(HUGS)
Keep us in touch with what ya'll are up to !
Best/Worse/What did I learn today? Chat with friends..
Girls are sleeping soundly, imagine by now Lindakay has picked up Judy and heading this way..
Waving to all!
We are the motel room, having a cold one, see you in the morning! Room 278.
Glad you made it safely..
Wide awake, must be quiet!!
Morning everyone, Judy and I are up, getting dressed and ready to meet up with the ladies in about an hour!
Morning all
Drats, so excited grabbed the hot barrel of curling iron..4 fingers just a hurting!!
Put it on ice!
Betty, we are heading your way, please call my cell phone and let us know what room your in.
See you in a few!
Oh my, now the fun really begins!!! Pictures please.
Susan, glad your lungs are good and you have the appt to see a cardiologist. Hope they don't find anything except a big heart.
After killing the snake night before last, I killed a big scorpion last night. Showed it to Tony this morning and he was impressed.
Three dragonfruit plants have buds on them. I'm getting things ready to start seeds for tomatoes and other things. Better late than never. I have picked two lemon cucumbers off my one survivin plant. Lots of blossoms so I might get more. Yummy.
I talked to Tony about working on taming some of the dragonfruit plants on Monday. I also have figured out where I can put lots of seed starting things but first I have to do a lot of clearing. However, when I get my next burst of energy I know what to do. I have a couple of places to start seeds but they are small and in danger from cats and dogs.
I have one small velvet apple tree from the four seeds I got from my friend in Costa Rica. Several saacha incha beans are started and I have lots more seeds.
While not feeling like doing much I can go through my seeds and plants some in starter packs and others in new tire planters in the new garden.
I've been using my exercise bike every day and my knee is better. My right shoulder is still vulnerable to being reinjured so I have the brace on now.
Life is good. Sending big hugs to everyone. katie
Hi Katie. Good to hear your knee is progressing so well. Just try not to overdo it.
Susan....good you are getting things checked out....always better to be safe than sorry.
Waves to everyone....have a sweet weekend.
Well, we have had ourselves a weekend even if it has rained cats and dogs all day long. first this morning was a greeting by all at Cracker Barrel. It was good to see LK after a long time, and reconnect with Karen. This was her first gathering so other than me she hadn't met any of the others in person. LK picked up Judy in Grand Rapids after she came from Chicago by train. Joyce and Bertie came up from Ohio and last bsy not least, Betty with Ann.
We spent the morning after breakfast at Bonners the Christmas place.
Going to have cake...back later/
Just letting you all know we had a wonderful week end, despite the rain! We had a nice dinner at the Bavarian Inn, then went back to Betty's room and chatted for a bit, Judy and I are back in Gramd Rapids having a cold one! Judy makes a wonderful navigator watching the GPS directions for me.
Thanks so much for a wonderful week end Betty, Joyce, Janice, Karen, Judy, Ann & Bertie, so glad you could make the trip!

