Good morning sistahs.
Marion, have a safe trip and may your time there be a good one. Hugs and prayers for your mum and sister as well.
Coffee and sour dough toasts with marmalade. Do I need 2 cups of coffee this morning!
۞Sweet Interruptions # 241۞
Morning Jaye, thanks for the new room! You beat me up this morning! I slept till 7:30, and I hardly ever so that!
Marion, have a safe trip!
You needed the sleep LK. Can't be active all the time!
You're just as human as us!!! Or getting old.
As promised yesterday to explain the buzz.
Sunday was a very confusing day.
At church, I was surprised to see Kelvin's step daughter in one of the front pews. She's already a member of a church in our town, so I thought she's just visiting.
What's shocking was when Kelvin told me that probably she's there because her second job brings her closer to the pastor's wife! You know how Lord discloses things to you at the right moment?
Well, my DH slipped when he added that she's also active in calling MIL almost daily.
There are no issues between her and I, in fact, I've always been supportive of her and will press Kel to be good to her. Divorce doesn't mean total alienation of the ones you once loved.
So the uncertainty is, why now? Is she a pawn? Was she pestered to 'join' the church to check up on me?
Hmmm..
I'm just glad that for the years I've been with this church (my second), I never once complained of my MIL's abusive nature. Nor do I ever bring her name up in any prayer requests.
Only "public" place I vent is here. And that took me after a few years of SI.
Another reason, I'm wary of her intention is that, Kel's ex was private messaging him on FB. Little does she know that I have access to his account (with his permission). Kel never entertains her, but she's persistent. It stopped when a dear sistah started to be active on Kel's page!
During that time too, his stepdaughter sent messages too. Oh just mundane stuffs, nothing for me to worry about. But then, she could have just posted the same harmless greetings on his page, right?
So.. with doubts circling my head and I can't discuss this with him (men are dumb that way), and I'm too stubborn to give them all to the Lord, I opened a bottle of my reserve Cabernet, and now you know why the buzz yesterday!!
Maybe it's the Lord's plan to show her that I am a Christian, and not to mess with me!!
It sure gives you something to think about and wonder why now?
If it were me, I would come right out and ask what's going on? Confront him, or her, and see what happens!

Thanks for the new room, Jaye
Buzzy Buzzy buzz buzz buzz buzz buzz...........
Jaye - take a deep breath, and leave it in the Lord's hands.
Good thing that 1. you've always been supportive of Kel's SD 2. you've never complained about your MIL at the church. and most importantly 3. You're A Christian!
Marion - have a safe trip!
LK, the human side of me want to do that.
I'm glad I waited a day, as today, I know the Lord is showing how foolish they are.
Since I've completely surrendered MIL to Jesus, I'm not on depression meds anymore. Don't want to break that gift, by fighting all over again.. over useless people.
As for Kel, he really is over his former life. That man is too transparent and knows that to lose me, is to lose a rich life. I'm the only person in his life that believes in him and never ridicules his hobby nor dreams.
One good thing is 1/4 of the church members know his MIL and had altercations with her :D So.. maybe it's the Lord's way to remove his stepdaughter from her evil clutches, LK?
That's the thought I'm holding to. All things that's transpiring in my life right now, is God design.
Susan, yes, I don't talk bad nor complain about anyone in church. You'd be surprise what gossip goes on, on the church grounds! Neither do I ever stop Kelvin from making prayer requests for his parents.
The old me would have been blabbering in anger. But I have prayed for my tongue to be controlled, and He has so far!! Amen to that!!
I guess I'm far too transparent to not "vent" to my church family, and I wish I could hold my tongue the way you do. When I'm hurt, I share.
Sure, I'm able to dispense advice, but show ot actually take it myself....... As someone said on Sunday (a man, natch!) 'women's tongues are hinged in the middle' He'd be talking about me lol
It's not that I gossip, cuz I don't, but most people in the church knows how I'm doing right now. I'm sure they're tired of hearing it.
No, I wouldn't be surprised what gossip goes on in the church...... and I'm not talking about this church - I stopped going to a church in Winnipeg because on my first visit I heard about the "little peyton place" it was....... yikes - First Visit?!?!?!
Good for you, to not be on depression meds, and to recognize it's a gift from God. Useless people, indeed - not worth your anguish.
Good for you too, for your strong faith and belief in Kel - you're a blessed couple, indeed!
michael came home and found annie in the house following me around. he shook his head and is now in the back yard talking to himself
LOL well Michael, guess you're stuck with Annie following Kathy around lol
I know it's hard to find a perfect church Sue. So far, I've stayed with this the longest since my move here.
Tell that man in church when you next see him that in James (somewhere) it's stated that no man can tame his tongue!! Lol!
