Best/Worse/What did I learn today?visit with friends

Judy, what I wouldn't give to be able to take a tram and at those prices I'd be all over the country..lol

Will keep Honee in my prayers..let's hopefully surgery goes without a hitch

Girl, your house will be spotless if you keep this cleaning up..purge/purge/purge..got a kick out of you saying that if it's on the floor out it goes to Salvation Army, do you think it will work..bet you've come up with that one once or twice.

yesterday while having lunch I brought up Christmas..have Kyle and Noah done but not Caleb nor Braedon..Braedon had no thoughts, said he had everything he needs but Caleb who is a card said what he wants is the robot vacuum, he said it's name but I forget, said it would save him loads of work and if it was within my Christmas budget could he have one lol kids, you just don't know how they come up with things..lol Look forward to your photo's Judy

Jean, likely just something I thought of or read of early in the day, hate having bad dreams!
Is sad indeed about NOLA's newspaper, I imagine shut ins or some who don't have computers will really miss having them to read every day..

Here are a few photo's of the boys

...message to follow.

Yay all five uploaded!

I have to back up a bit on the visits!
You may guess this is Baby Brynn. Brian And Brittany's baby girl.
They popped in for a visit a couple of weeks ago! This was the perfect incentive to finish the quilt!
Which as you can see turned into 2, lol. Baby just loved the RWB one...Rolled right over and went for the heart, then the teddy bear.

My next picture post I want to show you my work of Art!!

Looking at that little one and the piece of art you created for her as a memory quilt has brought tears to my eyes Judy..a father she will never know but through you, her mom and Steve..

hugs my friend for a job well done

Oh man, I deleted the picture! Anyway a big part of the hold up in finishing this was because of the pictures...*(&&)darn computer! So as you can see i did have pictures, but they faded in the wash, I cried! But the real work of art...When they came, I asked Brit if she would like babies name on it. Her answer was Whatever you want to do. It's awesome! I have always thought to put it on too, just nothing was clicking on where and how. I kept thinking it had to something apart of Brian...With the pictures I wanted it to be something else, as well. The morning following their visit, I awoke wishing I had something with his signature on it. Then Bells and whistles went off, Duhh, he was an employee!! Hot diggity!! Found the paper I was looking for in minutes...So I enlarged it to what I wanted then copied it a couple more times. I morphed Brian J Hill into Bynn J Hill !! It was so much fun, I felt like I was at work...I kept thinking all those years of piecing, if it were just to do this, I succeeded!
Then embroidered (stem stitch) I cried again, Can't get any more personal then her name in his handwriting...

So i was cheering away at myself for F i n i s h i n g a project! lol.

Thank you so much Betty...she (they) just loved it.

Well Judy, you certainly DID outdo yourself..how creative you were

Bet through the years as she grows up she will have a special bond with you knowing you made her this from the heart and not easy working with someone you cared for's belongings..felt funny all the way through working with Mike's clothes..just this minute finished the border, project fini..

It's lunch time, not hungry and I still have my bagel/cheese from this am so think I'll go down to the grocery store and get all I need for spaghetti

