That's my only named pink one left, LK.
These brugs are truly divas. I'm sticking to weeds!!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Happy Birthday, Janice!!!!!!

Jaye - Serendipity is beautiful!! I can't seem to "keep" brugs...... going to plant some more Dats this year :-)

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dropping in with birthday wishes Janice,

here's hoping we can share a birthday cake end of June!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy Birthday Janice - looking forward to Fall.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Curious mind want to know, what's planned in fall, Barb? You'd be meeting Janice?
If you are, I can tell you that Janice is a very warm and interesting woman.

If I were to be lucky enough to be at your gathering Betty, I'd certainly celebrate an early birthday! Oh just being there wouldn't need any candle blown!

Weeded some more, after returning from the food store and having lsupper at a fish fry.
My legs gave out on me for the first time, in a very long time!
I think I'm overdoing it. Just trying to take advantage of the weather.
It's so embarrassing, to be so lucky to have a vast area where I can plant to my heart's content, and yet I cannot maintain it.
Oh well.. how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time, right?
So.. one weed at a time for this old gal.

Bonnie's finally fully opened and about more than 1 foot across!

Jaye, that is stunning! Bet she smells good?

Can anyone ID these for me? I just bought them at home depot, but there was no tag. I know the yellow flowers are million bells, but I don't know the blue flowers, or pretty green leaves? This is the plant stand I made also, with terra cotta pots, then spray painted.
Second picture is a close up of the flowers.

New swap just opened, come and check it out! Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

The blue flowers look like lobelia to me but I'm not positive. Very pretty Linda.

This fall, Janice and her family have decided to vacation in NH. She had asked a while ago if I could recommend some places to go while they are here. We are hoping to have a day together.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I agree - the blue look like lobelia. The green leaves look familiar, but not sure?

Barb - that would be awsome to see Janice! Hope you do - and give her a "dragon" hug for me lol (seeing as how she likes dragons lol )

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the plant ID ladies, that is what is is.

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready, french toast and crispy bacon!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Happy Birthday Cindy! Hope you have a great day!

You are so talented LK. Love that pot stand and the transformation of the treadle stand.
I found a treadle bottom, and the guy at the junkyard wanted $100 for it! No way!

Barb, I know you will 'guide' Janice to a couple of quilt stores.

I love that cake, LK!!! Purple butterflies are the greatest!

Happy birthday dearest Cindy.
May your day today be one continous blessing, just like you're a blessing to us all here. Love you, sistah!

Missed church today. Back and legs are out of whack!!
Last night, I was in so much pain that took not one but 2 painkillers (two hrs. apart, instead of waiting for 4 hrs.)
Then I had to take an anti anxiety pill. But no anti depressant. That's one way to put you to sleep early.

Woke up this morning groggy, good thing I'm not doing anything grand for today. Oh wait.. Sis LK is grilling for us. Thank you!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sorry your not doing well Jaye! Have you considered a chiropractor? Hope your feeling better soon!

That is a lot of money, just for the base!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Every junk sold at Myrtle Beach is incredibly high priced LK.
It's been a while since we've gone to an auction house. Think the last time was 4 years ago.
We cannot compete with the 'vintage' and 'used' stores bidders!
Ain't that ridiculous? Some collectables are auctioned off higher than eBay. I wish we live close to Atlanta where the prices are decent, and we can enjoy auctions again.

Kel is home, so he can apply that liquid heat on my back. That had worked on my ankle.
When I'm on a tight budget, seeing a chiro is luxury for me. Before I see one, Kel needs to be realigned first :D

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Happy Birthday Cindy and many many more.

Time to check on the garden, I'm getting lazier all the time. DH still sleeping so he will be having brunch instead of breakfast. He turns on the electric blanket for all his aches and pains and he says it helps.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Happy Birthday, Cindy!! Hope your day is a happy, blessed one!! Enjoy Your Day!!!!!!!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pegi, that's a good idea!
If it bothers me again tonight, I shall take out the electric blanket. So far the heating oil helps.

AW Thanks Ladies,

I celebrated my birthday yesterday. A bunch of us got together and rode in a poker run. It was a benefit ride for Veterans. We rode 100 miles all together. Had a Tri-Tip BBQ, with baked beans, potato salad and a roll. I play better poker online, lol. That chubby gal in the purple bandana is me, and my newest friend Sheri. I met her last summer on a birthday ride. She lives about 23 miles from me. She is the one with the pool and boat. She wants me to come to her house and plant some flowers. Told me she'd pay me, told her "No, I'll just use your pool alot, lol" She is going to come down some mornings and go walking with me and the dogs. She has two Jack Russels.

