allison it did not make it although my fault for not planting sooner

Jersey Shore, NJ(Zone 7a)

Wow, great pics! The northeast is rockin. I can't believe you have lupins blooming. I did some from seed and some others are purchased babies, but none are near to blooming.

(Pam) Warren, CT(Zone 5b)

Pixie, here's an interesting article about your grandmother's iris:

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

nice Jen!!!... oh well Bill.. it happens

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Wow I agree the Northeast is "Rockin"

Celeste I love Blue Eyed Blond!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Ohhhh yes.Things are a bit lopsided here where we had March and April reverse. DL's are budded and will bloom a month early, salvias were early ,veronicas are just starting. None of my carefully thought out combos are co-operating this year.Just go with the flow I guess.

Wow Bill, your yard is just gorgeous...don't know why im still stunned though. ^_^
Love those sibs. Robin!
Jo, you can't fight Mother Nature and win. :)

Thank you Pam, that was very interesting read.
Quote: "Thus, according to Mottet, the distinguishing color characteristic of SANS SOUCI and HONORABILE is whether the falls have distinct veins or whether they are solid-colored. If the falls have veining, the iris is SANS SOUCI." Sounds like I own SANS SOUCI!!

Bill, those peonies are stunners.....Thanks, Pixie...a lot of the sibs came from Joe Pye Weed's...Jo, everything here is blooming out-of-order as well! Pam, thanks for the article.....I thought this was Honorabile, but it has veining also...but the falls are purple....

As the falls are purple & not red it is neither of the mentioned plants.

Poppies & roses....isn't this a great time of year? Such pretty blooms!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Now I know why I didnt start drinking in February.

South Hamilton, MA

good bloom JoAnne.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Jo, your poppies are looking wonderful. Did you buy an 'Orkney Cherry' geranium last year? I bought one, and this year it's looking so spectacular. I even had enough to divide it and got about 6 pots to sell. I was thrilled! I would love to have some of those McKenna giant columbines.

Marilyn, your 'Arctic Fire' dianthus is really nice! I also love that NOID Sib that you posted on May 28. Would love to have some if we end up meeting at a RU sometime. That 'Almost Amber' Sib is a beauty, too.

Rosemary, I love 'Coral Charm' peony. Just lovely! I don't know why anyone would want to eradicate it.

Allison, I love the 'Coral Reef' poppy! That is one I've been wanting. Must start from seed. I also love your gorgeous yellow, ruffled TBI.

Ronnie, was that double peach poppy an annual variety, or perennial? It should have returned if perennial. There are many that are annual. Your red rambler rose is really nice.

Jan, that 'Ville De Lyon' clem is quite striking. Would love to have one of those. Yes, get rid of more grass!!!!!

Celeste, that 'Midnight Prairie Blues' baptiesia is a real beauty! I have the 'Starlight PB', and just love it. Also have B. 'Purple Smoke' and B. 'Solar Flare'. I'm absolutely in awe of 'SF'! Just a stunning plant. Mine is about 4 years old now, and in its glory. Is that Lithodora I see among your blue plants, and some type of Veronica, the blue spires? Lovely! Also love the 'Arnold Red' honeysuckle and 'Serendipity Elf' dwarf bearded iris. Oh, and what variety is that beautiful purple Verbascum? Hosta 'On Stage' is on my wish list. Your lupines are sumptuous! Is that white flower in with the creeping phlox perhaps some kind of Linum (flax)?

Bill, I love all your alliums, and that hosta 'First Frost' is stunning! Your peonies are beautiful. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who loses plants because I didn't get them planted.

Karen

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Karen! The giant columbines are sold in garden centers in 4 paks, at least thats how I bought mine 4 years ago. I am surprised they are still alive as they usually dont go beyond a couple of years.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

1) Flax
2)Creeping Veronica, Speedwell 'Georgia Blue'
3)Creeping Speedwell 'Crater Lake Blue'
4)' Grace Ward'

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

1) noid TBI
2) 'Little Rock Celebrity"
3.) TBI 'Quaker Lady'
4.) IB 'Concertina'
5.) Noid
