Pegi, that is great news!
۞Sweet Interruptions # 241۞
I can't praise and thank God enough for that piece of good news from you Pegi.
Such a big load off both your shoulders. Can I dare say that Darwin's smiling away? Off to healing and a better tomorrow, sistah!
Betty, you're getting good company there!! And you get to see little Jonathan! Am glad that Cookie will tag along with them.
It will be a nice mini vacation for them all!
Morning, great news Pegi!! One step closer to good health..
Good morning all!! I am getting sicker by the minute now that reality is setting in about not being able to go to Betty's. I wanna go!!!!!!
I did notice the difference in DH when I told him the news about the medication. I'm sure he was depressed as he just wanted to stay in bed all day. I've been in a depression and that is just what I did, climbed in bed and pulled the covers over my head. Not a good place to be. Can't wait to get the card they sent me to the oncologist so the process can begin. Hope this med. will be the miracle one to keep him going for a very long time.
So glad you and your DH have some relief from the med finances, Pegi!! Now you can move on, and he can get the help he needs
Come to my ark, Marion, and we'll ride the disappointment waves togethter! Kel kept telling me, the optimist he is.. that things might change.. but I told him the calendar doesn't lie :(
It's gonna be the most talked about gathering on DG for sure, Betty!
Aww Pegi... what you and Darwin are going through it's not possible to remain on the upbeat 24/7. Even the pope has his doubts about the state of the world!
Lord has removed that financial mountain, and for sure we won't quit praying for Darwin's healing.
LK, how's Jim today?
As you all can guess, it's raining again. I was so bored last night that I ate an apple pie, 2 boxes of Pita chips, a half a pound of roast beef, 3 whole potates and half a bag of carrots. Oh also one whole Hershey's Milk and Cookies.
All stemmed from not being able to do anything physically inside and outside!! I know, it's not good for my back putting on added weight.
Will do better today, think I'll just cook some carrot soup, with no cream.
Might clean out my colons too.
Have a good Tuesday sistahs.
Jaye, I think our tears would float the ark. We are in need of some of the rain...getting so dry now and having to water so as not to lose what I have planted......and the squirrels haven't eaten. I have never had this much problem before with squirrels but all the impatiens I plant, they eat!!! Nothing seems to be working in the way of a deterrent. Just resort to squirrel and brown gravy very soon.
I was so bummed out about not being able to go to Europe that I had a small cherry pie for lunch, dinner and bedtime snack. Today I will behave---dull at that is.
Never tried squirrels.. don't do it Marion. Think of rodents and brown gravy.. that will deter you.
Imagine, Kim will be feasting on Italian gelatos and Provencal calissons. How dare she and you having to make do with apple pie!!
Are you sure you're living in Florida, Marion? It's normally wet aroung this time of the year. Last year you had enough rains for the whole nation!
My cats outside are getting to be good at swimming!!!
Yikes, squirrel soup, count me out!!
Let's just say Jaye I will do my utmost to make everyone feel welcome and at home..
Already overwhelmed when I look at my place..no mansion, just a little country home..flowers are either already in bloom, some won't be in bloom so I talk to them every morning as I do my walk-a-bout and say, please please wait to bloom until the 28th lol then comes worrying about the weather..lordy, lots to worry about isn't there?
See more squirrels than normal here but not having them eat in my gardens as yet! Hopefully they will move on the greener pastures.
Torrential rains all weekend, overcast today, calling for rain almost all week..sure do need to cut the grass! Sure do miss Cathy a friend who lives down the street and keeps an eye on the furries..she has blood clots and is off her feet, drats, usually my grass is nicely cut and only whipper snapper needs done by me..
So sorry Marion that you did not get to go to Europe, know how special that would have been for you..sending you hugs..
Marion, sprinkle some cayenne pepper around your plants. I have heard it will not hurt the plants, but is supposed to deter the little varmits! You may need to put a feeder up to keep them fed, so they don't raid your garden.

This was just posted on face book about 5 minutes ago from my Sister in law. So glad to hear the good news, and praying the test will come out good!
Jim is doing real well this morning... they have done a sonogram of his heart and they will be sending hin down for an MRI soon. they expect to release him today as long as they don't find anything bad.
LOL, actually squirrel smothered in brown gravy is very good. Never tried them in soup Betty.
LK I have had no luck using the cayenne pepper on things and I do have 4 feeders scattered over the yard with their food in them. These squirrels are just plain "BAD"!!!!!!!!
Jaye, we might some some rain today as we have been put under a severe weather alert for the rest of this afternoon. We shall see what develops--hopefully rain and no bad weather.
LK - SO glad that Jim's doing well!!!
(((((Marion))))))) - Europe would have been a wonderful trip for you, sorry you're not able to go....
squirrel in brown gravy? ........... Nope, not my type of food.... would think of Disney characters...... yikes!! I can't eat rabbit either (poor Thumper!!)
Rain..... we have it here - got a real Boomer last night, lit up the entire bedroom! Supposed to rain for the next few days, and be nice & sunny on Thursday, then back to rain.......
I must say, we love the rain here, but was supposed to be sunny today and I was going to garden at Marlene's place but that's not to be. At least not today......
Is Cathy taking something to break the clots? Wishing her a speedy recovery, so she can get back to doing what she loves.
Betty, it's you the sistahs want to see. The house and gardens are just 'coincidentals'.
Marion, in a way I'm glad that Ruby Slipper has postponed its' journey here. She'd be a wet mush for sure.
Moving us to a new room...
