Kel just called me and that everything's fine! Thank you Lord!
LK, you're lucky. Wonder if our town's WM would do the same?
Beats making boxes.
They are so pretty LK. You need to post that in the RWB swap!
۞Sweet Interruptions # 241۞
Oops cross posted there.
Yes LK, he said, there's another one right behind him, and they opened the doors for them.
He's already on their first break!! Lol!
When I went to the automotive department, I ask one of the workers, how I could buy some of the old tires, he told me go inside and find the manager. When I found her, I told her what I was going to do with them, and she told me to just take them, as they already charge the customers a fee for disposal. So I took 3, and she told me to come back and take all I needed! I might do a few more!
Almost forgot, that it's a court appt. for our Sue today.
Hmmm wonder if the WM here will let me have some tires...........................
Forgot to say.......I picked my first bunch of strawberries out of my tire planters....mmmmm so sweet and juicy ^_^
Never hurts to ask Cindy. Maybe you know a mechanic at a garage or an automotive dealership somewhere, go ask them?
I've been oohing and ahhhing over glass totems for so long, but only made one I called my glass lady. Didn't know where to put her outside so she still is sitting inside collecting dust. So much talent in all these threads.
Thinking of Sue today, pray that is isn't too stressful for her. Three hours difference in time so things should be underway by now.
Going to be a little cooler today which I will enjoy.
My later sleeper (DH) just got up and asked if after he has breakfast he can go back to bed. Just pushing his luck!!
My day thus far....................took both dogs for a walk, did the dishes, then bathed both dogs and put Advantage on them, cleaned the bathroom, cleaned up doggie doo doo out of back yard, sprayed backed yard for bugs, now heading to craft room to make RW&B candle, and start on can windchime.
Doug's day...............on the pc playing golf, since he woke up at 8 am GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
We are suppose to go on a ride Saturday to honor Vets, think I'll pack my bags go to my mom's beings we are leaving early Sunday morning to visit my brother

(((((((((((Sue)))))))))) here's keeping you in my thoughts and prayers today for the trial....................
Sorry, photo was meant for red/white/blue swap...
Awwwww Cindy thank you , I have wished a million times over that we lived closer,I would love to see, hug, and kiss you ,boy could we ever have fun (or get into trouble, which would still be a blast.....LOL) . I'd be happy just setting on the porch drinking margaritas !!!!!!!!
Betty it is on my bucket list to someday get back to Canada and I will make it a point to stop and see your beautiful face!!! I have only been to Canada once and that was 15 years ago !
Good Lord I feel sorry for Rick because I have told him about you all and how bad I'd love to meet all of you and that he has to be my driver! I've told him I want to start at the far eastern coast and make to the west coast and zig zagging north and south in between, plus I want a trip to Jamaica!!!!!
Linda Kay Love the RW&B Tires !!!!
Jaye thank goodness Kel made it safe and sound and in time !!!
Poor Sue my heart goes out to her so much ,no one , especially not a mother ♥ should EVER have to go through this !!!!!!
Oh Synda, GF I know we would get into TROUBLE lol ^_^ yes margaritas on the porch sounds heavenly. But then just being able to spend time with any one of my "sistahs" would be heavenly. I so want to meet all of you. We really do need to plan one HUGE reunion!!!!! Like the cruise in 2015.....................................
Doug wants to go to Jamaica too. His step daughter went there for her honeymoon. A cabana boy brought them a cocktail while sitting on the beach. She tipped him $10, lol he told his buddies about the Americans that give big tips................they were swamped with willing cabana boys. She then found out she had actually given him $750 tip, yup $.75 to the dollar there ( I guess that's how you say it)
Susan,
It gets windy here too a lot!! Too much for my liking, I hate being dizzy. Anyhooooooooooooooo, I am going to mosaic the bottom of each plate on the underside too make it heavy, then fill the vases with sand for more weight they won't blow over then!!!!!!
LOL Synda,
You were busy on Pinterest pinning FOOD!!!!!!! I usually go straight to Gardening, but noticed you pinned so started looking.....BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! OMG the shrimp recipes are to die for!!!! Now I gotta have some lunch you made me hungry, lol.
wow - $750?!?!?! No wonder they think Americans are RICH lol
It's kinda hard to compare wind velocity, but as it's a dry, hard wind, it just seems worse. heck the poor evergreens have the tops all "wonky" because of the way they grow in the wind - all "this way and that way" in each tree LOL
they remind me of the little "charlie brown christmas trees" LOL
LOL ......Pinterest pinning FOOD......I love recipes !!!!!!! I told you I can spend hours on there !!!!!
Cindy when you put the glass totem pole together and fill with sand bond each piece with the next with clear silicone.
Or you can use #E6000 glue, found at Wal-Mart in the craft department. That glue is great for all projects. I did manage to give one dog a bath and that was enough for me. My mini-schnauzer is a wild one and hates water so I dread getting her in the tub.
Still nothing about the applications I sent in to see if we qualify for financial aid for meds. DH is suppose to take. Each day I go to the mailbox hoping for some news.
Good morning sistahs.
Coffee or hot chocolate, your choice.