Darlene told me tomorrow morning she will bring all of Mike's snowmobile suits/equipment incase Greg/Kyle or someone who be less fortunate to have 2 helmets, dickie I made for Mike, gloves/a floater suit and a snowmobile suit out of good leather so that being said Greg will come over after work to pick everything up..might as well seeing Melanie is on afternoons to cook spaghetti for supper, will make things easier if I pick it up here...

~~~ Hi All...just read it all.....now I don't have time to post!!! LOL...really, so good to see you all, I had smiles, Laughs outloud, and some booboo faces with all that I read. So I'm happy, touched, and sad for all of your posts, Ladies....
Am trying to get the garden in shape. Still had (and have) things to plant that have been in pots. Sue came on Saturday with the twins and we went to the Dayton Oktoberfest at the Art Museum. She'd had a couple bad days and needed the time away and with friends so that's what we did. Food was expensive, especially the drinks, but it's always fun to people watch at stuff like that.
Today is chilly here. We've been in the 30's the last two nights. I brought two of my ferns to the porch and the other two I covered with sheets. Just not ready to haul them inside yet!!!!
Kitties are really starting to put on a show. They bounce off the walls and furniture. Won't be long now...... :o(
Hope you're all feeling well!
Hugs!
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
30's? omgoodness, Joyce........ that's colder than we have it here........!
Just home from cleaning at the church......it's our Fall Supper on Saturday, so we want it spic and span.
Time for lunch (1:30pm) and I'm hungry....chat later.
Touching base....
Talked to Crissy, she is OK, regrouping and "onward". She has a new part time job and is looking forward to that....starts today. She will have
better hours and more time to herself than what she was doing "part time". Said she can read d-mail so if you need her or want to send message....do it
to her dmail. She can't access the thread to read as easy.
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Goodness Judy, those quilts are amazing, and what a special touch to put her name in his handwriting! Great idea! That little girls is so pretty! Looks like she really loves her new quilt!
Betty, sounds like you had a fun and busy week-end. Bet your glad you have the quilt done too!
I had a wonderful time with my Granddaughter, I took her shopping, then we went to Red Lobster for sinner. She wanted to try someone else's lobster, but no one wanted to pay the $29.00 for a lobster tail, so she settled on snow crab. She really liked that, and we all had fun watching her learn to crack the crab legs open to get the meat!
Ahhh, that's so cute..wow, talk about expensive!!!
Did you end up purchasing the little critter lol
time for home..ragged 30 blocks this afternoon for Suzanne, bought and downloaded a Thanksgiving pattern, have fabric already cut into squares, that would just work perfec. If I get home and still have energy just might set the design out and sew
I stayed up late putting this together. An estimated 8000 people gathered for the unveiling of the Rocky Marciano statue. Boxing had a fun day.
Nice work Andy! Great pics and presentation. Lots of great memories I am sure.
Debbie
Just picked some of my sweet papayas to use in a smoothie and got bitten by some nasty bug. A scorpion about 8 inches long crawled out from under some shelvves in my bedroom last night. I stepped on it but it got away. I sprayed a lot of Raid and haven't seen it since. Yuk.
Lots of pain today. I've been pulling together possibliities for quilts. Don't want to start anything while I'm mostly brain dead. So I clean and sort. And nap.
No Tony today. I'll call tomorrow if I don't hear from him. Someone must be sick. I trust him so I'll wait to call. He has both his parents living with his family, plus his adult son, his wife and child. He was able to finish the new room for his parents; hope they are OK.
Beautiful baby quilts.
Knee better. Right shoulder sore.
hugs, katie
Hello To All !
Susan - what a wonderful idea !
Jean - I'm with you on that sister... I do love to turn a page. IPAD now since Christmas and never read a book on it yet....
OMG Judy- almost cried at that quilt... what a work of love ! Yes - I did a Salad Bar too the kids seemed to like to make their own. Easy to cut veggies up then just serve in their Tupperware containers....
BETTY Love the pics.... Braedon is older than Kyle? or no... What a fun place!
Sorry so short... I'll check in later. Stil reeling over witchy poo - she really unleashed on me today. It's been a while too...
HUGS
Mary
Victoria Harbour, ON
Ohh Andy, thanks for dropping in with your presentation. Great job..didnt realize just how big he was until yu see the people gathered round him. Lordy, lots of celebrities in your neck of the woods. Really enjoyed it!
Drats Mary, thought witchy poo had moved past her bad attitude..shaking my head, there are better ways to motivate people without harassment. Sending hugs
It's Kyle 16 then Braedon 15' then Noah 14 and last but not least is Caleb 12 both Kyle and Braedon will have birthdays in the next few months.
Thanks Debbie will also dmail Crissy
