Thea, thank you! And yes, I so appreciate the cooler temps. I slept through the lovely light display after midnight. Power must have went out and I never knew til I woke up with clocks flashing. I love Cracker Barrel (ask Betty) and it is like my Mom is there in some sense as that was our spot on special days.

Yes,most likely another surgery for his knee. Not sure but think he did too much too soon at work...and reinjured. Except this is on the other side of the same knee.

I'm back..playing with trip schedule, you know me and schedules...leaving about 5 hrs. each day for sleep..too funny..have Grand Ole Opry for the Saturday night, ends about 10pm..told Suzanne it would just about get us to Music Row for the 2nd longest running radio broadcast where stars just pop in..starts at Midnight lol

Probably stayed there 10 times or more.... I'd recommend a Beach View room...

My sister always says I can come stay with her... but I tell her "If I'm driving 300 miles... I'm sleeping somewhere that I can see the BEACH from my room !" LOL....

We've gotten condo's many times there but can't recommend for you because they rarely offer just one night stay... I'll see...

Felt like I was eating at a fast food restaurant, and I have never had that feeling there before. And....to make matters worse, not one "pretty" I had to have

Early morning prayers that surgery for Barb is the less intrusive kind and will go off as Roger would say 'tickatyboo'..likely Barb you' already left for the hospital..we'll be holding Norm's hands while the Lord, our God guides your doctor's hands!

Susan, Florida, heading towards north route is only about 4 hrs longer so why not spend a day or two to rest up before the long journey home. Lol. So hope you get off early and have the greatest of times camping..an adventure all on its own isn't it.

The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted old, my meat was definitely "nuked" to warm, but was cool in the center. Pauls food was cold also. Shannon said
her grilled chicken taste like rubber....so either training a new cook or something bigtime was off.

That is not good Debbie. I would have complained and asked for a refund!
I leave for San Antonio Friday Morning, and will be back Sunday afternoon! I have been looking at the sewing machines online. I found a really nice one on hsn.com, but after I read the reviews, I will keep looking. I liked this one, because it has a longer throat for quilting, it is also an embroidery machine, and a serger.

Hmmm you got to wonder though being 4 in 1 machine how good it would be in all 4 areas and for that price???
Always better if you can sit and try the machine out using different fabrics. Will be exciting though to bring a new one home..lucky you! Looked at one last week (certainly NOT to buy) imagine it was 10K.

Its the heat Debbie, the heat! I bet that had an effect on the Cracker Barrel. They are always run off their feet when this kind of heat hits and sometimes they just aren't staffed to handle it. So sorry! You could have joined me for a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Mmmm goood!

Judy, I actually didn't because we have been going there over 25 years, and this is the FIRST time I have ever had a bad meal. Everyone is entitled to off days, but if it happens again, I will certainly mention it. The waitress was great, service pleasant..so whatever was going on...was in the kitchen.

Been working getting a file to the Trustee's office, am flabbergasted, have a file here with bank statements, this man has a gambling issue, last November he had 485,678.87 in the bank, entries shows gambling in every casino this and your side of the border, now in the negative and STILL gambling..how very sad that is..when he comes in it's always a pleasure to talk to him..sure hope he gets help!

Went downstairs on my break, ended up purchasing summer jammies, mine were terrible, of course there was a 45% on 90% of the jammies but I had to pick those not on sale...wouldn't you know.

Judy those are the best coffee pots, my mom used to love them....or the electric perk. I cheated and went down to the store and got an English Toffee
coffee. Decided to hot to drink coffee and half went down the drain and I opted for iced tea!!

Dealing with a wicked headache, think it is allergies /tension from change in weather.

The child has gone back to her apartment. My head is swirling trying to help her. She is such a mess but has a good heart.

Debbie, have an RC cola!!! must tell you, there was about 6 left from the gathering so I put them in the refrigerator..the other night I took one out and it wasn't very good, kinda flat, then I started to laugh, remember Jonathan was taking one buy one out, putting them on the ground, then back in the case then out again all weekend..must have fizzed out..lol

Weather is enough to have a headache with the humidity, have a nice nap this afternoon, might help. Must be overwhelming to always be worrying about Shannon, let's hope with your tips and tender love that she will do ok.

Been checking in as well for news of Barb, likely we'll not hear until late tonight or tomorrow!

Late yesterday afternoon I got a call from the surgeon's office saying he had a cancellation and could see me today. Same call as the day before, different person. Same result: I am on the surgery schedule list and should wait to hear form them - forget this call. I'm thinking that since the surgery is to be on my left knee I will paint my right knee with circles with lines through them when I have the surgery. Just in case the paperwork gets mixed up.

Hope we get good news about Barb soon.

It's hot and humid here. Not news this time of year.

Since it will probably be at least a month before the surgery I may make a short trip to San Diego/LA to get bulding/insulation materials. I can get stuff much cheaper there and it would give me a break from this heat. And it would give Tony time on his own. I figure that's always a little fun even though he continues to work just as hard. It would also allow me to check out some places which have short term accomadations for after the surgery.

We will have to go over what we can use. I'm not good at shopping when I'm on the road so I'll see what I can line up ahead of time.

Tony worked on the bedroom wall again this morning. With paper I tore up to help. I can now put one set of shelves back and start cleaning up. Whooppee!!!
