Susan... Keep warm ! how scary about the slippery ice....
Katie I've mentioned before but if I sent you a box of Mardi Gras beads and stuff do you think the children would like them?

Prayers for Barb & Norm...

Love and HUGS
Mary

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No tree today, I went to the store, and they only had 12 trees out, and they looked like charley brown trees. We will wait to see what they get in the next few days.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Betty, those snowmen are so cute! What holds the pieces together?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

The Grey Cup is the biggest football game in the country....... sorta like your Rose Bowl without the parade lol
No, it's not soccer - you're thinking of England and Italy, etc.
Our football is just like yours. CFL vs NFL
We've played against each other..... 3 years ago there was a Canada/US game.

Morning everyone,

Coffee sure tastes good this morning, already for a 2nd, perhaps I'll change to timmies hot chocolate and add candy cane to it, side order of toast wouldn't hurt either, that and sour cream loaf, care to join me?

LindaKay, trees are out in the hundreds here, but of course out cold temps help keep them fresh.

As for the snowmen, kept together by wire which will be included in the kits..picked up a few rolls yesterday..I think I shall cut them by size and also drill holes for them today. What was nice with the girls doing the project yesterday is I know what extra's to include in the kits.

Mary, yep, Susan explained it well ..football played..hockey is prime sport but this year negotiations have been going on between organization and players and no games beeing played..think more individuals have taken up football to get excited about

With all this talk of Florida, am starting to get excited that I also will be able to pick seashells...what shall we make?

Am hoping to meet up with Marion at some point..sure hope so

cold morning out there, chilled, good day for staying inside and playing..

I've been putting pressies in bags, easier than wrapping, looks who is looking for the easy side of Christmas, sad isn't it, but bags are pretty..only two have to be wrapped, boxes wayyy too big! Bought over 30 bags and might run out..I'm ohh'ing and ahh'ing, lots bought since summer and thrown in the closet, forgot what treasures I had found.

My goal today is cut a few pairs of skates, 2 snowmen and quilt the Dresden plate table cloth so I can hand sew border tomorrow..if I get these things done I'll be dong happy dance!,

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

My Santa Warren present got mailed yesterday....Hope she likes what I sent. I'm going to open mine tomorrow night.....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone, coffee sounds good Betty, pass the Sour cream loaf please?
Can't wait to see what is in your box Barb! Sending prayers with guys tomorrow as you go for his test.

Victoria Harbour, ON

My Santa Warren pressie goes out tomorrow as well..

Always a time of excitement, waiting for pressies to arrive and see what each received and knowing each send out of love..

Victoria Harbour, ON

Ok, who sent this snow??

Lyndonville, NY

I have yet another turkey in the oven for round two.

My Santa pressie should go out by Wednesday

I have an upset stomach for last two days, just feel nauseated and am having ginger ale for breakfast.

Baton Rouge, LA

Hello To All !

Thank you Susan for the explanation... Yes I suppose if Hockey on strike folks gotta get excited about something...
Betty I've found that "my" beach area has little shells nowadays... have to go east towards Marion to find any.... How about make a wind chime out of shells?
Hubs and I usually bring them home and place around the backyard.

Never tried this before but found recipe on FB. I just put a ham in the crock pot with 1/2 c rootbeer brown sugar and mustard. Cook 6 hours....

We'll see what happens LOL... all this time I've had off... getting way too used to it... will be hard to go back to work. I took a vaca day tomorrow to hopefully get most of my Christmas shopping done....

Debbie - hope you feel better! It occurred to me the other day how many home remedies there are.... likely we could do away with pills if we followed what our Great Great Grands did for ailments !

Hugs
Mary

I finally got my afghan done! Took me about 5 weeks to do, it is about 5 X 6.

Thumbnail by taters55
Victoria Harbour, ON

Ahhhh it's a work of art LindaKay, will look lovely on display..lot of crochet..did your hand ache?? Mom called me twice last night, made me feel sad, this woman has done crochet all her life, if you remember, I had to sew blocks together was it last year to put 3 large afghans together?? Well she couldn't remember how to do a square..on her 2nd square I got out hook and kind of got frustrated, told her to do what I was telling her to do but she would go steps ahead of me had to say look what you are doing isn't working out, pull what you are doing out and we will go steep by step..called her this a.m.' said its off square, missed an area and d,isn't do 3 double crochet..sad isn't it to forget something you've done all your life. Didnt mention Buffalo this weekend. Ooops

Mary, sounds as though you are enjoying your time off, wonderful..how much time will you have off at Christmas..imagine, a month today and its Christmas ..

I'd best run into Midland, few things to do and if I so them I will be ahead of the game, Lordy ran out of Christmas bags..

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Some one left the deep freeze open last night...burrrrrrrrrr it is cold here today. Sun is shining brightly but definitely need a jacket to go outside. Love it!!

Ah but the coffee is good this morning, or is it afternoon, not sure.

LK, the afghan is beautiful and the work...wow!!! Kim decided last night she wants to learn to crochet. She has a book (she learns better that way I guess) and so she started......both had some good laughs but she did manage to learn some basic stitches. I finished up 2 camo scarves for my GDs to wear when they go hunting with daddy. They think they should dress like him so I decided to do these.....of course, finding camo thread helped. LOL

Thought about going into town but think I will wait until the madness subsides. Already had 2 people shot at a local Walmart..fighting over a parking space. Idiots!!!!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Happy belated Thanksgiving! I was thankful for all of YOU!

I got the rest of my Santa Warren present from Janice yesterday. It is so CUTE!! I'm not telling what it is until I can get a picture of it.

Getting ready to brine my turkey. Thursday was yummy and came home with a little leftovers but not nearly enough! Plus I promised Bill the oyster stuffing, so have to hold up that deal!

Great granddaughter had her 1st birthday party. Adilyn Rose is a doll baby. Had a pink tutu on and a onesie that had a big 1 on it. Too cute.

Thinking and praying for all of you!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm coming for the oyster dressing!!!

Lyndonville, NY

Never had oyster dressing, sounds good....might have to try that some time.

Turkey is taking its time today.....girls are on their way. Shannon is back at work, then thankfully off 3 days.

Betty, snow is falling here finally. Shannon said up in Amherst a couple inches on ground already.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Everyone is out shopping today..had the crosses engraved, yikes could have bought them each another pressie for what engraving costs but they did do a lovely job..am sure boys will appreciate them being personalized. Bought more bags and already used them up..feeling like I've Christmas under control..now I can relax (or nearly) lol

Debbie do you think it's the excitement of going away that is making you tummy squishy?? Still snowing here, let it come let is come if I can have a snow day tomorrow. Maybe the snow is what has everyone here out shopping.

Real estate company rented Galaxy Theatre and so families could atten a show free of charge, likely why it was that busy when I went, theatre right next door to the mall.

Joyce, you are a teaser..what do you mean that we have to wait to see your Christmas box..photo's, photo's and include some of Adilyn Rose..familiar name here in my neck of the woods..

Having lunch then off I go, break is over

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Dang....wish I could send pictures of Adi...but of course slow witted me forgot to take the camera, and although I did get one of her on my phone, I don't know how to get it off there and to here!

Okay, here is my new gift along with the previous part that came earlier....bet you're all jealous aren't you!?

Marion,,,get you butt up here, we'll share the stuffing and besides you need to see your (and Ross') tree!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Oops....got so excited about Marion coming I forgot to add the picture!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Well, CRAP!!!!
