Hi... whew, I gotta take a break!!

OMG, Betty, as soon as I can, a "book" will be in order, eh? LOLO, been a long time.

I've been trying to keep up with you all...So sorry to not be around...You know me, If i get on this computer to play, I'm done for any real work getting done. I do miss you all Trust me, I'm delightfully over whelmed with all the changes going on here. Between school and Business inter-tangled with my normal humdrum house stuff and our travels back and forth to the Cottage, I/We have been just non stop busy, today alone, I did a Proposal, it was a Dooozzyy!! Took the entire day, just finished and I am not really done, have to wait for corrections and such, heavy sigh, it has to be done tonight...Crossing fingers this project gets booked!

For all of you traveling, Be safe, have a great time!!

Barbara, I'm so sorry to have missed your Birthday, I hope it was just a wonderfully Loving day, You deserve it. Sending you Big Armwraps...eh, hemm...singing Happy Belated Birthday to you you!!

Big arm waives right back at you Moonbeam! what a lovely U-tube...
I have too been in thoughts of many who are with me in Spirit. This time of years is bittersweet for me as well.
Carols Birthday was on the 7th. I have to tell you I enjoyed the day just doing the things I normally would have done with her...Watched a movie, had a Brownie played with my lil house, ohwah, got the roof shingles cut, loving it...And, I think it was Betty, who talked of late blooming surprises, I can tell ya, it is so true...My Garden Party Roses are finally about to pop!! Thought it was a goner, but I've held out hope for all it's splender. Buds appeared just before Carol Bears Birthday, still waiting for the blooms. But I am always nicely surprised with a late Daisy bloom, ha hands on the hips...so far none.

Wanted to pop in to say Hi!! Got to get something to eat and make whatever corrections....Ewww, never mind that! It don't smell right. lol I am not eating it, patoooey, roflol. leftovers for us.

Sending Gentle Armwraps for for all of you healing, sending prayers you to feel better soon.

Love You all and i'll be back soon! Going to MAKE the time.
P.S. Loved to see all the post of projects getting done...nice pictures...Susan, you be careful!!

Was also wonderful to see Katie Posted, and Shirley!! (I know, awhile back)

See you on the Morrow, sleep well and have a great day.

Happy Birthday Dear Marion.... Happy Birthday to you ! ♪♫♪♫♪♫♪♫

Debbie - yes wonder if you could knock a wall or 2 out... but then maybe just knock the kids all out and you and Paul get a smaller place... less trouble to keep up ? LOL....
Oh Dianne... Yes the minute they say you 'can't do something you realize how much you want to... hope you are feeling better sister !
Can't imagine a better way to remember and honor Santa Warren than to do the swap....

Susan - those are Hurricane Isaac force winds !

Betty - Model A meeting is second Monday every month. Wow just around the corner the Boys Trip ! Are you wondering always if this will be the last ? I say that with the kids... like this last vaca to Disney.

Hugs
Mary

The problem is...Paul has to drive a full hour to work....at 4:30 a.m. And then back again anytime between 3:00 and 7:00...depending if he gets stuck OT.
And in the winter, it is worse. He has been doing it for 20 years...so our kids could live in the country and not have to deal with Rochester public schools or big
city ones up that way. I don't work outside the home...so it is only fair I meet him on this. We are looking for a three bedroom so when kids are home or
come to visit....we have some room.

I'm no longer going up on the roof. My cousin and her DH are here, on the roof with Bob.
It's a "small" thing, but I had a shrub I'd brought from Winnipeg (couldn't find it here......) and it was planted well away from the trailer. HOWEVER...... Cher managed to drop some shingles on it, and it's broken. It took 5 years to grow 3 branches from the ground up...... about 2ft tall. She said "yeah, Bob said you'd be unhappy, but it'll grow back!"
Not happy......
Anyway, it's getting dark, and they're still up there, but the shingles and tar paper are off.
I'm really glad they're here helping. I just don't feel like helping tho...... maybe I'm being lazy, but I don't really care

Morning all, what is with this no sleeping?? I haven't had a full night's sleep in what seems forever, shaking my head.

Judy, you are right, a novel is soon in order. You have indeed been busy. When you say proposal do you mean a 'bid' for another job for Steve? How did the rental of the cottage go, no damage I hope.you mentioned new computer, did you get one?

Mary, am sure this will be the last of th trips where the 4 boys can be together but doesn't mean I can't take them on a one on one trip.

Debbie, that means you would be moving further away from me..frown!

Susan, they are the cousins you never see? How did that come about? Drry to hear about your tree, sentimental dor you, you can be upset..

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

yes Betty - these are the cousins I never see.......... unless they're "offloading" stuff.
Cher has been emailing me regularly, and I think she's been telling Rod "they're family"! I'm sure he sees the "duty" in this, and besides, she's quite the strong person and has probably just been taking her time about getting him past the reason he's been upset with us.
As for the bush..... it's one that I had the same of in Winnipeg (I'd never seen one before, and had it in my front yard of my house - Indigo bush. I had it blooming in Winnipeg, but it wasn't big enough to bloom here yet.
Now I won't know the damage until I get the shingles cleared away. Bob's gone to work (the shrub is between the deck fence and the back of where he parks), so that's one thing I can do this am.......

yes it is, and it attracts bees. Very handy in your garden!! Mine hasn't had a chance to bloom yet.

I ask because I also have Indigofera, but mine is Indigofera tinctoris, the pink blooming indigo. I believe you have Amorpha Fruticosa (see link below) and seeds for it can be purchased at GardensNorth.

Yes, I know Jean.......
As I have the shrub, I'm hoping it wasn't too damaged.
As the mobile park I'm in is moving in a couple years, here's no point in planting seeds. I don't have enough room in our trailer to grow any shrubs. It took 3-4 years to get to 2 ft tall as it is......

You can also do hardwood and softwood cuttings, which would only have to be overwintered inside this winter.

Hi Everyone, Recovery from surgery continues. Had an hour of physical therapy yesterday and I was wiped out all afternoon (couldn't even read mushc) then slept twelve hours!! I'm doing well on bending, not so well on extending., Need to get a weight at Walmart and keep at it for another week, then head for home. I see the doctor for my one-month check up tomorrow. I expect that will go well.

The hospital kitchen people were delighted with my vegatable flowers. I was glad I made the effort even though I walked about six blocks without my cane and it was something of a setback for my recovery on a physical level. But the delight from the woman who really never expected to see me again, let alone with an arrangement of vegetable flowers with lift my spirits forever.

Recovery is still taking up most of my head space. I need to do it now or risk never getting full function back so I'm somewhat single-minded. The other day I talked with a woman who had her surgery two months ago and is not doing well in physical therapy - they are threatening to redo the surgery. Made me that much more motivated.

Back to extending.

big hugs all around, katie

Glad to hear your recovery is going well Katie! If you can, sit on the sofa, or a chair, and put a foot stool in front of you, and put your leg on that, and just let it stretch out! Keep up the good work, you can do it!
