What about the damage done to the inside of your home Susan? Are they going to repair that as well?
Best/Worse/What did I learn today?
Morning all,
Sunshine day in my neighborhood, have all the curtains drawn, a/c on and sewing machine set up downstairs, guess you know what I'll be doing today..now going to play catch up!! Just watered the gardens, think tonight after seeing signs of grass yellowing I'll set the sprinkler. Hanging baskets need food, what I'm using doesn't seem to be helping, any recommendations..can't believe all the big box stores have already closed their plant areas.
Barb, how have you been feeling with all this humidity. Anxious to hear about your sewing projects and how your therapy is going...Are the boys still into sports and riding competitions or has that all come to an end for the summer?
Susan, finally some good new for you and Bob, now that the foundation has been secured it will be worth doing the upgrades, not healthy having mold inside your house. You will be happy to know if all goes well today Audrey's insert as well as mine will be in the post.
Dianne, bet you enjoyed Debbie and Paul's visit..know I did..was so nice seeing Debbie smiling and laughing!! Next you will take a road trip in your 'tang' and be heading stateside!! Have the loons been around to swim with you?
Debbie, how did Paul enjoy Darien Lake yesterday, must have been crowded..I was thinking the other day, now that you've been here and I say I'm coming over for the day you will think I'm crazy. Lol
This afternoon ill head into Midland then head into Midland for USA funds, need to replenish my vacation fund..every week I add to it..coming soon, hmm what, almost 4 weeks
Barb, Ann and her girls were going to go to Boston/Cape Cod for a week but apparently there is a bed bug infestation, not sure how you hear about such things so off the the Canadian east coast..she had to pick either going with her girls or with Suzanne and I, girls won..they need healing time as a family.
Must call Darlene this morning, weekends are the hardest for her...
Mary, how are things going with MIL' all reports coming back with good news..missed you on the night shift last night
Good thoughts going to all who need them..as Judy would say, sending armwraps
Morning everyone! Sounds like you all had a wonderful celebration on the 4th!
Andy, Heather and the Grandkids were here. We had a great time. Dylan sure is growing fast. He is 3 months old, and is wearing size 12 months in clothes! I ask Andy how much he weighs, and Andy said "fat"! LOL! He was weighed last month at his 2 month check up, and weighed 17 pounds then...
Dylan with Grandpa Todd and MaryAnne...
Betty, bedbugs have been in our news for a long time now. Guess they spread quickly, and are hard to get rid of! They can bite you, and if someone is sensitive, I guess you get a big rash, but they are not poisonous, just nasty little creatures.
Katie, sure hope your feeling better soon!
Betty, you asked what celebrations they had in Mexico? They have Cinco De Mayo, or the fifth of May.
http://www.history.com/topics/cinco-de-mayo
And they also celebrate the 16th of September...
http://www.mexonline.com/mexican-independence.htm
LindaKay, he is just adorable!! He has personality galore in those twinkling eyes! Watch out lol
Ahhh Lindakay, Dylan is just too adorable..they sure do grow quickly..look at. Those eyes and rosy cheeks....doubt he was out of anyone's arms for very long..spoilt I bet!
How are you doing? Less pain I hope but imagine humidity doesn't help..we sure are breaking record temps..we've done something to irritate mother nature this year!
Thanks for the info Lindakay, will read up on the feasts..
Katie, you feeling better this morning? Hope Tony is keeping an eye on you
Yikes, Sailor has been having a rough time this a.m.
I think it is the heat Betty....she seemed to have more spells on very humid days.
Doing a bit better, the news pills seem to be helping, so I will keep taking them.
Sorry to hear about Sailor.
Debby, so glad you got the chance to see Dianne, and give her armwrap's from all of us! How is she doing? Is her mouth still pretty sore?
LK, that little fellow is absolutely 5 pounds in a two pound sack....what a little cutie....bet he is gonna be heck on wheels when he gets mobile. grin
Susan, great news on the repairs. Hope you are enjoying your new job.
So glad y'all had a grand time together and the hubbies too.
Same old same old here...hot and no rain....rain and then really hot and humid...typical La summertime.
Waves and howdy to everyone.
LindaKay, her mouth was so so sore. She went back to dentist Wednesday, more antibiotics but did get stitches removed. Slow healing not helping! I gave her armwraps from everyone....and even my hubby gave her big arm wraps when we left. It was such a wonderful visit
I'm i's glad you finally got to visit..any ohoto's??
Will you let her know she is missed and we all pray for her well being!
