I have that poppy with about 20 buds on it, only had 3 last year. I love it.
Garden Gem May 2012 #2
Its amazing what a year will make. I composted my gardens last fall and saw the winter crowns eaten to the ground in Feb. I cant believe how much bigger the plants are and many more blooms.
Keep it going Deb.
Good to know what Celeste posted about poppy seeds. Cowardly me has only tried them from the nursery thus far.
Love seeing the blooms! RD, the contrast of the iris with the white fence is very pretty. I'm curious about all clematis blooms. They're on my list for another year. My "improved" jackmanii has fairly anemic yellow leaves. I wonder if it's too close to a cement fence foundation.
I love lacecaps. My LemonWave isnt too happy this year.
very pretty RD.. love the noids!!.. love that lace cap Jan.. I keep checking my blackberry.. so far none but it looks pretty good
So happy I received my first lacecap at the swap last week
Love the color on that clem ville de lyon
Ronnie, my gardens are so spread out it doesn't look like much to me, if I had a smaller yard it would probably make a bigger statement. I am working on plans for my next garden, need to get rid of more grass ☺
agreed!!!.. I know I would!!!
more shots for today

Memory yeah!!.. I have blackberries forming too!!!.. thank you Victor for telling me about little henry.. such a cutie!!!
Jen, middle photo looks like butterfly bush.....Allison, great yellow on that iris! Rosemary, good year for clems...I suspect the mild winter....
Oo, ya Robin, I did dig up a volunteer bb from almost that same area last year, thanks
my BB has different leaves than that
Thanks Celeste, I'll try that next year. Pretty Baptisia!
Love the feverfew Jan always a favorite of mine.
Nice looking blooms Allison, love the poppy!
Def more purple than the blue I was looking for
Pretty, Pixie.
I am a sucker for daisy-like flowers. Never noticed the fragrance before on the feverfew, sad to say. It is very pleasant. Sure wish my nose would work better.

Middle pic close enough to bb....I'll dig it up and pot it up and see what blooms
always the story.. more purple than blue
:(
Other colors..
1 & 2) Honeysuckle 'Arnold Red'
3) 'China Peach'
4) 'Serendipity Elf'
5) Historic Iris.....this one is older than me. :) Came from my Grandmothers, when I was approx. 7, I dug it up and planted it at my parents. When my Mom sold the house I dug some up and moved them here to South China.
that honeysuckle is cool
you know I love that coleus!!.. you believe my snow in summer is dead???
That coleus is such an eye catcher!! No, can't believe it ...fried maybe? LOL
Not sure what this is called...can not remember to save my life. Anyways...it bloomed last year the same time as the creeping phlox so I mixed them last year and this is what I got. Thinking of doing the entire slop like this!!
Love that iris JO!! That allium is neat!!!!!!!!!!
All of those look great.
Is there something to do to get Siberian iris to bloom?
They need plenty of sun.I started feeding my 2 yearolds every 3 weeks all season. I used Miracle-gro for acid loving plants and the stalks and blooms trippled.
Thats what I did.Maybe it will work for you.
nice colors all!
WOW, looking great Celeste
