OUCH Allison...another one of my friends sliced their finger with a new veggie peeler yesterday and another friend's 1 year old fell and hit his head on the hearth at her aunt's house 5 stitches later, poor baby
Time to give thanks for food!
Yikes Allison, those mandolins scare me! Hope it's better.
can keep this bandage on for a few days.. so it can start to heal.. it doesn't hurt now thank goodness.. sorry to hear about all the boo boo's Jen :(
Feel better - at least you didn't require an ER visit like me!
yes that would have been terrible .. would have been a "no soup for you" thanksgiving.. really have to be smart about these things with so many people coming over
another homemade Twinkie recipe
It sounds good I'm definitely going to try it

Any bread makers?
Do you let the yeast rise once then shape into loaves and rise again, or rise twice, then shape into loaves for a third rise?
I've seen it both ways, and maybe that's why I've had trouble from only rising once before shaping into loaves.
my bread machine lets it rise twice .. I think... never did it by hand other than pizza and I did it the same as you described .. rise twice and the third time after shaping
Have not made bread in years, but I think it's rise twice, then form into loaves....taking friends from assisted living out to lunch today......
Yes I've heard let it rise 2x
Pizza last night and pot roast currently in crock pot
I'll be down.....
Carnegie deli corned beef sandwich one of Dave's friends had fed exed to us.
LOL, Come on down
NICE, Deb
Oh, yum....I love NY deli corned beef sandwiches! Today I have a pot of beef barley kale soup cooking.....
We had 2 sandwiches, and so far have made 5 out of it and have enough left for at least one more. 2 of the 5 were pretty big too.
Supersized....I usually can only eat 1/2 a sandwich, take the other 1/2 home, & Suey ends up with it....
Yes, the Carnegie sandwiches are ludicrous. At least three times normal size.
Baked meatloaf for today with mashed potatoes, green beans, & yellow squash.....Mom was happy.
Fillet, brown rice, and asparagus.
Going out for my older guy's 14th (yikes!) birthday. Italian restaurant.
Happy Birthday!! They grow up too fast!
Thanks, Ronnie. Yes they do!
WOW! 14 already
Happy Birthday! If yours is 14 then Hunter will be soon too. UGH!
Oryanna will be 5 in a couple of weeks, boy has that gone by fast!
Happy b-day to your son!
Thanks. Yes, way too fast.
Happy birthday to the big guy...shaving, driver's license, dating....all on the horizon! Good luck!
Made a sirloin roast, mashed potatoes and cauliflower fritters. They were really good, kind of like a potato pancake. Chocolate sandwich cookies and banana bread to finish.
Those fritters do sound good
We had beef stroganoff, noodles, and green beans last night and ham steak, sweet potatoes and carrots tonight
meatloaf tonight. DS was home(his day off) and DD is home for the holidays(break from school)
Must look up a recipe for cauliflower fritters. Sounds good!
Oh, WOW, thank you! Must get some cauliflower tomorrow!
ooooo yum!
They sound wonderful....I've made fritter from zucchini, also good! Brother is taking me to a 4star restaurant for lunch today.....
The lunch was terrific....tofu tempura with filet beans, shitake mushrooms, leeks, & what I thought was salmon....I called the waitress over & asked why salmon was not listed on the menu as an ingredient....she laughed, said it was ginger....have never seen pink ginger, but it tasted like ginger! Everything was in a peanut lime sauce, & just delicious....then I had a dessert called banoffee pie....now I can only have an orange for dinner!
Fellowship dinner today...had roast pork......
pork roast in the oven
Is it weird? Made corned beef and cabbage today