I most certainly will. I posted the one of Dianne and I on the Sistah's thread, will repost here if you like. Most pictures I took were furbabies, flowers and the lake.
love to see some of them Debbie..I'll go back and check the thread
Those photo's are fantastic Debbie, thanks for sharing...love the one of you and Dianne and the one of you relaxing on the dock...what a view! How lucky Dianne is to wake each morning and see that view..I sure miss my home on the lake..best I can do is remind myself that I had 20 years to enjoy.
Beautiful photos Debbie. The smiles are so precious.... And I'm glad to know Dianne is healing albeit slowly......
OMGosh, look at those fuzzy messy faces!
My problem with having them would be I'd want to keep them all. She has just sent another dog out for breeding..no wonder we can't spend time together!
I'm feeling almost human. Slept better last night and my cough is almost gone. Lost a couple more pounds. The flu and subtropical temperatures diet.
Tony and I did errands today. He left a little early cause his mom was sick yesterday - possibly at least partly due to the heat.
My mood is up a bit. Almost three weeks of the flu has been really hard, especially after my knee problems and the months of a frozen shoulder. I'm happy to report that my shoulder is almsot all healed; that is making the biggest difference in my feeling better, I think. The frozen shoulder was really depressing.
My knee problems are still keeping me chair-bound a lot. Very frustrating as I feel fine while sitting but have trouble standing to do anything - like garden.
A few years ago I had nine dogs. A couple of friends did an intervention and found homes for three of them. One of them, Patches, came back from his new home which was miles away, to be sure it hadn't been a mistake. We had a good visit and I told him how much I loved him, He had dinner and slept over and the next day Dana took him back to his new home where they had been really concerned about his disappearance. He has not come back. I think we both needed to know how much we loved each other and that it was OK for him to stay with new people who loved him. Neighbor Dana has done some great work rehabilitating dogs who have been neglected and then letting them go to new homes. But she and her husband fell in love with their last rescue and now they have three dogs all the time.
This week has been relatively cool until today. Our weather is clear and lots of things are blooming so it's beautiful but godawful hot and humid.
hugs, katie
Hi..OMG, been trying all day to post!
So glad I wrote my post in word and saved...So here it is.

ROFLOL, I am thoroughly enjoying the "Eh"!! Here I'll say Eh,…Oh Eh, hehehe. can ya tell?
Barbara!! Sending big "toothy smiles" pass on to Norm, wink..Hahaha, I about spit them out reading your post about having my teeth!!! More on that in Betty's Gathering thread. For now, I want to know, did you have your surgery? How are you feeling and doing?? lol, you may get a ringle jingle later,...Oh My, How incredibly relieved your kids were spared their home in the fires! I hope and pray they are alright in mind. Know they were feeling "guilty" their home was left standing, We just don't know the reasoning, but just thankful They are OK...I'm sure they are probably very helpful to their friends and neighbors...May the People find some peace, quiet prayers for all who have lost loved ones, and/or their homes.
Shirley!! OMG, I can't even tell you how you were with us in Spirit. Your posting on the days of the gathering, I was just grinning ear to ear at how true this was! (your being there I mean) I'm going to tell a little story here...it will be repeated in the Gathering thread, but because you may not lurk there..Here goes, my story of the Day!!
Steve and I traveled on the Harley...In Windsor, first of all, lol We were entirely surprised to see a Rexall drug!!! Brought many memories for us both, we were very young when that Drug store was here in the states, IL to be exact.. Anyway, We stopped there to purchase a map, while Steve went in, I waited in the lot having a smoke while watching people come and go...The man parked next to us came out, we nodded in quite greeting and as i watched him pull away...(backed in) Oh, I have tears through great big smiles, His License plate read: Tubby G!!
I kid you not, I was so wishing I had my camera out...and as i type, I really wish I would have stopped him to get a pic... Well the first thing i did was laugh out loud, think about Tubby and his wonderful humor! That was the first of the day...Later, we stopped at the Swiss chalet for lunch, as we waited for the meal, Steve was reading one of those little papers, on it were a few humorous tidbits! And so for our Bruddah Tubby, a funny for you all.
Two city boys camping out, covered themselves with blankets from the misquitos. Soon, fireflies come out, one boy said to the other...we might as well give up, the’re coming with flashlights!!!
I was laughing so hard...Told my DH about Tubby and the plates and he laughed right along with me!
Bev, So glad to see you!! You are in my T&P always...I was glad to see Scotty is being taken care of at the nursing home, Know its hard for both of you, however a big relief for your health as well, speaking of HOW ARE YOU?? yep, in caps, 'cause I want to know? LOL, yep still nosey, I am!
Forgive my rudeness!!
A big Cheery welcome Stillwater, Your name please?
and Sarah'sKeeper/Andy P...