How about some danish to go with that?
Betty, you're not in the 'wrong' room! You know you're always welcome to show your lovelies here! After all, we need some visual suggestions!
How much would a cruise cost, Cindy?
Yep, I can testify to Synda loving food. We can talk for hours just on food :D
Pegi, Lord's making a way for Darwin to get his meds. Like you, we want him healed.
The weather today is supposed to be like yesterday. Loomy, stormy, rainy.
Should I be upset? Not really, as long as this will make up for a hurricane! Don't want that or a tornado!
Yes, the leaves on my plants are yellowing but last year, spring was dry and continued till summer which kill many. Can't seem to leave them watered enough.
I hope God gives me a few hours of dry clouds so I can weedeat.
So sistahs, if it's not sewing, it's weedeating for me.
What's your agenda for today?
Susan, you've finished with painting fabric yet?
Crissy.. hello!! HELLO!! I miss you!
Morning everyone! Thanks for the breakfast Jaye!
I just glued some terracotta pots together to make a plant stand, and I use a clear liquid nails silicone. That stuff is strong. It takes a day to dry, but you better make sure your pieces are where you want them. I'll get a picture later today when the flowers open.
I have purslane it the pot, and they open in the afternoon!
Pegi, Praying you hear some news soon. Maybe you need to call them and jog their memory?
Good Morning Ladies,
I love food too, and ya can tell just by looking at me ^_^
Jaye, I don't know. I guess it would all depend on where & when. Something to "research" lol
Synda, I got some stuff called loctite an outdoor adhesive
Pegi - here's hoping you hear soon re: application!!
Well, got a call from employment agency, and I start on Tuesday, for 2-3 weeks at a temp position (no chance of perm), with the base wage I can work for - great eh? It's for Emergency Medical Services as an Admin Ass't in their office close to home.
That is good news Susan! Even if it is for a few weeks!
Cindy - looks like some sort of orchid?!?!
More good news!! Bob Just got a call re: working interview - he's to go on Monday 8am to work with someone on a house (last guy's last day is today, not 1 month ago as was originally set......... or maybe it's someone that didn't work out?!?! dunno).
Anyway, Bob's to bring some tools and I think ladders, and they'll see how he works out. If yes, then he has a job! It's exterior work, so I don't have any more details. Bob had seen this guy working and Bob figured he should probably work at what he's been doing for years before, rather than go with Warehouse that he's only done for 3 years......
Wonderful news there Susan!! Wonderful!! Even for a couple of weeks, Lord's making sure you're not too 'rusty' for work.
Great on Bob too. Hoping this is it for him!
The leaves look like palm frond, but the flower resembles an orchid, Cindy.

I googled and learnt that the Cymbidium orchid has palm looking leaves.
These are what some of the blooms look like. Except for the color, some throat are similar to yours Cindy.
http://www.cymbidium.org/gallery.html
Hmm interesting....I love orchids but have no luck with growing them
Think I'll go to plant forum see what other answers I get
Thanks Ladies!!!!
It's called Tigridia pavonia
http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/559/
That's good to know, Cindy. Since it's a bulb, you'll get many, manyb more!
Thanks Betty - hope this is IT for him & I
I'm also going on Monday @ 8:30 to update my profile with another agency. Seeing as how I'm starting work on Tuesday 8:30, I have time on Monday - kewl, eh?
Good luck Susan.
Thanks much, Jaye!!
Boy, did I ever pull a "DUH" cooking moment.....
was trying a new recipe - Chicken & Salsa
"put 2-3 cups Minute Rice in the bottom of a glass baking dish, put chicken pieces on top, then 1" of salsa. Put grated
cheese on top of all, and bake 35-45 min @ 350F"
Well, didn't "see" the MINUTE RICE part, and used regular rice...... for full time. Rice didn't cook (of course), and neither did the chicken!!! dunno why that was........ AND I forgot to put the cheese on, but that's a flavour, not Required. Anyway, the chicken is totally raw. Going to let the dish cool, put it in the fridge (covered) and cook tomorrow. So weird, eh?
I'm not used to using Minute Rice so never even looked at that..... so used to having regular rice.
Well, I at least had cooked corn on the cob, so we had That to eat.
We're heading off to Movie Night in 25 min, so no time to cook dinner now......
Boy am I feeling silly!!!!!!!
Thank God for corn eh Susan. Good thing that Bob didn't complain.
No Minute Rice in this house neither, so any recipes that require MR, would have been ignored by me.
Morning sistahs.
Fresh brew's ready. Buttered toasts and sausage patties this morning.
Will be a busy Saturday if the rains don't come, out there in the gardens. I don't trust the weatherman. 50% of the forecasts are always wrong.
You ladies, have a wonderful and relaxing Saturday!
Wow!! Bringing back memories here.
Managed to celebrate Janice's b'day when we're at BJ's.
Happy Birthday Janice! Wishing you a good day, lots of love shown by your family and above all, continued good health.
This is taken this morning. See me in the reflection.
I didn't cut Serendipity down (thank God for that thought), dug her up and left her in a pot, overwintering in the house. She gave me her first flush.
Jaye, she is so pretty!