Then this morning mom and I spent the morning visiting with my brother. His birthday is tomorrow he will be 63. This picture of us is one of the best pictures we have ever taken on our birthday.

Purple butterfly on your shirt and helmet.. Do you like purple butterflies? LOL!
Love those pictures!

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Cindy - you look fabulous! and LOVE the butterflies!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh lol I didn't even notice my helmet in the pic. Sheri's helmet is BLING!!!! Lots of red and clear rhinestones, looks really pretty. She wants her friend to bling my butterflies, lol. She told me she got me a gift when she was in Europe, but she forgot it yesterday. Oh well, I'll be seeing her again soon

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

awwwwwww how sweet that she got you a gift while in Europe! Ya gotta tell us what it is, when you find out!!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Happy belated birthday Cindy. Glad it was a good one for you. Loved the pictures...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, you're beautiful girl! Guess if you could morph into a next life, it would be a purple butterfly eh?
It's always wonderful to make new great friends, and I'm glad that you're having one that's not too far from you. A pool would be great for aquatic aerobics.

Good morning sistahs. How about some chilled chocolate milkshake? Sugar free!! Yes I'm crazy this morning, just feel like something cool since it's already in the 80s outside. Thank God, I've watered all the potted plants and the next few hours, I'll be inside the house!
No heavy lifting for the next few days to give my back a rest, and not sitting too long at one time. Don't want to aggravate it.
It doesn't help when I have a bad posture. Yes, the weight of my breasts pull the spine down! Lol!!
When I remember to 'shoulder up'..straighten back.. a few minutes later.. back to stooping as I can feel the lower part of my back getting tense!

May your Monday be a good one, sistahs.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

tired - been to an employment agency to get tested and interviewed - took 3 hours!!...... then of course 2 hours on the bus (they're downtown, and I'm not paying $45 for parking!!!!)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's a lot for parking! But then you live in a big, metropolitan city.
Thank God, there's public transportation for you Susan.

Good morning sistahs. There's coffee and doughnuts for this Tuesday morning.
Watered the plants, perfectly dry it had been for the past 3 days, and I hope it will continue today.
Can't play outside though, gotta give this back at least a week's rest.
But won't be idle in the house neither. Kids got to be fed, groomed and food microwaved!
Plus, I have to rip a whole row of quilting stitches... 66" X 15"... wishing now a sistah here could come down with her seam ripper!! Lol!!

Was it a good day for my sistahs yesterday? Hope you had a grand celebration with family or friends.

I was very surprised Kel treated me to a nice country buffet. Wish I had brought my camera, there was a strawberry shortcake dessert on the bar, with fresh blueberries strewn on it. Perfect RWB cake!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Jaye, I can send you my razor I use for ripping out seams! Wish I was closer to help.
Glad to hear you had a good feast at the buffet.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crying here, LK!! Wish they're seams!! Razor would massacre the row!! They're top decorative quilting stitches! I pondered over that last night, didn't like them.. and you know us women!!

Well I'll be. The weatherman is wrong again. It's raining! :(

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Practice makes perfect Jaye! So sorry you have to rip out the top stitching.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The stitches were automated, just didn't like how they turned out after the WHOLE row's completed!! Should have stuck to my first choice!
I'm so indecisive, LK, Got to learn to trust myself.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Enough about my 'sewing perils'.
This too shall soon pass!

Sue, if you're lurking, I'm sorry to read about your aunt. Jessie would be showing her around and they'd both rejoice in celebrating eternal life with our Lord.
Good luck to Tim on his new job. Again, wishing you ease of mind as the days go by.
((((((((((Sue))))))))))))

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Ladies,
Today was a laid back "got nothing done day", lol. We took the "girls" and went to the river for a couple of hours. Water was COLD!!!!!! but they enjoyed it. Then Amy spotted a bird..........off she went and of course Harlee went after her to bring her back. They went way out of site. I was having a fit!!! There were some people further down the river with two huge dogs. And Amy and Harlee are so friendly that they walk right up to them.

Sunday when I was up at my mom's I got these pics of my Lilies. I know I have a cd with all the names, but I can't find it.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Cindy - those are gorgeous. So very pretty and the colors are really vibrant this year....

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Beautiful blooms Cindy! Glad the dogs came back!
Coffee is ready. Orange sweet rolls to go with.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Thanks for breakfast, LK.
Thanks for the pics to start the day, Cindy. The Orientals and Asiatics are early this year for me too. Love their scent.
That's pretty scary to watch your dogs unprotected from other dogs. Thank God no harm come to them.

How are you feeling Barb?

Guess what kind of a day I'm having today. Yes, rainy. My back is much better and am thinking of weeding. All these rains may benefit the plants but they're manna to the dandelions!

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)