So very glad to see new friends!! Sorry I'm not around of late, hands on the hips...my computer is a bit on the Crazy side!! Roflol, just like it's owner. Soon we are getting a new one and i'll be around a lot more...Oh I'm Seedtosser/Seeds/ sometimes known as brat or haha, just Judy... Looking forward to getting to know you, for now sending cyber ArmWraps in (((((((((((((Welcome!!)))))))))))…You, if not already, will LOVE these beautiful friends.

Please say hi to Momma, lol Dave too…will have to ringle jingle you soon.
Speaking of ringle jingles!!
Susan, so incredibly Cool to have met ya via phone at Thunders and then “in Person” on Skype at Bettys!!! Someday we will really meet and get that ArmWrap, EH?
Waiving Hiya to Suse, and Katie, was so, so nice to see you each post. Hope all good things for you both…and Thea, sure hoping that vertigo is under control. Sure missed you. Also wondering what beautiful works you are doing.
Awe…Sistah Jaye and Marion!!! I know you two can imagine my big happy smiles to see you both wonder over…You both have got to have felt our Spirit as we felt yours with us!!
Will have to start walking, because I am not missing your gathering Marion…LOL, I told DH, if he thought Janice was so cool…which he did, I can’t wait for him to meet you two, and as you know we love going to Florida, and ya’all just may meet the entire tribe, hahaha.
Moonie, My, Moonbeam!! Jumping up and down waiving hello, So smiling, could you feel me?
Each and every night, waived at you and my Gypsies…Betty has strict instruction to ArmWrap you if you get to meet, which I hope you do, lolol and although I will be so very happy I will also be so jealous, but in such a good way. You know I can hardly wait for 9pm…lol our ringle jingle time.
Liz, Waiving Hello via cyber style!! Thanks for getting word to Jake!! And know you’ll be donking me in the head but…Everyone, Liz is doing ok, phooey she is though having computer problems! Was glad we got to have a quick chat and you got to say hi to Betty!!!

And finally, Betty, my Loving Friend/Sistah!! I am not shy to say I LOVE YOU!!! Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. We felt so at home, and Steve was just at awe of all the work you’ve done on the inside and out!! More on the gathering thread.
Ok so I have been typing this all morning!!! I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone…If I have, ROFLOL, you know I’ll be back with an oops…
OH…”Polly” has to repeat, haha, Sunshine!, just in case you don’t get it…I will tell you all about my trip to Betty’s in the Gathering thread. Here at home I just wanted to say Hi to all of you, I miss you very much, still grumbling about this stupid machine.
Waiving hello, Sending Healing and fun Arwraps and
In general wishing you all a grand day!!…Be sure to keep Cool!
Whew, lolol I’m done!
Hey Judy, glad to see you posting, hope your catching up on your sleep! Love the Tubby joke!
As far as the contest went, I got an honorable mention, but no prizes. They liked my design, but I was told it did not have enough quilting on it! Guess the judges like a lot of quilting. Oh well, I had fun, and will do it again if given the chance!
big smiles as I sit and read, just got back from town and talk about hot..actually who am I to tell you all it's hot, likely hotter in you neck of the woods.
Judy you are always so full of excitement, can feel it in your posts...so glad that Steve enjoyed the trip..makes things a lot easier kowing he'll think about doing others.
Katie, that is amazing the Patches came to visit..shows how much he loved living with you!
Now if we can get your knees looked after we'll have a happy Katie on our hands..sure hope Tony's mom is on the mend!
LindaKay, Honourable mention is good! I'm amazed at how much work you put into these projects just for competition..now who will be the recipient..
drats, I sure miss having a fabric store in town..needed fabric to put a border on an I set, went to a new local store that sells machines, fell in love with. $10,000 one, can only hooe I'll win the lottery tonight..no fabric in the store..went to Elmvale, (Judy that is the town where you turned right to go to Wasaga Beach) now closed..they told me that the owners have now moved into their home to operate the business but the municipality made them take their sign down..got there at 4:45 only to find out they still can't operate, other issues so now I'm at a standstill unless I can find fabric which is suitable in my stash..other than that, will have to wait until Monda for Fabricland in Barrie!
Hate it when a plan does not come together
Brought home Chinese, best eat it before it get cold
EH, Judy.......... what's that EH??? lol My silly sistah, Judy - you make me smile!!
Love the Tubby joke! Shirley - hope you come by to see how we love you and miss your "other half" - so glad you've joined us. Are you doing ok???
LK - yes, honourable mention IS good - it's your first time entering, right? EH? (couldn't resist - JUDY! lol)
Katie - glad you're feeling better - and the nasty flu is Over! Glad also that your shoulder is better, and hoping your knees improve.......
