‎10 years ago I was RAPED and ATTACKED (July 09, 2002) while doing what I love to do....RUN! Not a run has gone by where I don't think of that horrible day. Today I received news that KENNETH TOCHER died! He fell or jumped to his death (still under investigation) from the 15th floor of a building while trying to outrun the police. He was caught breaking into and stealing from cars. Once a criminal, always a criminal! When he was released from prison, the police warned me that he would offend again...yet they released him to his home which is 1km from my house....I have lived in a silent fear for 10 years! Tomorrow I will put on my running shoes....I will not look over my shoulder...I will not look in the direction of his house....I WILL SMILE...I WILL NOT BE AFRAID...I WILL LOVE TO RUN AGAIN! I AM FREE!

Oh Jean was about to ask if that was butterfly weed. Got some in the swap and was thinking today how much I do love it because they always have color on them. What is that web stuff and if I sprayed with neem did I kill the butterflys? My sinuses were horrible last week... do you think that is all the rain?

Mary, those are the seeds attached to their parachutes....If you sprayed caterpillars and they died, you killed butterflies....They are a food source for a half dozen or more native butterflies. As for rain, there is a tropical Storm, Debby, sitting in the Gulf.....where she goes and what she becomes depends on the Jet Stream...watch/warnings are posted from Morgan City to Pearl River....they think it will turn towards Corpus Christie/Brownsville/Mexico border but can't say for sure. We may get a bit more than we want.

Rape is a very debilitating and invasive crime. I remember it being a family member, and when he died I laughed at his funeral......... and then I found out other family members suffered from his "attention" too...........
It's sad that no one, until I, mentioned it to adults so it could be avoided. Strange isn't it, how most kids won't say anything, but maybe it's because they wouldn't be believed and may even get punished for lying about a beloved family member............

I'm back, after a very busy day of helping Nami pack, and try to sell things. She gave so many things to us, and tomorrow she's renting a truck (it's supposed to rain, and our open truck won't do - so she's getting a 14' closed truck) and Bob's going to put the remainder that doesn't sell in storage at our Church for awhile. Hopefully it will sell there.... or on Kijiji or Craigslist where I posted ads.
She's so anxious about going to Malaysia - her fiancé Zachary only moved there 3 weeks ago, and doesn't have anything in the way of furniture or anything else.

Yes you can give the daylily a garden name but if you want to register it the third yr, you register the name too. I have several other ones that I am watching. This other one is ready to register if I want to. BEV

My Mother and her Sisters were all abuse from their Father when they were growing up. It is not an easy thing to live through. When my Mom heard her Father passed away, she cried, but not because he was gone, because she was so relieved, knowing he would not hurt anyone else ever!

Linda Kay. Each seed from a daylily pod or a hosta pod produces a completely new plant. Each and every seed is different. There are endless possibilities here. You can get all colors and shapes from one pod of seeds. That is how you grow them for three yrs to see if they stabilize then can register them as your own. I'm here asking for your prayers for my son and his family. I just got word that they have had to evacuate their home in Colorado Springs because of the wildfires there. The fire is only one ridgeline away from their home. My DIL said "Tell Grammy not to worry - we grabbed the quilts on the way out the door!" Can you imagine that? With all the precious things we acquire over the years, and they grab the quilts!!!!! They are now at Peterson AFB until they find out if they can go home or have a home to go home to.....Thanks my friends.

Oh Barb, how scary for them all! Definitely saying prayers for their safety and their home. Fighting mother nature is so so hard.

Debby. I don't know what either of those are, sorry. Betty each seed makes a plant if it is fertile. If you put five seeds in a cup you couild have up to five daylilies. I planted these right in the ground in the fall three yrs ago. BEV

By the pure definition of the word, yes the person(s) setting the fires are indeed terrorists. A terrorist is any person whose deliberate actions are intended to scare, intimidate or otherwise cause grievous mental or physical harm. So a person who sets fires like that is a terrorist, most likely mentally disturbed or a member of a supremacist gang of thugs.

I need prayers for my neighbor please? My neighbor Josie is a single Mom, and has a daughter that is 15. Her daughter has been running away since she was 11, and she found out the other day, that she has been running with a know local gang, and has been sleeping with 30+ year old males, and is on drugs. Josie also found out that her daughter has some pretty nasty diseases, that come from the mens she is sleeping with. When they found her last week, she was i a know crack house that harbors a lot of run way girls, and makes them do sexual favors for the drugs they shove down their throats. It is not a good situation, and they need a lot of help!

Didn't get much of Nami's stuff sold on kijiji or Craigslist (no one from Craigslist responded........). People want to pay 1/4 of the value of things, on Kijiji........ such a shame - but we're "holding out" for proper prices! Got her place cleaned, and remaining stuff moved to the Church.
She's on the plane at noon today, but had to be up and out at 5:30 this am to the airport. Don't imagine she slept much. She had a lot of friends who bought stuff, and helped (had 3 other people helping Bob unload at the Church, and 2 young fellows helped load as well).

Susan, know that one thinks their belongings have a higher price but really on both those sites you almost have to give it away.. some of the girls wanted me to put the big t.v. cabinet/vcr cabinet that I painting an insert in and paid mega $$$ to have made, rather than sell it for what I'd get on those sites I stored it in the back shed, one day someone will say, oh I love it and off it goes..

Betty - that's what I was telling her - people want for less than 1/2. They want for Very Little....
She had a bar table and 4 chairs - paid $350 for it, and someone wanted it for $75. We said no less than $100 so there it is, in storage. Beautiful sectional - reclines one end, queen bed on large end, and a corner piece. Asking $150 - no takers. It must have cost $800........

Still a lot in today's market and for what you can purchase on sale..know it's worth it to her but now in storage and what is she paying for storage..should let it go and save storage $$$..easy for me to say right
