Christmas stocking swap, come and check it out!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

i watched criminal minds too.
thank y'all for the prayers
that story was beautiful, but made me cry.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I watched my eyelids. :-)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

You'd be in a warmer climate Sue. That's a nice thought, maybe we all could save for Hawai'i in 2020!! Lolol!! Not too old for viewing eye candy on the beaches of Waikiki!

Kel questioned one day why I'm always hooked on detective shows. Kinda shut him up when I told him that I'm getting ideas on how NOT to get caught!!

Afternoon sistahs. Walmart shoppers were congregating along the toys aisles this morning, must be the rush to get Christmas gifts on layaway. Any of you got your Christmas list started yet?

Marion, I presume you got some wise requests from CB and Abbi?
As for Sis Kathy's grandson.. Christmas is every day for him from Paw Paw.. right Sis?
This will be Dyan's first year to meet Santa, LK. I bet he'd be giggling away!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

kaden asks for 20 things every day. i need to say no, except i don't know what no means when it comes to him
sherrif just called to tell me my application for a conceled weapon permit has been approved, to come pick it up.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

No Christmas wish list here yet. I have asked for them, still waiting.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Books from Abbigail, Catie-Beth is still thinking. That is the scary part!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

so far i have gotten him walkie talkies, a magic set, and an electric train. he wants a cop hat, handcuffs, and a gun. got him a crane and car for the train-$35.00. the assesories(sp) are out rageous. he wants a real tractor like pa paws.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol Jaye - just looking for ideas, are you? Bet Kel's scared now, after your run-in with him at the restaurant the other day!!!

I'm just keeping my head above water on the quilting/sewing projects......

Snow expected to be 15 to 25 cm...... about 1 ft deep.
We'd gotten rid of all our other snow, and now it's baaaa-ack! It's the light fluffy stuff, but already there have been accidents.

Well, it's the 4th day of Bob not working - Boss said he'd pick him up today, but it's too snowy. Will continue tomorrow, so I expect no work again tomorrow. Bob was willing on Tues & Wed, but boss never got back to him about picking him up...... short pay this week...... (one week, instead of two)

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

my grandson will be awarded the good citizen award at the school pto meeting next tuesday nite. i am so proud

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

yaaaaaaaaaaay Good for him, and Congratulations!!

aawww how cute Jordankittyjo, he sounds sooos sweet.
Jaye LOL to funny. Tim likes them unsolved mystery shows on 20/20. I always tease him and say the same thing to him.
I used to like them shows and read books James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell. but i just can't do it anymore :(
only 3 hr work day for me. :(
monday will be our last day. :( i m ready but then i m not ?
Susan don't say the "S" word ssshhh my state may here you. Will be in the hgh 60's ths weekend ! wow.
Marion with Catie Beth still thinking it sure to mean she is got something BIG on her cute little mind. LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Congrats Kathy!

My ex DIL called earlier to tell me that Rory got all A's again, and is still on the honor roll! He told me he was stunned! LOL!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

ok Sue...... no "S" word, I promise ........ can I say "fluffy stuff"? lol

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Sue, Catie-Beth always comes up something....usually something she wants grandma to make. We are having dinner with her and her dad tomorrow night. Kim, her aunt, called to invite them and they quickly decided we would go to Genghis Grill, you know Kimmie, where they make the huge fire and ring the loud gong!! Yeap, just what I wanted to do...eat listening to a gong being pounded upon. LOL

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

It doesn't sound like a melodic gong, Marion?! As long as it's not right by your ear lol

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh my!! Marion, you'd probably will require a temp. hearing aid later! Lolol.. I can imagine your poor head too. I know I won't be eating much, but at least it's worth the sacrifice to watch the girls enjoying themselves.
I watched Noles trounced Va Tech!! Love it!!

Sis Kathy, you could have invested in Toys R Us!! How can you tell no to Kaden when he gives you that "please" look! Poor Michael, he might have to find him another job just for Christmas gifts! Wait till he's able to drive!!

Sue, you'd be soon finding something to keep you busy. And yes, I don't like the S word neither!
Since Sistah Judy introduced me to the People series by Kathleen Gear, I've been hooked. Mystery is limited to tv only.
This year, Tim will be able to help you with the twins' gifts, right?
Hope the list isn't pages long!

Sorry to read that the weather has curtailed Bob's working days, Susan.
Hope he soon will be back on the payroll.
We all need that steady paycheck.

That's proof that Rory is just a smart kid, if he's surprised that he's on the honor roll, LK.
I am always in awe of my little brother who gets As without even revising his schoolwork!
Sad part is he knows he is brilliant and keeps reminding us!! Lol!

Why am I up? I wish there's a way to relieve my cat's dilemna. He needs a wife and have been calling for a mate all night long!!

Would you all believe that I did the laundry, turn on the dishwasher and even baked a ham all this while?
In the meantime, Kel is oblivous to the house being awake!!

So good morning sistahs!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning Sis! Hope you get a nap in today!