Betty - plans? I think you're doing awesomely well with plans, including those for the Gathering, that came off without a hitch! Glad to hear you're getting some sewing done - it's been awhile since you could do it, cuz I know you've been a busy beaver in your yard and garden - getting rid of buildings and getting "eye candy" to put up replacements lol
I get to keep it, they sent it back! Yes, this was my first competition.
Katie, that frozen shoulder is quite common in females, a small injury or bump can cause it, and it can bother you for a long time. I had one a few years ago, and it would not move for about 6 months! I went to my chiropractor, and he kept working it till it finally broke free. My ortho Dr, wanted to break it, and re set it! Don't think so!
Whew... Judy can get long winded... eh?
Actually LK... you should be proud of yourself for that honorable mention. It means they liked your work... just needed to see more stitches in the quilting. Next year you know... and you'll blow them away.
Sheesh, Betty... I know what you mean... I could almost open a store with my stash... but never have just the piece I need when I need it. The nearest fabric store for me is an hour away in Mesquite, next to Dallas.
Well, laundry all done, once again and I'm all repacked for our trip to Denver. Leave Monday morn.
Projectile vomiting broke mine loose. kb
Whew Judy !
Love your post... you have an infectious smile hidden in your writing... just can't have a frown not that I'd need to...
Grinning ear to ear at your visit....
Can't wait to meet Betty.... she's keeping her trip a secret... I suppose I don't even know when she'll pop up... but hope it is after August 5th cuz I'll be driving back from Florida that day....
Read all... just trying to keep up...
Katie Dogs are simply amazing... we had a similar story with one of Mom's dogs after she passed. Glad you are getting better...
LK - I think honorable mention is ... well... very honorable. got to consider it was your first time...some folks might have entered a bunch and never got as far as you...
Debbie- those pics are amazing... LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL SMILES ! now I see why I enjoy my walks with Dianne so much what a peaceful place...
(HUGS)
Mary
BeeeJaaaay!!! Thats what you love about me and don't you forget it, wink, wink!!
hahaha, But, you know haven't had computer time in ages so just had to say hi, ROFLOL, ya already know that.
OMG, OMG...Betty and Everyone Story of the night!
So, I'm sitting out on my deck, when I hear, Hello? Return the hello and look, here are 2 police officers walking up.
Oh golly, kids are out, so right away, worried... They ask are you Judy? Yes, I am, What can I do for you?... He then asks did you loose a wallet? OMG, I practically scream, Yes I did...Where did you find it? Well He tells me its at the Police department in the neighboring town....Woohoo, I am smiling away, toothless even, He gives me the phone number and the officer who has it, I was so excited I did a happy little jig right there! They laughed and was glad it was found. Asked when i lost it, told them back in Nov!!! They left and I made the call to Officer G.
Turns out...A man and his son were fishing, just up the road at the Des Plains River, Found it, had it for a week, tried to find me via internet...then turned it in to police dept...Officer G tried to locate me to with no luck contacted our police dept... said the wallet is all beat up and rattled off the contents...Thank God, every card is still in it, OMG including my tribal id!! Oh happy tears are now forming...He asked if i want just the contents, i said no I wanna see the the wallet too...lol, Thank God for answered prayers and it is in safe hands...of the water and Police dept!! Yahoo and yippeeee...Lost 30 bucks, but who the heck cares, price to pay for all my cards! Pick it up tomorrow at 3:oo P.M. Asked officer G if the man left his name, he did not...But I am so thankful to him and his son!! They sure caught the big one!!
Hope this goes through!
OMG Judy, after all this time, no wonder you are excited!! I'd be doing the happy dance as well. Had you already replaced most of the documents or were you hanging in till it was found?? I would have had a heart attack seeing them at the door then asking if you were Judy! You'll need a beer after that fright..
Now guess who is doing the happy dance tonight?? Just listened to the weather report, COLD front moving in tomorrow..I'm almost tempted to open all the windows and let the evening breeze lull me to sleep.
Mary, I'd all goes according to plan we are in New Orleans the night if the 7th and 8th I believe..now remember after this heat almost second guessing New Orleans, could we drive to Alaska?? Lol tonight I've made a list of things to bring with me...ordered 2 more of those light weight utfits, hoping they come n before I leave..reason. Lke them is they travel well, take little space, lightweight and wrinkle free. I don't worry about packing, I've got it down pat, can pack in the a.m and not miss a thing. Called and made an appt for a perm..was thinking with the humidity I'll be little miss frizzzz.
Been quiet since I asked Kyle to leave on Wednesday night, haven't seen him since...was going to cal but then it would show weakness and he would know he won.