Geeze - if I still lived in Winnipeg, I could have joined you........ Grand Rapids is not that far from Winnipeg......
Glad you all having such a terrific time!
Betty - how are the burned fingers? Hope you put something on them...........
Disappointing sale at the church. Hardly anyone came, and we bought each other's goods...... but had a good lunch - homemade soup with turkey bones (Joan does it every year and it's so good!), coffee, bun & homemade pie - I had raisin pie.
Morning everyone! Still raining here, but not too cold!
Sorry to hear your turn out was not good Susan! But that soup sounds good!
We have had rain here and overcast for two days....so not much difference.
Safe travels home everyone, sounds like it was a good time.
Debbie
I can't wait to see some pictures!!! Sounds like all enjoyed themselves and what kinds of treasures were you able to find????
I'm sorry too Susan about your sale but soup really does sound good! Today is pot roast in our house. Cold and rainy here.
Lots of treasure at Bronners, so many ornaments and gifts, it would take you several days to go through the store! I bought myself a beautiful blue Jim Shore angel to go in my collection. Then I got 2 pounds of assorted fudge flavors from the fudge shop. Judy and I love the mint fudge! YUM!
LK, which angel...post picture please. Yeap, I collect Jim Shore angels and cats....love his works.
Sounds like everyone had fun and so wish I could have joined the group.
Hi everyone!!
Thank you, thank you from with my whole being for the prayers, arm wraps and good thoughts.
When I was in. Emergency, knowing you all were with me in spirit kept me going...was quite the experience I hope to never experience again. But I am so thankful to have decided to get routine checkup or yikes, who knows what...
Well,, enough of bad thinking, we are having a wonderful relaxing visit. Linda Kay is working on a crocheting an afghan for herself!! Yay, something for her.
we had the most wonderful day yesterday with Betty, Joyce, and Janice. For me it was so nice to see Ann came along with Betty and Bertie came along with Joyce, even Janice brought her pup, Pepper! What a beauty he is...It was wonderful to also meet Karen from, cubits and some sewing threads here...
We shopped, and walked around the very cool town of Frankenmuth, I loved it..probably could spend an entire week and not see everything...Oh, my gosh, talk about feeling so much love. Our friends arm wrapped me, and Linda is just as I have determined from talking on the phone! A true Angel, the only thing she has allowed me to do is be the navigator...haha, can you believe? Well kept my mind off the road,Well you know all our friends are Angels in my heart.
I have always wanted to meet Linda Kay, since the first gathering at BJ'S...And yep she is a gem, lots of fun and just as loving and caring of all that she comes in contact with...We were so happy she got to make this trip, to meet everyone...
Dad, is a sweetheart. he was able to say Good Morning Judy! And so sweet, He sang, you are my sunshine!! he enjoys singing a few songs, It was just lovely.
I plann to do some reading and catch up, although Linda Kay has filled me in on some...Keeping you all in good thoughts and always prayers for well being. Going to go have a bite to eat, lol we brought left overs from the restraunt...
Be back a little later.
So pleased you were all able to share a little joy and warmth together. Judy, glad you are getting to spend that nice quality time with LK and her family.....AND Betty and the other dear DG'ers on Saturday. Have a safe trip home everyone.
Yay for Judy relaxing, and yay for quality time spent with DG'ers and Cubit'ers!
Had a lovely service today, and after church had fellowship - a couple who share anniversary date with us brought a huge chocolate sheet cake and sent home some with me so Bob can enjoy too. He was over at another church sister's house, painting the wood on her mobile.
Also at fellowship I spoke to a couple about 10 years our junior who got married 2 weeks ago and brought their wedding pictures. Gaelic wedding, just like Bob's & mine. We know their piper (co-owner of the Highland Shoppe) and she has played bagpipes to the Queen!
Bob should be home soon, and will have lunch and share cake together......yummmmmy!
Hello all! Bertie and I are home safe and sound. We would have been home sooner, but an antique mall and homestead shops by-wayed us for a little bit! ;o) I now have part of Bertie's Christmas present and part of my girlfriends birthday present for next month.
We had soooo much fun. Well, you know how well we all get along on here, and it was just the same in person...I went around the table and gave everyone a hug AND a kiss from all of you! Did you feel the love coming back at you? Pictures will be along sometime, but not from me cause I have a humgo camera and I wasn't going to lug it from here to well, anywhere!!!
I bought a lovely bottle of chocolate raspberry wine since sounds horrible but was actually divine. Wouldn't you know with the rain and all the bags I had I had to drop a bag and of course it would be THAT one. Broken bag....I threatened getting on my knees and lapping it up, but well....it was raining and I thought maybe I'd catch a cold! LOL...any way, got lovely things at Frankenmuth. Got even lovlier things from LK and Betty, they are such loving, generous women! OH MY!!! I said we should make it an annual trip....we'll see...
Was great to meet Karen, she fit right in just like a glove, told her she should come join us here, not sure if she will, but she'd fit here, too! Of course seeing Ann and Janice again was great, too! My sweet lil injun didn't look like she felt very good, but she was a trooper and accepted her armwraps in good spirits! I think Betty and I may have been born in the same pod, but she got all the talent. The things she can do are amazing. But I'm happy to say that I've been hired to come and teach a mushroom class in Canada in May. Won't that be fun!?
Okay, need to give some attention to the hubby and the cats. Love you all!
Marion the angel I got is called angel of hope, she has a cloth blur skirt on her. She is just lovely!
Praying everyone got home OK, no bad weather in the way!
Tropical storm Paul is headed our way and looking to become a hurricane. katie

Oh, Katie...be safe. Hope that storm remains just a storm.
I hope Tropical storm Paul stays just that, a storm...... Please be safe, Katie - you and Tony's family too........
Katie, here is hoping you are safe and out of harms way! Is this the start of storm season for you?
Hang in there Katie...Hurricane season ends in 6 weeks...there have been a passle of storms in Atlantic, Pacific and Caribbean this year. Hope Paul dissapates before he makes landfall.

Thanks for the pictures, Betty.
Paul is now a hurricane and headed mostly for the western coast of the Baja. We may get some rain and wind. Or we may get hit. Hurricanes are hard to predict.
We'll go to town and stock up on chicken legs
Tony's due any minute. I need to get dressed.
hugs, katie
good morning Y'all great pics Betty !!! thank you I can "feel" the love.. ^_^
Thanks for posting the pictures Betty, we had so much fun! Betty, you need to post the pictures of Judy with our male friend, where they took the wig off!
rofl on the "male friend" Betty!! Thanks for sending all the hugs, vicariously!!
Katie - please, please, please take care with the hurricane!! I would guess you'll need to be off the computer during the worst of it....... we want you SAFE!
I wasn't quick enought with the camera, they had already put it back on him lol
Joyce, we didn't leave the area until 2:30pm..did a lot of shopping, hit the stores that Ann wanted to shop at, got to a mall 5 minutes before it opened, patiently paced until they did at 10:00 a.m. Ann was thrilled with her shopping as was I..
Treated myself to a few more gadgets at Joann's and fabric.
No sooner did I get home did I put the laser unit on..I'm just so excited for the time when Christmas totes come on and I put it on..on a dark night all you can see in the room is starts/snowflakes bursting open..so glad I treated myself to it AND should have listened to LindaKay, that rotating tree stand should have come home with me...me sad!!
Betty, could you maybe go back and edit the group pictures to add a list of names? So many are familiar but others are not . That would be so nice to connect the name to the face!!!
Thanks-Barb
Katie hope things are not bad where you are - take care.
Dianne - how are you doing dear friend. Is it today that is the last day for Santa signup? Can't wait to see who I get.
Thea should be home from Germany on Thursday so hope to hear from her soon too...
Sounds like all are busy busy so I'l get busy too. Need to make some more coloring book totes.
So funny, I was cutting fabric in the boardroom when Paul came in, he went to the safe and said 'somebody lost a scarf, ohhh no,not a scarf it's material' he says
Yep, must be mine lol
Hey Brb, how is Orm doing? When does he go for his next treatment?
