No plans for us for the 4th. other than enjoying a free day, no babysitting!! I love my grand-girls but they are wearing me out...especially with Luci being in a cast and limited ability. Why don't I remeber having to keep my two boys entertained all day?
Heehee, probably cuz they entertained themselves. Only having boys, I can only relate with grandygirls and they do seem to need more of my time.

Will be headed to Annapolis tomorrow so Hope can play with some more of her cousins. Then on Monday we start our cross-country drive to take her back home to Oregon. This has been a great visit.
Still laughing over Louise's story.....we had guinea pigs, fish, & mice for class pets....worms? I guess that says it all...going to my cousin's for a picnic on Sunday....may go to the farm on July 4th, not sure yet....
Have heard that one of DH's nieces has evaculated from Co Springs safely. The house is south of
Air Force Academy & hope that the fire has been stopped.
Older people like me watch the Boston Pops on TV. Locally we get the concert & they switch nationally for the fireworks.

Healthcare decision is too controversial/political to get into, but what about the other decision getting no attention. You are protected by the 1st amendment when you lie about military service! Geeze. What if you do it to obtain benefits?? Extra points on civil service tests? Disgusting.

oh I did order that walking boot on amazon.. not using these crutches for 2 weeks.. I can say I am a spaz on them
Crutches are uncomfortable....but when I broke my hip, I was afraid to start using a cane...my therapist told me he was going to take my crutches away & hide them, so, no choice!
I could def see the crutches doing more damage to the good ankle.. well sort of.. it's hurting already

So, you all think "Whiskers" was a strange class mascot? Come on.....this is Florida we're talking about! He was called Whiskers because he was one of those furry (whiskery) guys. Believe me....the name fit him perfectly! :). Until..........:(

Louise, what a story about your part in the demise of Whiskers. Wow. I'm guessing it wasn't an earthworm. I accidentally killed a mouse that we had as a pet when we were kids. It was my sister Wanda's mouse. She had gotten away, and scurried under a tall, slender bookcase. I went to move it away from the wall so I could get her, and a bunch of books that had been sitting on top came crashing down on her. Oh, I felt so awful, and I didn't tell anyone about it. I couldn't face the music.
Allison, sorry to hear you have a fracture. I hope it heals up quickly. I would be so bumming if that happened to me.
