Well, DH just boiled my beta. So long Mambo #5...and grand flush salute. Trying to help and made water too hot....he died from immediate shock.

I seem to be having a day with little or no activity - of my brain or anything else. It's very hot. I've cooked a 20 k. box of chicken legs. The dogs are all looking hopeful.

I've gathered together a few more craft items so we'll be able to get back to work tomorrow. I've found some things for solar lights as well as the humminbird feeders. Now all I need is some energy.

Barb, I didn't get upset about the fish....but DH feels bad. Told him he did a Bonnie, my mom killed several that way by either way too cold water.....or HOT.

Julie's young sister was raped, badly beaten and left for dead..family comforting much in need..

Then Melanie's girlfriend from work lost her only child, son 19 car accident..only been 6 months since her husband died..she is now all alone..

Darlene came for supper..was nice having her here but she seemed so alone.

OMG Betty - when will it end? You, your family and your friends have had a horrible year. I'm so sorry for all that has happened. Please let all know that they are ALL in my prayers and that the prayers will continue. I am glad that Darlene came to your home yesterday. Even if she seemed alone, she knew she was with people who were understanding and that means so much... Hope today is the start of so much healing...

Morning all, going to be a somewhat lazy day, damp,cool temps, real fall day!

Greg is on his way, going to install a spotlights so I can see doing down steps early morning/late night, take down the heavy stained glass piece so I can finish closing in last side of the back deck (then it can snow). Lol

Top has to come off gazebo but likely as Greg is on his way to do some welding on Kyle's jeep he will come another day. At same time he saw the plexiglass I bought for templates..told me he would take the 1/2 10" hexagon template and the large giant Dresden plate with him and cut some out..Barb, or anyone else, if you would like a set I can mail them to you..LindaKay I will hand deliver. Lol. Ohhh time is a passing, soon we will be meeting up.

Off to vacuum, do my hair, check to see if Canadian tire is open, if so I'll drive in and bring back that leaf unit I bought..more work than raking..would be great if you had a few trees and small yard but a no go for me.

I'm so happy bout that! I made the Kahlua Choc. cake last night. Have all the pieces cut and will wrap today to bring with us. We'll be eating in honor of you, Marion!!!

Yes, Mary...30's. Actually last night we had our first frost. I had covered my two brugs that are still in the ground. I so want them to bloom this year. The pods are about 4 inches long. Do you think they'll make it? No telling when we'll have out first freeze.

The gardens are slowly fading. Drats...hate this time of year. Still need to triple phosphate the rest of my hydrangea and think I'll try a bit on my hostas this year, too.

Betty, love all the pictures. The runner with the stacked presents is absolutely adorable. Wish I had the talent you have in your little finger!

Well if I can't be with the group in person, I guess my cake is the next best thing. I miss seeing everyone.....has been way to long! 63 here this morning and loving it! Of course it will warm up as the day progresses but that is Florida for you.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Just off to join a neighbour down the road for a Thanksgiving lunch. Her son is home from TO and he used t work for me all through his HS years. They had a huge family gathering yesterday but that is just too much for me to handle this yeaar. Sometimes even when I am with friends the occasion becomes overwhelming without my guy and I can't stay. These friends today understand and won't get upset or angry if that occurs. Looking forward to having some turkey!

How wonderful for Darlene to join you Betty yesterday. It must have been so difficult for her to do it even though she knows and loves you so much. Sending positive thoughts and prayers to Julie's sister and her family.

Marion, IF things go according to plan we would leave the Friday before Christmas and I would stay 2 weeks..now with her mothers injury and dad's death things could change although Darlene mom says she must go..still 2 months away so we shall see and yet, somewhere,someow. Lol

Dianne, know and understand just how hard it is to be with family/friends during special occasions, all the memories, traditions come to the surface and feeling overwhelmed..even to this day, after all these years for a few minutes during the day I go back in time and feel the pain. Wish you lived closer, Lordy lots of food to share..enjoy the afternoon with friends!!

