Sorry to hear that Allison.
NE Pets Forum #22
I am beginning to think my power animal is a bird... Randy had to leave to wrap up some things from the party yesterday and stop by Michele... I got up to get a drink of water.. looked out my kitchen window and there was a red tail hawk just starring at me .. sitting up on the slope.. we gave each other the stare down for a half a min and he flew away
WOW a hawk?
How old was Wiley? tell Michele, sorry for her loss. I know you'll miss him too, so sorry
I have been comforted by birds many times......
I was watching a hummingbird flying back and forth in an arc, pretty cool to watch. There was another in the area, not sure if it was aggression toward a male, or a mating ritual for a female.
when I told Michele everyone from here was sending her well wishes, hugs & kisses of course she cried.. but said you guys were always great support and thanks all of you
Dam I cut Winston's quick and couldn't get it to stop bleeding. The cauter gel I have just wouldn't work no matter how much I used. There was blood everywhere. I got it packed pretty good with flour out of corn starch of course. He didn't yelp, just blood pouring out.
oh that's not good.. is he ok now?
Yes Allison he is thanks. I had to crate him so he would stay still. I'm not going to clean it until the morning.
So glad I don't have carpeting!
YIKES, turmeric works on human cuts wonder if it would have worked on that
Ouch! Reminds me of my hand cutting. What does the turmeric do, Jen?
stops the bleeding
Poor Michelle, my deepest condolences. Wiley made it a lot longer than the doctors said because of the love and great care she gave him. Please give her a big hug from me.
Hope it's nothing serious Ronnie and he's OK today!
Thank you Celeste.. and I will .. hugs!!
Oh, no, Ronnie.....that happened to my dale, Jazz.....they cut her nails at the vets, stopped the bleeding there, but when I got her home....blood all over the place...I took her back to the vets, & it stopped as soon as they put something on it....just scary!
I really never saw so much blood, even when my son went through the storm door glass as a kid he didn't bleed as much!
All better today. I really wanted to be able to cut his at home, I never could with Harper. Abby's are easy, hers are white and I can see what the heck I'm doing!
Guess tomorrow if he fits in the truck with the girls and Harper he is going with us to the groomer to get them cut.
Well I got a little surprise - took Sampson in for teeth cleaning and the vet removed irritated tissue in his mouth and then they found two cavities when they were scaling his teeth. I didn't know they were going to take out the tissue! This time I let them biopsy the tissue because they would go back in and take even more tissue if it comes back positive. I was planning on just leaving the irritated tissue becasue it didn't hurt him. $igh.
Oh, no! I have to take Suey for a teeth cleaning session & I dread it....Ronnie, glad Winston is better!
oh sorry Memory.. nothing is ever cheap with these things.. hope he is ok
Hope everything turns out OK Memory. Your such a good cat mom!
Sherrie - {{{hugs}}}
sorry for your bad night Sherrie
Had bad news about my granddog, Ollie....trachea is 30% collapsed, vet doesn't know if he has 2 months or 2 years left, but the more he coughs, the worse it will get....he will be 9 in Sept. and I spent every week day with him when he was a pup since my son & DIL worked.....
I'm sorry to here that Robindog. Is there no fix for it?
:(
how does something like that happen???
oh so sorry to hear that RD... Jen depending on the breed some are prone to it.. like yorkies.. but a collar or pulling on the leash can do it.. or it can happen naturally
Ollie loved to take apart the woodpile, & carry huge logs around....that may have contributed....he's never on a leash, they have 5 acres with an electric fence...and since he's a rare breed.....wire-haired pointing griffon....we don't know if the breed is prone to it or not....my little granddaughters were quite sad about it.....
Sorry to hear.
Sorry to hear that Marylin, hoping for the best for Ollie.
Yes, me, too....he's a friendly, happy boy......
Yank you are THE best kitty Mommy ever!!!!! (((HUGS)))
Sorry Sherrie, hope today is better.
That's terrible Robin, hugs and prayers friend.... hope you get the years out of him.
1.) This is Cyrus discovering his 1st frog.
2) This is Romeo watching Cyrus with said frog. He just has that look as if he's saying "Stupid Dog!!"
3) The LOOK Cyrus gave me when I rescued the poor thing from him.
4)Whoops...posted it twice!
5) Little guy has no idea how lucky he is.

Cyrus is so handsome! When he gets into the snow, you won't find him!
Romeo does have that look...ugh...dogs!
Don't overwork yourself Clifford and don't eat the profits!
Winston got hold of a baby sparrow...thought for sure he had eaten it but I got his mouth pried open and it was whole. I guess he was playing with it. Have to be vigilant with the girls on keeping the coop gate locked. Certainly don't need dead chickens.
Cliffie looks so cute! Not good that Winston is interested in birds!
Cy is a handsome boy!!!... Clifford doesn't look miserable in his hat.. my guys always pout
It's the poodle blood. He'll proudly wear whatever crazy things people put on him. I'll never forget when we just got him and DD1 tied a ribbon around each ear.
Fun to watch the pets grow up. We had a phase of eating every animal in sight, but now Cliffie leaves them all alone or else he romps around with them. Nice of Celeste to rescue the frog from inquiring Cyrus.
We've got a hawk too but my spirit animal is a bat :) The hawk is the only thing that eats the little critters, and we have so many my kids think they're in a Bambi movie when they go outside. I wonder if its only because of the new shrubs and flowers, or because the neighbor properties have downed all their trees.
Clifford looks good in that hat!!
