oooh Jean aren't they gorgeous!!! Lots has to do with weight of clothing, never bothered during summer as I wear those light garments, as soon as heavier is needed, problems start..also can never carry a purse because of weight and what am I doing, carrying bags of craft things for work, up to when I bought a sewing machine for here I was carrying it..my own worse enemy..

Judy said it best!! Self diagnosis is a waste of time and brain cells. We get older every year and things change quickly!!!!! I had no clue I had sleep apnea until I told the doctor how tired I was coupled with some other problems. Went through 2 sleep studies and guess what........huge difference in my life now.

Here are some yummy recipes for using up all that wonderful fall fruit harvest...Apples, Cranberries, Pears....

Oh Jean, just what I needed!! Looks so yummy. I have been using fruit in my salads lately instead of tomatoes....actually cheaper to buy fruit. That is really impossible for me to understand as Quincy has many large tomato fields surrounding it and the price at the market is through the roof!! We have gotten used to tart apples or pears with cranberries and Edamame nuts topped with balsamic vingarette.

We use grapes and apples in salads also.My DGS loves salads, so I cram as many fruits and veggies in them as I can get away with....grin. That caramel apple recipe looked so good I had to share.

I love dipping apples into caramel dip. SO SO good! Apples are all over up here right now, and so good!!

I wish the grapes last long enough to put into salads. DD loves grapes and every time I bring some home....well better she snack on those and not other things. I am exceeding thankful for a DIL who has encouraged her girls to eat fruit from very early on. Every time the girls come over the first thing they ask is what is in my fruit bowl. I buy somethings they don't get at home....ie: cherries when in season and the pears both of which they love.

I made a pear bread pudding with a pear/rum sauce a while back....got to say I like it much better than the regular recipe. Grapes are a staple on the shopping list and cherries, especially Bing are a big favorite here too.

Making my mouth water you gals..going to check the link Jean.

Wendy's here had a cranberry/fruit salad on their menu, just loved eating there, that was my entire meal but now there is no such thing..

Did buy some apples when we were in Meaford, only a few left after my making pies.

This morning threw out a bag of grapes/ some banana's, forgot to eat them before I headed to Frankenmuth.

Tim Hortons here has caramel bagel right night..yummy yummy in the tummy..here I thought I'd cut down on the sugar, ordered coffee with just milk then what do I do, order a carmel bagel, toasted, buttered with cream cheese..shaking my head!!!

Decided I must do something thins afternoon, went to Walmart and bought blue thread, maybe I'll try and get the front and back of an apron done..might have finished it had I remembered elastic

As Crissy is worried about Dave accessing DG wonder why she would put her new address on this site..perhaps all is settled and ok for him to see it..shrugging shoulders???

Thanks Debbie

No, she can't see him. Just waiting for her hearing in a couple weeks.

ahem........ had lung test, it's clear. Waiting for cardio app't on Nov 29th.
Otherwise, I'm being smart in that I'm taking my iron. I know from past history that I get anemic easily.........
I AM TAKING CARE OF MYSELF. Yes, I was yelling....... I am really taking care, and do love that you care enough to yell, so I'm not angry, just trying to say that I will not let my health go - I'm smarter than that......

It's been raining for seven hours or more. Sometimes hard, sometimes gentle. I've blocked the places that drip (or most f them). The dogs look puzzled. Hard to think of anything else but I made some banana bread. Kept me busy.

hugs, katie

Glad you are updated us Katie!!! Well you'll have treats should the power go out and you will be hungry..trying to imagine what kind of roof you must have that needs tending to so often..shingles?clay?

Love listening to rain hit the roof providing of course it's not a hurricane or posibility of damage to the roof.

Debbie, know about him not seeing her but she didn't want info on DG system because she thought he might have her access code and could obtain info from it..maybe I'm mistaken.

What a long day, usually take lunch at 2-3pm but took it at 12:30 today, seems like the afternoon will never end.

oh my.......... I didn't realize that Cindy may have thought Dave would access her DG site...... I know it may not be confirmed she thinks this, but the possibility is awful. I wondered why I never saw her on DG anymore........ I thought her connection wasn't that great.

OK Susan, glad your taking care...(I) Musta read something wrong. I'll be quiet then.

OMG, it so wonderful to SEE again!
Yep Debbie, I am minding the docs orders, lol one thing about me is, I'm too scared not to...lol, they gave me meds at 9:00, And that's what time I take my meds now...set my alarm clock and everything, Although i will ask if I can take them when i get up instead.
So, I made a follow up visit with my Dr. it's next week, I'll continue to monitor my BP at Walgreens.
Finally, my arm is calming down...I'm worried about what I can and can't eat, so got a book at the library/ 125 healthy low-Sodium & no Sodium Recipes...Should be fun to check em out!
While i was in Hospital, they took exrays of my chest and lungs too, everything seems to be good there...They checked my Blood, and the numbers were good...That was one of the main reason for check up in first place, Diebeties runs rampid in my family.. My blood pressure was 220/90 at the docs office! She wanted to send me by ambulance, But I wasn't having any syptoms, no headache, no dizziness, nothing. She took BP 4 times, 3 by machine and 1 manually...Well then took an ekg, didn't like something there, so wanted me to get a stress test and other tests...Since i don't have insurance i drove way to the other side of Chicago to the County Hospt..
Thanks To Moonie, for directions, lol...My navegator via cell phone, helped me find the place and kept my mind off the issue, I was SCARED!! They took more ekg's and thats why they took the Chest exray, The doc in ER, said it was ok and didn't warrent a stress test...At 3:45AM, she admitted me to keep me monitored on all!! From that point i was a lovely pin cusion, loaded with Blood thinners, needles longer than my fingers!!,..the IV, insert (just in case) I don't know how many viles of blood taken for tests, and then they decided i should have a flu shot...and the morning I left a phenmonia shot!! The entire time they kept taking BP, twice i thought my hands were going to explode!!! I entered the er at 6:30 on Tues night, didnt go home until get to leave until 4:30 P. M. Thurday....Took, my BP today at walgreens, twice! First reading 136/68 2nd 123/69 and that was just minutes apart..So much much better...We will invest in one of those monitors, so i can keep watch at home, but for now its just good to get in the car and drive, worry free...
Sorry to YELL at you, i was scared for you and when im scared, i yell., cant help it thats just how i am, my kids hate it too...
AND, Yes, I have CUT WAY down on my smoking...Like i tell everyone one step at a time, And i will enjoy the gift of another day, for which i am very grateful.

I'll be back in a little bit to tell you of my adventurous Train ride!!
