Congratulations Auntie!
Coffee Break # 83
congrats allison
Sophia is a doll....looks older then newborn.....how nice to have a new babydoll......my Mom's surgery went well today....my sister is with her now, & I'm headed to see her ...then my sister will come back & spend the night with her....
glad that the surgery went well.
Welcome to the world of gardening, Sophia.
mom is lucky to have you guys RD
Beautiful, Allison! Congrats!
Unbelievable.
"James Holmes, the accused gunman in last Friday's midnight movie massacre in Colorado, mailed a notebook "full of details about how he was going to kill people" to a University of Colorado psychiatrist before the attack, but the parcel sat unopened in a mailroom for as long as a week before its discovery Monday..."
Congrats Aunt Allison...good to be a mush♥
Glad your mom made out OK Marylin prayers for a good fast recovery.
Victor I wonder if anything would have been done had the parcel been opened??
Out to ring Winston's neck since he just destroyed 3 new ferns I had sitting on the patio waiting for new pots...dumb me...I should have known better!
Congrats Allison, babies are the best. I'll be babysitting Leah in a little while so the kids can take Lindseys dad out for his birthday. Funny, both of their sets of parents are remarried, so both of their dads birthdays are on the same day, and both of their step dads birthdays are on the same day.
Whoa...that's weird, Debi! Have fun with your little cutie. Thanks, all, for the good wishes.....Mom's walking around with just a slight limp.....I kept telling her to sit....she finally dozed off in front of the tv.....Turns out the surgeon was a neighbor of my sister's, & they go to the same gym!
Glad you're moms doing well Robin, and your mil Victor
my sister is not the mothering type.. I am sure there is lots of babysitting in my future
;)
Has anyone noticed how beautiful the babies are on this forum? They are all so well-formed with beautiful faces.
Marilyn, very happy to hear the surgery went well!
Allison, Sophia is truly a beauty! You'll enjoy being her Auntie, I suspect!
Jen, that is an awesome photo of your nephew with his baby. The look on his face is really something and the baby is precious.
Debi, that is a very unusual situation with the birthdays! Have fun with little Leah, who is also a beauty! Is it that gardeners grow them beautiful, or is this just a group of families with great genes?
Victor, how is MIL today?
oh yeah... you know it
Some pain today, of course, but okay. Thanks.
OMG Allison, she's beautiful!! Congrats Aunty!! You know I LOVE her name!!!!
Good to hear Victor, not that she's in any pain but that things went well.
yes.. my Mom's middle name is Sophia .. oh crud.. off goes the computer again
No surge suppressor, Allison?? I never turn things off in a storm.
I have had a computer fry with one before.. not worth it happening again
Get a whole-house one.
Congrats, Auntie!!! She is beautiful!
RD, glad mom is doing well
Victor, continued prayers for MIL's adjustment.
Jeff saw a grizzly today as we were driving. Pretty exciting!!! Rt. 2 is beautiful. East of the mountains it is very straight and there are lots of fields of grain. That part is getting monotonous and was hard to concentrate on the driving.
Hoping you are healing well, Allison
still don't know if I trust it Victor.. but thanks
I also had a computer fry....as well as a TV, water pump, dog fence.....we get hit a lot on top of this hill.....Thanks, Jan....sounds like you are having a fun time....have never seen a grizzly, but did see golden eagles out west.....
In addition to a surge suppressor - plug your computer into a battery backup. The battery backup is MADE to handle electricity so it catches the surge and (hopefully) contains it.
Victor - is it easy to install a whole house surge suppressor?
Usually done by an electrician.
Always wondered what caused the pleasant smell of rain. Very cool!

interesting - surprising the oil released retards plant growth, would think the opposite were true.
has anyone just walked up to a home and asked for a tour of the yard?
there is a home not far from me that has all sorts of interesting conifer plantings in a woodland setting with masses of flowering perennials by the front of the home and what you can see in the back as you drive past. i am thinking about introducing myself.
They might like to meet another gardner.
I'd never let you in.
Take the chance, Bill....I'm sure they'd love to show you......
Take pictures of your rocks?
i think i will
Go for it, wha!!!
On Wednesday we stayed in Kallispell, MT at soferdig's place. Their gardens were to die for and the view across the valley toward Glacier was spectacular!!! It is zone 4. I REALLY need to do more planning for texture.
And Steve is a very nice guy!
He and Jeff got along famously! That area is beautiful!!!!!
How is Jeff feeling??
He's feeling pretty good. We are waiting on the results from the second blood draw to compare the enzymes. Barring any complications then we can be discharged. He is tired and hungry. As you know, waiting is a hard thing to do. Thanks for asking. It's kinda hard being away from a familiar area, too, but we are being well taken care of. God is good!
Jeff got discharged and we are in our motel room. To bed, perchance to dream. Will follow up with our doctor at home. Thanks for your well wishes and prayers.