Looks like I will have to bring in some plants before Monday, temps are supposed to drop to 37 Monday night! :( Sure hope they are wrong!

Gammill is having a contest, if they like the name you chose for their new "sit down" machine, you win it. Just like them on facebook, and enter a name for the machine.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

A balmy 36 here this morning. No, that is not a complaint......later for that.

We will definitely find seating away from the area where the big gong is located. We enjoy the food so it is worth putting up with the noise. Actually they mostly do it when children are there eating. Last time they showed CB how they cleaned the grill by putting oil on the surface and letting it flame up...must admit it was interesting......cleaning and her face. During the conversation last night, Kim asked CB what she was doing and the reply :" watching football, the cimanoles are playing you know". She still hasn't figured out (or realizes it is cute) that it is Seminoles. Jaye, I understand it was the last 40 seconds we won the game....right?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Yes Marion!! Can CB say "Hokies"? Cimanoles beat them Hokies at the very last minute 28-22!! You know your 'Noles is #3 in scoring offense. We need your O-coach!
As far as I know, your team is ranked at #8. Impressive.

Don't wait till Monday LK. Weathermen are so undependable. Thanks for that link. One of us better win!
I have the space for a longarm, but not the money now!

Seriously thinking of saving towards a Flynn. Used to be 90 when he first introduced it, now it's 150. Oh well.. compared to the thousands..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

What is a Flynn?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

That Gammill is something I will enter for....... not feeling particularly creative, but will see what I can do!!

Yes Jaye - would like a paycheque of some sort coming in.
Just going for blood tests (ordered by my new Dr)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Check this out LK

Susan, my 'net is having problems downloading the rest of Gammil's FB page. I can only 'like' it. Can't come up with a creative name neither!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning glas..

I use my Flynn..enjoy it
now if only I can find $$$ to step up to the next

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh, this is what Betty has, I watched the video, and it looks really easy to do!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Betty, Kel took a "test drive" on an APQS quilting machine at a quilt show one year. The cost forced him to put on his brakes!! Lol!!

So, LK, ain't it neat? Me think you'll get one!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Is easy and keeps the layers taunt..

yep you have to want to do a lot of quilts to justify purchasing one...even I who loves gadgets has to justify having one in the craft room..

did see another somewhere, using own machine, around 2K..not sure if I saved the site.

LindaKay, have the flat rate box filled with painting books, heavier than old heck, let's hope they accept it at the post office..won't be in Buffalo early enough to mail tonight but will do so tomorrow morning..

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I don't do enough quilting to warrant getting a quilting machine of any type, which is why Bob built me a quilting frame, which I haven't even used yet LOL

some pics of Jessica's garden Harvest Time theme
i m going to try and get a live christmas tree to plant . I will make decorations and ornaments for the birds ect... for each season.

Thanks for the heads up Betty, if it is under 70 pounds, you can fill that box and mail it, one flat rate box!
Love the garden Sue! I think a Christmas tree will be nice to decorate with the seasons.

Jaye, I wish I had the room for one, with me sewing on the small round kitchen table I don't think it would work. I may have to make room in the extra bedroom, and get a bigger table. It sure looks nice though.
Betty, if we were all closer, we could take turns sharing yours! ^_^

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hello Ladies,

I've been lurking, not a lot happening..................have riding my bike ^_^ but boy does my hand her. So all I can do is go around the parking lot about three times then have to stop. I haven't gone fast enough to shift into 2nd yet. Told Doug I need a place where I can ride straight for a long time, then I can try shifting. He took a video but I can't post it here. I don't talk about my bike or post pictures on FB because my mom does not know yet. I am waiting until I have my license, and can ride it to her house, which won't be until May or June............................baby steps, baby steps, lol.

My Angel Trumpet it LOADED with buds, and now the weather is turning cold, so I don't think it will get to bloom before it freezes here. We have gotten a lot of snow in the Sierras already and it's early, we usually don't get it until end of Nov.

Hi Cindy . love the trumpet. !
I m going to learn how to sew this winter. i have that expensive sewing machine and i have only used it twice . Shame on me. I have a few books that give s tep by step directions. So i will start with pot holders LOL guess what you all are getting for the holidays !

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Beautiful looking burg Cindy, I've never had many buds on mine at one time. I'm still having problems with something eating holes in the leaves.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Love your Dat, Cindy. Here, if it snows when it hasn't bloomed, then the snow goes away, and it will bloom lol but then.......that's Calgary for ya!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Hey Cindy, glad to hear your learning to ride your bike. Sorry your hands hurting so bad. Love those angel trumpets. Are they in the ground, or in pots?
Susan, angel trumpets are more tender than datura's, they are in the same family, but different.
Sue, so glad your going to learn how to,sew, YouTube has lots of video's to watch also.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

oh yeah..... daturas are moon flowers......

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

It's in the ground...still having trouble how to post a link so you can see me riding, lol. I just hope this sugery goes better than my right hand...but if it turns out I can't use the clutch we are looking at electric shifting but holy cow anywheres from $750 to $1200