Guess its bedtime
Katie, you must be no bigger than a minute..you have lost so much weight. I want to lose but not like that.
WOW, Judy I am sitting here just amazed! I asked you about the wallet when first we talked at Betty's. SO SO happy that man was an honest man and his son.
Maybe you should take the officers some donuts? Ooops, maybe not!
Betty, with Kyles issue....it won't show he won, it would show his Grandma misses him....and loves him unconditionally. It is Ok to do wrong and still be loved.
I am heading to bed....long hot day and busy one tomorrow with my girls.
Sweet dreams
Judy - OMG can't believe... after all that... you've *Found* your wallet !
That's amazing....
Betty - remember we Southern Folks have cool air and air conditioning everywhere! If anything you'll probably need to plan for mixed temps.
On the 8th there is some CBS Buzz Tour that I am expected to attend but it might be MUCH FUN! Downtown Baton Rouge, and I could treat you to an Italian Restaurant that is one of my clients..... should be a live band and such...
Debbie who is the beautiful Blond girl on FB who looks JUST like you... ?
HUGS
Mary
I can just see your little happy dance, Judy... gonna make it rain if you keep it up. LOL... JK...
So glad you get your wallet back... and all the cards.
Darn, I miss sleeping with the windows open like we did at Betty's. But night time temps here of 90 just don't cut it.
Betty - stand strong with Kyle - He knows you love him AND his father AND won't put up with hasty words and/or angry ones in your house. You have principles after all!!
cold front? We're about to have another heat wave, after the hail, rain, and (to the NW of Calgary) a small tornado! It didn't go anywhere near a populated area.
JUDY!! How very wonderful you got ALL your cards back! The $30 was in the wallet I presume - suppose it was taken when your wallet disappeared. The Lord was looking out for you. I'm sure the person who took the $30 really needed it, for whatever reason. You're right - it's a small price to pay!
I like sleeping with the windows open - don't feel so stifled.......!!
Went NW of Calgary tonight to a farm to pick up some bales of hay for our Church's Stampede Lunch on Sunday. 192 km round trip = 119 miles!! I was able to contact a farmer via the company I work for - United Farmers of Alberta lol
Tomorrow we're going to a Stampede Breakfast at our Community Center (8am).
Lordy, woke up to a very soft rain, overcast bit that is ok...very still out there so even if I open the windows likely no breeze. Think heat wave broke..weathermen were off, there was no call for rain?? But we shall take it and with a smile! Wish I could share.
Good Lord saved me a from chores, watering and cutting grass so in the sewing room I shall be until we get sunshine and dry grass.
B.J. You no sooner got home from your visit and off you go..how long will you be away??
Mary would do so if it weren't for having Suzanne with me and she has planned several walking and boat tours..but somehow we will touch base..a must!
I'm sure with the weekend here and Kyle's always touring the area he will drop on! Just don't like having to set them straight but that's a grandma's job isn't it.
Birds are chirping, having coffee on back deck..Riley came home long enough to eat and cried to get out the door, off she went.
Enjoy your day
Mornin' Ladies !!!
Betty, we'll be gone 3 days. This is our annual trip to Denver. The company Don works for has a company wide get together/bbq at the bosses house/meetings. They pay for our flight, hotel, and car... it's like a paid vacation for us. They always hold this during the Allstar's games, since they don't do any of the broadcasts that week. Every employee, and their wife/husband are there.
We arrive early Mon morn, and have the whole day to do what we want... sight seeing. Then on Tues, Don has to attend a 2 hour meeting... and that evening we both attend the bbq at Phil's house. On Wed, all employees are required to attend a noon meeting/luncheon. While the employees are in meetings, the wives get together and do something.
Mary that blonde is my oldest daughter Jeanna and her hubby Joe, along with my Izzy. Can you believe she is 28!
People she doesn't know have stopped her and asked if she was me and I didn't age from high school. LOL I wish I was still that size!
Heading out to the Corn Hill fest with the older girls & hubbies & Paul.
Have a good day!
Debbie
B.J. How exciting is that..guess over the years you've come to know some of the wives and will have someone to see the sites with..omg an all expense paid trip, that makes it all the more special. You enjoy yourself..
Debbie, she's beautiful as is her mom..enjoy the day..is it raining there?
Ohhh must check my lottery ticket, main draw 50 million and 50 -1 million prizes..can only hope, then I could travel ..
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready, and I will be out back watching the hummers.
Judy, that is terrific news! Did you not have any ID with your address? So glad all the cards were still in the wallet!
Everyone, please check out this story, then check your computer to make sure you do not have this bad program in your computer.
