Jen, Karen was asking about the photos I had posted on the 29th above...was just posting the different ones as I hadn't done when posting the pics.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I noticed today DLs I just planted have buds......great color on those lilies!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

I think this is Russian Rhapsody, color is a little different than the catalog pic but the closest out of the others I bought

What would have eaten the bud off this lily? It's 3 1/2' tall, in a fenced in area, nothing else around it was crushed so I'm thinking it wasn't an animal

Hydrangea

Allison, it's in the middle of my blue, yellow and white garden with the bamboo all around it how would they have gotten in there without trampling everything over?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Bunnys will eat them too Jen.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

They are very good at avoiding other things. Their little hooves are small. I had most of mine eaten.

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Gorgeous Poppy Allison! Jen love the lilies, some of mine are open too.
Celeste the Iris are beautiful!

Orange Electric Lily, new for me from a co-op.

I found the top of one of my lilies cut off & uneaten in the middle of the driveway....I suspect squirrels....love the colors on the hydrangeas & Vagabond, and that poppy.....took these photos yesterday as it's pouring out right now! Iris Fall Fiesta, another really almost black blooming for the first time, astrantia, and I think the digitalis came from Pam......

Amazing, I don't have any foxgloves this year except for the perennial grandiflora. One Pam's Choice from last year is just starting to make a stalk I think, but that's it. Maybe too much moving things around and heavy mulching in the fall? I'll have to plan ahead better this year. What's the best way? Sow seed outside now, or later in the summer? Or in pots? Hmmm...

Woburn, MA(Zone 6b)

The indigo columbine I found growing volunteer under a tree. I'm wondering if it is a wild columbine.

Bloody Cranesbill, Philadelphus, Columbines, Scabiosa Butterfly Blue.

I'm wondering if I collect the Butterfly Blue seeds if they were sprout true to their original plant? I"ve been dead heading the flowers and drying them.

I don't have many foxgloves this year either, Pam....a few pink, & 2 whites.....Xen, wild columbine in New England is red & yellow....guess your seed blew in from someone's garden....don't know about the scabious, you can try, though.....

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

More gorgeous blooms, everyone! I need more stuff for this time of year.

Celeste, thanks for the ID's on those plants I was asking about.

I love the 'Orange Electric' lily! I've been wanting that one. Might have to get it if I make some money soon selling plants.

Marilyn, I love that 'Fall Fiesta' iris and the astrantia.

Great pic of Henry in the tree, Jen.

Here are some pics I took in my gardens on May 29th. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.466889393337763.127076.100000501200615&type=3&l=3174ad48c5

I'm enjoying everyones lovely gardens. For reasons I don't understand, I can send photos to my journal, and to the Plantfiles, but still not to any discussion thread. Will have to contact the administrators I guess.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

there is a thread..

the answer was to resize your photos smaller before uploading... I wasn't happy with that answer.. but that's what they said

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

They made me resize bigger. Dont know what gives.

I finally got an ID on my jumbo hosta.
Does anyone remember Redchick?
She sent me this the first year 2008. I think of her everytime I see it.
Many have named it Elegans from the sieboldiana group

Miss Redchic

Shelly and her Scottish Fold kitty....I've always called that hosta Big Mama....my son frowns upon that name...tough! The salix is a beauty....I've seen a few around here, but not that size.....

Norwich, CT(Zone 6a)

It is nice looking at everyone's pictures and reading your comments. I got about 20 new perennials, this year so far.
Has anyone tried the new hardy gardenia for zone 6?
Also, you keep mentioning that you get plants from each other over the years. Do you get together and bring plants to trade? Please let me know what you do.
It is good to read about the ones you prize the most, that makes me want to try them also.
Rose