Well, I've had a bad couple of weeks emotionally...
Included were some words with DH!! Not too cool, seeing as he thinks i don't do too much besides play on tablet, read books or craft oh yeah and watch TV. I know he is just under a lot of pressure but it hurts like you know what, after all that i have been trying to accomplish around here, which he does see too. Shake my head.
OMG, I even told him to come on the threads and see Just how much I've posted, hardly any, and hello again the quilts were for (his) our friend, which I paid for all the extra material batting, etc!!!

Well i must have proven my point because this morning i awoke to a printed round trip ticket to Grand Rapids!!
So, yay I will be joining you...lol now to come up with spending money. Sometimes i just hate having our own business...Always waiting on payments sure gets pretty old!!
This is another pretty emotional week, sorry to not be able to come on but, I have to work this out. I had a pretty major breakdown end of last week and again Friday and Saturday. The only thing, holding me together is this trip!
I can't wait to see you all.

Ohhh Judy, you need some tender loving care..we'll all be there to give you some..I sure hate hearing you are having issues re stress, shoulders out, head high and say, nope, not going to get me down, I'm a speacial person, I'm Jude Babe, a woman who is loved for who she is..I'm strong, I'm capable and I'm going to worry about fixing me and not the entire world for awhile. Can't believe Steve would think such a thing...stress about the house I'm sure, still no reason for be unfeeling.

Last night I showed Greg the piece of plexi glass I bought, he thought it was too flimsy..asked why I needed it, told him today/this week I wanted to cut themplates of the giant Dresden Plate and the 10" 1/2 hexagon temples, just came in, said they would be back for supper seeing I could feed yet another army and he'd do the light fixture..

but..the nice thing he did was bring me templates, few more to come, said he forgot them on his desk. Day off but he went in to do some welding on Kyles Jeep and do my templates..I must have done something right, good boys!

Oh, thank Greg for cutting that plexi glass, that was so nice of him. Betty, if you have room, bring that air mattress, just in case someone needs it. I had a heck of a time, finding a motel with rooms available, and harder yet to have one with two beds. I finally found one at best western, and according to the map, they are in the same parking lot. Judy, Dad and I will drive in Friday night after I pick her up at Amtrak, and drive over to Frankenmuth, we should be there about midnight or so. Get up early Saturday, and meet you for breakfast at the cracker barrel.
Judy, so sorry you're having so many problems at home, you need to get away and come and get lots of armwraps from all of us!
Dianne, so glad to hear you had your turkey dinner. Katie, glad to hear you are feeling better, just keep moving that knee, but don't over do it!

Home after a very low keyed Thansgiving lunch. I love turkey!!! Felt quite at home with the people I was with so enjoyed ethe event.

Betty I have seen nothing on the news or in the Toronto Stars this weekend mentionng Julie's sister. I do so hope they can keep it that way - that poor gal and her loved ones have beeen put through too much already.

I will send you a set..the 10" 1/2 hexagon did the tree runner, took about 1/2 hour to sew it up..if I don't post this week I'll mail from states on Saturday.

Noah just left, long weekends are hard on them, he slept most of the afternoon.

Got everything and more done this past weekend. Always feel better knowing I accomplished something! Back deck is closed in, most of lawn furniture/garden art put awa, 6 Christmas runners behind me, templates made and new light system connected. Can't ask for better than that.

Greg and I are watching last episode of Mash then I'll pack him a care package, can use turkey/ham/rolls for his lunch.

Think I've decided to take Friday off although we'll still not be able to leave early for Frankenmuth as Ann is meeting up with a friend who will be leaving to spend winter in Texas and she would lke to meet up with her so unless things change we shall leave around noon or one.

Hope our Canadian gals had a great Thanksgiving, that you all enjoyed you Columbus Day celebrations..will call it a day..

I will send you one Thunder..Greg has a few more at work. I'll. Taking them to work tomorrow, will Pick up a permanent marker and mark all the sizes.

Neighbor Dana and her husband Tom and their dogs, including my friend Amiga, may be here next week from Washington State.

Tony and I did major clean-up of the patio. Lots of mosquitoes there since the rain; there was lots to clean up. We got most of it done so tomorrow we will work on feeders and planters and lights again.

I'm feeling much better today though I'm worn out now.

I've read all but just still worn out. MIL still in hospital... they don't want to take chances with 1 kidney and make sure the infection is 100% gone. We visited with her yesterday and Hubs went by today... I might try to go by tomorrow