Katie, sometimes planning quilts is as much fun as actually sewing them. Let's hope all is well with Tony and his family..you are in pain today likely because of driving so far too soon..sometimes we think we feel stronger than we are..
Joyce, you are one busy lady..can't wait to meet up with you
Stayed up later than normal hoping by doing so I'd sleep better tonight. Cleaned out set of cupboards, Made spaghetti sauce, worked on my Dresden plate piece, have it all together, now to decide what it will be lol so have been very productive .
Will take me a good hour to clean my many messes in the morning as the girls come to paint.
Off to bed, will say prayers for Norm and Barb
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria
Are you going through a difficult time today? Let me challenge you: don’t use your words to describe your situation, use your words to change your situation! All through the day you should go around saying, “I have the favor of God. I can do all things through Christ. I am blessed. I’m strong. I’m healthy.” When you speak like that, you are blessing your life. You are speaking favor into your future.
When you get up in the morning, if you aren’t feeling up to par, don’t set the tone of the day by speaking it. Don’t ever say, “This is going to be a lousy day. I don’t want to go to work. I’m tired of dealing with these children.” No, get up and say, “This is going to be a great day. I’m excited about my future. Something good is going to happen to me.”
Always remember, send your words out in the direction you want your life to go. Let His Word always be on your mouth. His Word will never return void. It will accomplish what it was set forth to do. So set forth His Word and move forward in blessing and victory all the days of your life!
A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, today I send forth Your Word. I declare blessing, favor and victory over my life. I choose to set the tone for the day in peace, joy and victory today and every day in Jesus’ name. Amen.
So we thank you Lord for healing our friend Norm..
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
Holding you and Norm in my heart, Barb..... hoping to hear good news today
Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)
Prayers from me, too, Barb....asking for God's loving arms to be wrapped around you both.
Morning! Chilly here this morning...59. Brrrrr. Sat on the swing for a bit after my walk around. Moxie joined me today. It's usually Bella. Won't be long until it's too cold to sit there. I'll be sad.
Have a Rotary friends luncheon at Red Lobster at noon. Have a mess in the kitchen to clean before I head that way so I must be off....I know, I know....I'm always off! :O)
Victoria Harbour, ON
That you are Joyce
Going to get one of those wrist bands you put on a child and on the adult with the coil, that way when we meet up in Frankenmuth you've have to relax and not get any further from me than 3 ft.
No sitting outside for me either..if it weren't for having company (dear old friend) spending the weekend with me and our travels to Meaford for the Applefest, Candle Factory tent sale (which has everything under the sun and not just candles) and the Discount Factory I think I would have had all mine away, not to be but the next weekend is our Thanksgiving, all the boys, big and small, will have a chore!!
Enjoy your luncheon
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Andy proposed to Heather last night and she SAID yes!!! They are so excited! No date set yet, maybe next year some time?
Victoria Harbour, ON
OMG LindaKay that's fantastic..now you have a wedding to look forward to
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Looking forward to it!
Victoria Harbour, ON
Are you taken with her..nothing worse than having a DIL you aren't fond of
Trying to talk Melody into coming to Frankenmuth..not sure she will seeing as she and Greg were away all of this past weekend. They all lead such busy lives but then they say it's me lol
TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)
congratulations, Andy & Heather!!
(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
Yes Betty, we get along really well!
Verona, ON
Waiting to see if Barb will post. I am sure both she and Norm are both exhausted physically and emotionally tonight. Sending positive thoughts their way.
~~~~ to everyone.
Dianne

mulege, Mexico

Also sending prayers to Barb and Norm. Also to Tony and family. He did not come today. Phones aren't working and I've been in too much pain to try to travel.

It's cloudy here and a bit cooler. We may get some rain. No hurricane warnings.

I managed ten minutes on my exercise bike in spite of the pain. I think it helped to keep things from tightening up more.

hugs, katie

Baton Rouge, LA

Thoughts and Prayers with you Barb and Norm !

Oh LK - Congrats ! Can't wait for DS to get his act together and then marry his sweetheart. I love her to pieces.... (above is definitely a lengthy process though with the 'act' together thing LOL)

Dianne - so glad to see you ! What is Diesel up to ?

(hugs) Betty - she almost apologized to me today... too funny ! Braedon and Kyle do look close in age I could not remember....

Will pop back in a bit...
Mary
