can't imagine being that wiped out
Coffee Break # 83
Thanks, Karen.
Yeah, it was weird. When we went on vacation that fall, we stayed with my aunt in FL, who kept asking me if she was okay since she kept nodding off!
that would be a concern to someone who didn't understand
I'm really sorry to hear that Victor, hopefully it will clear up quickly. Sending healing prayers and hugs your way.
I've done that once or twice myself, when Justin was in ICU @ Childrens hospital there were no more cots left and I either sat upright in a straight back chair or stood. After 3 days I could no longer tell if I was standing, sitting, awake or sleeping. They finally found me a recliner which felt like a feather bed once I hit it...but I was not leaving that child's side.
Same here Celeste when Joey had his brain surgery. He was 20. No cot for the first couple of days in ICU, napped against the wall. The things we can do if we are determined enough!
YUP! ^_^
Oh, wow, sorry about more bad news, Victor...your wife must be frantic about her Mom.....there was one sofa at Uconn Med Center when Grant was there.....my son & DIL took turns sleeping there for 3 weeks....they never left that baby alone....
Continued prayers for your MIL, Victor.
Heading home tomorrow from Michigan. We have been here since Sunday night. Two very relaxing days. Jeff is feeling better. Trying to get caught up with everything.
Wonderful, Jan...have a safe journey home!
Thanks, all. She is finally here in the rehab hospital. Just back from seeing her. She seems positive and happy to be here.
Good news!
This hospital is really something. Wonderful place.
Positive attitude will make all the difference
Have a safe trip home Jan, don't over do it.
A good attitude will help Victor for sure, best of luck to your mom in law♥
I thought this was a very interesting story.

Karen
being positive is always better... glad to hear it Victor
Just got here and had a thought about the Historic Town for sale.
Native Americans have such success with building cassinos - how about one ther in Montana.
that fish is pretty neat Jen
Glad to hear it Victor, being positive is very good!
Praying for continued healing for MIL, Victor......Karen, that's a great photo....such amazing critters!
Thanks, all!
oh geeze.. must have been out of it.. sorry!!!
So much to catch up on too. I'm just so far behind in everything. Jan, i also didn't know Jeff was sick, and I can just imagine how difficult that must have been for you both on the road. Glad to hear he's on the mend. Have a safe trip home and enjoy the sights.
Victor, hope your DMIL will continue to heal and adjust. She is so fortunate to have you and DW there.
Love the photos of DD & DGD in the Color Run, Celeste. You MUST do it next year! Looks like so much fun.
Robin, how is your Mom doing now?
Hi Louise, Mom is doing great ...will have her stitches out next week.....saw the folks who live in the woods behind me at blood draw this morning......they had a bear cub on their porch last month....this spring they had a cat they knew wasn't a bob, took a photo, looked it up on internet, & came up with lynx....but no lynxes in CT....they took the photo to the ranger station, & the rangers ID it as a lynx......guess it didn't hang around because the bunnies are taking over my yard ate all my carrot tops!
Re: lynxes What about the two Mountain Lion sightings in CT this spring? Marilyn - you need a little Jack Russell type dog to keep those bunnies hopping to someone elses yard!
Suey chases them, but they come right on back.....stubborn little bunnies! Yes, cougar sighting near our dam last year.....maybe that's why it's been closed since last summer, although the rangers keep saying it's because too many trees are down....my bird watching buddy, Buzz, went down there....past the No Trespassing signs!.....and he said the main trail was totally clear for over a mile.....I told him he would be banned from there for life, but the Army Corps may never reopen it anyway......
We're not the only country with maniacs killing many people and it's not only guns that are used.

Global problem for sure......
Glad your MIL is positively reacting to her new rehab, Victor.
RD, glad your mom is on the mend and YIKES about the cats.
Home again, home again, jittery jig!!! We made great time! I was driving. Made the 710 miles in 12 1/2 hrs. It was a good travel day. Jeff still feels a little punky, but did eat dinner.
welcome home!!.. hope Jeff's punkyness goes away now
Great - welcome back, Jan! Tell your kids to move closer! ^_^
Thanks, Allison
Heehee, Victor. We will be flying for awhile when we visit there again.
No good deed goes unpunished.
