don't know what the dots are.. I get them on something every year though .. if you find out let me know.. I never see anything on them

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh those foxgloves might be from you Bill.. or from last years swap.. I planted a ton of seed & plants there from that swap

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Don't think I'll get a chance to go, Lucy, but thanks for letting me know.

Can't believe all the rain you guys in NJ and PA are getting. We've been getting enough, but not too much.

I get that damage, too, Jen, and I think it's some sort of beetle, but I don't know what it is. I get that problem on agastache and lemon balm, as well as Shasta daisy.

thank you JoAnn

I wish I was getting the rain everyone else is getting. Somehow I think my town has a sign that says to the rain clouds- keep going don't rain here. It's is maddening! It's in the air, just not falling to the ground.

Very nice, Allison

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

We need rain too.Passing storms last 10 minutes.Hardly worth it.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Congrats on the BOTD pic, Celeste! So pretty!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Nice. I'm not familiar with the NcKennas giant columbine. Are they well behaved?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Jo your poppies are lovely!!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

These seem to be.
Around here they were sold as a 4 pak of mixed. The 2 that are still living and doing well are the pale yellow and the orange.
The lower branches flop a bit in the heat. There is no telling what these will do after this mild winter.

Thomaston, CT

Some great looking photos, ladies! Weeze, I thought America as well, so I'll go with that.....some blooms from today.....Roses Strawberry Hill & Honey Perfume, dianthus Arctic Fire, noid iris, & a noid sib.......

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Rosemary your peonies are lovely. I've been drooling over 'Coral Charm' for over a year now.....I need it!!

Beautiful!!!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it's coral reef... so excited there are finally blooms on them!!!.. brought a bunch to the swap that year.. hope you guys have some too!!

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Most rhodis are finished here, so peony, iris salvia and hardy geranium are the main show at the moment, with weeds vying for attention. Peonies are really early this year, and more blooming at once than normally. I think Coral Charm is a must-have peony, but if one doesn't love it, it's hard to eradicate because it is so vigorous.

Lexington, MA(Zone 6a)

Love the poppy color. Poppies seem pretty far from blooming yet here, or else I haven't learned how to stimulate them enough.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

this is the first year mine have looked good.. well until all this rain came.. I had to stake up my Manhattan buds up yesterday.. just taking a beating with all this rain

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Beautiful blooms Rosemary. I love peonies but after all the rain we had this year I'm hesitant to add more. I was lucky to get one bouquet.
I've never had any luck with poppies, either bought started or from seeds. I had a great double peach one year, and never saw a sign of it again. Scattered many seeds and nothing...is there a secret to them?

RD love the roses!

Jen your yard must look great, you have so much blooming!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ronnie, poppy seeds like it to be cold (40's &50's) when you first put them out. The best trick is to take a rake and drag it across the dirt. Then sprinkle the poppy seeds. Pat down with your palm so that they can't be blown away by the wind and they come into contact with the dirt...DO NOT COVER THEM.
I may not have any annuals ones this year....waited to long to spread them, it was already above 55 when I sprinkled. :(
