Memory, you are such a good cat Mom! The vet knows he's a stray....you are doing what you can.....Yes, Ronnie, 6 is a lot, but Lucy-Lu is a big female.....bigger than some males even.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Had a real scare today. Crash got out and was AWOL for hours. We were in full panic. He is 15 and not in the best of health. To boot, he has no front claws. Luckily, he made his way back.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow glad he is ok

Thomaston, CT

Oh, no! You are so lucky he found his way home!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Yes. To boot, yesterday was his annual checkup and he was diagnosed with hyperthyroid. Needs daily med now.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh Lordy Victor, been there done that, and it's no picnic!!! Glad he found his way home, as far as the meds....he's 15! He's done well to stay healthy so long. ^_^

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Victor go directly to the Yahoo Hyperthyroid group http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/Feline_Thyroid_Support/. They know all about feline HyperThyroid and can help in so many ways. They know the medical protocols and the various ways to medicate especially if he can't tolerate the meds by mouth. He can still live a long life - it isn't a death sentence.

Introduce yourself and Crash to the group and post his bloodwork and they will tell you much more than your vet has time to.

Memory and the cats

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Mem. The vet only told me it's high. Did not give me the test results. I got the first dose in him tonight with no problem.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Good Crash is back home and okay. That was a scare.

Abby was such a cute puppy! Yes, I think bulldogs are one of the most adorable pups of all.

Memory, I'm sure the vet will understand about Meeyow's condition and will realize you do the best you can for him.

Hugs for Crash and glad he made it back home safe and sound!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Glad you found him

Helping animals is big to me. I take them in, feed them, love them and give all I can.

Miss Molly is going to be 11 months old Sunday. She is starting to turn in color.!!! Her golden little puppy color is going to more orange and her skin is starting to turn darker.

Now I am starting to feel really Antique.

and Mr. G is one handsome smart dog. He is a spoiled little pussy.

LOL at Mr. G
How is Molly doing with the worm issue?

Thomaston, CT

Dogs coats do change over time...my wolfhound got lighter, almost white, Robin got more brindle, & Suey has brown showing through the black...guess the sun bleaches them out....

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh man.. we went to Harper's to pick up Harry... came back and someone ate the whole can of snout soother... looking everything up to see if it's poisonous or not

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh thank god!!!.. from the company.. I was not expecting a response since they were closed on the weekend

Quoting:
No worries!!! It's all natural and made primarily of nut oils.

Might cause the runs a little just like extra fat would do.

Not the first time to hear that lol!

Send me your address and I will replace it. :)

Elice

Thomaston, CT

Who's Harry? Glad that stuff wasn't harmful!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Nice that they are going to replace it.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh geez, glad you're getting a replacement

hope if they get sick they do it outside!!!

our neighbor's Boxer ate their nephew's bird(either a cockatoo or cockateil)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh no

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh that's terrible :(

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Glad the pups ate something non-lethal!
Poor bird. :(

Thomaston, CT

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Thomaston, CT

Too funny!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

That was great!!

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

That was pretty good!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

either it's just a coincidence or those tags work.. no ticks or bites since they have been wearing them.. and I haven't used any spot stuff on them just to see

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

That is amazing.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sigh... I just got off the phone with Michele.. she had to put Wily down last night.. for the last couple of weeks he was struggling breathing.. just coughing and coughing... couldn't get stressed, excited, or hot.. and it just would get worse.. get a couple of shots at the dr and would be better for a while.. time was getting less and less between visits.. she knew it was time to not see him suffer.. he lost a ton of weight in 2 weeks.. guess he was too weak to recover this time.. but again the vet only gave him months back in 2008 with his pancreas.. and it was years and years.. so we are thankful for that

you know when I was picking my guys up after the party.. the shape he was in was not good.. and I had a feeling it was a matter of time.. but Randy clammed him down and he seemed better before we left... guess she didn't have that in the middle of the night.. Al was talking about us watching him in Aug and didn't want to worry us with his coughing.. on the ride home I told Randy I don't think we will have to worry for too long.. I saw the look in the dogs eye... he was saying goodbye last night.. glad we got to see him at least

Durhamville, NY(Zone 5b)

My Condolences.

East Bridgewater, MA

Painful to say, "Good-bye" to a dear pet/animal friend, but it's the best thing for him(her) to end what would be a long, downhill battle.

My vet always said, if the animal is going to decline and decline, let go for his sake.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Michele -so sorry for your loss. {{{hugs}}}

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Oh Allison so sorry to read this my deepest, deepest sympathies to you and Michele.
So glad you got to see him (((♥)))

Thomaston, CT

Sorry, Allison....I know Wiley was well-loved, he lived so much longer than predicted.....still sad, however.....

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Sorry to hear. Please extend my condolences.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)