Goodness sis Kathy. Just tell Michael that you're training Anne to appear for a tv show ;)

James 3:8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
That's Bob - a good friend of ours, Jaye - and I can "tell him off" very easily LOL
LK, thanks for looking it up. Preacher's always telling us to control our tongues.
Sorry Susan, as long as you're not offended by Bob.
Off to bed early after I'm finished 'visiting'. No need for wine tonight, maybe a glass of Cassis and water!
Night sistahs.. Sue.. p.s. please take good care of yourself.
Nah, I'm not offended by Mr. Bob D....... he's a kooky friend and we all three of us know it LOL
Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!
What is everyone up to today?
My plants are watered for the day, and I need to get the house dusted before the dust bunnies take over!
Good morning and thanks for the coffee Linda. I'm busy with laundry and trying to get the pieces cut for the cancer blocks for Cher. I did get my Round Robin center mailed yesterday after rehab.
I must tell you ladies, I am so mad at myself for letting myself go without excercise for so long. I am really paying for it now. I have had sedentery jobs all my life and figured I'd be fine to quilt and do handwork when I retired. NOT!!! I need to rebuild all my stamina and I feel like a child learning to walk again. This rehab is the best thing to come for me in a long time as far as my health is concerned (Nothing beats having Norm!!). I'm not only doing the physical work but each session includes a one hour lecture on how breathing effects all aspects of your life such as walking, travel, sex etc. And then we have lectures on proper breathing techniques and things we can do for ourselves at home. I'm getting a lot out of it. The doctor seems to think I should be ready for surgery by the end of July. Sure hope so.
Time to change the laundry over --- I'll be back....
Glad to hear it is helping you Barb!
There I was in another building, talking of having to stick to an exercise regime and here's Barb given the tools to improve her physical stamina.
Good for you Barb.
The ancient yoga exercise stresses on breathing. Not the shallow breathing that we tend to do. I need to do deep breathings just to relax my mind!!
I'm sure after your recuperating period, you'd continue with the advice given at rehab. Was there a nutritionist there to give advice on a good diet?
Thanks for coffee LK. I'll be turning off everything soon, as bad weather's supposed to hit this way. Hope not.
Grounds can't soak any more water.
So.. it will be more sewing for me and later get some batteries!!
ok, i timed myself. it take one hour 20 minutes to feed and water the critters, and give annie 2 bottles. thank goodness michael takes care of them in the evening when he gets home, as i don't have it in me to do it twice. except for annie, i feed her 4 times a day times 2, so thats 8 bottles
Darn Sis, it's like having a human baby!
Thank God Annie's poops are so tiny!
she is outside today with falcor chasing each other
That must be sight! A dog and a kid becoming close friends!
Had a neighbour in Breaux Bridge whose dog's best friend was the son's pet duck.
That duck was its' shadow!
Hello Ladies,
Many of you have seen those glass totems, right??? I have been wanting to make a birdbath out of a EE leaf but can never find any around here. They other day I was out in the garage rummaging thru the junk and found a leaf shaped dish and this blue plate. Today I went to the Salvation Army looking for vases (gaudy ones, lol) and found this vase, they had $5.99 tag, told kid had chip that $5.99 was a bit high. He gave it too me for $3.00. I am going to hunt for more vases, (maybe 2 more I think) then stack them to make my bird bath. Whadda ya think?????
The plate is going to be the bottom stand, then a vase, then another plate, then vase, plate, vase then, the leaf shaped plate.
Glass totems? totem poles? I'm trying to picture what you're meaning and can't. Are these decorative, or used for something?
I don't know about you Cindy ,but I can spend hours on Pinterest !!!!!!!!!!
wow - I love those glass totems!
I sure wouldn't have one in Calgary though - WINDY is the major word around here, and the glass would have a Terrible time!
Love those jeans!!!!!! What do you use to hold 'em up? Looks like it would be chickenwire and rebar........
I would say anything , just sew the legs shut at the bottom and fill ...... then wire the top of the jeans to the railing .
but.......... that's a lot of soil to the cuffs of the legs.......... expensive lot of soil, right?
I was thinking that the legs might be filled with stones, and soil above for the "seat"
Cindy, your totem is going to be so pretty! I wish I could find cheap glass here! I will have to find a thrift shop when I get to San Antonio next time!
Love those jean planters too! I think I read the legs are filled with chicken wire, then old plastic bags, or styro peanuts, then there are flowers pots set inside the seat part!
Synda, your porch is going to be so pretty when you get those sheers up! Send pictures when you get it finished!
LK - YES, that makes sense - plastic bags, then the pots, not direct soil!!!! I just couldn't Think right, and you could!!
Good Morning Ladies,
Yes I love Pinterest!!!! I gain ten pounds every time I go to the food section LOL ^_^
Synda I love your porch the way it is now, but that is going to AWESOME!!!!! I envy you your beautiful house and land. I am trying to make this place nice but.............................one thing for sure the carpet is going!!!! There is wood flooring underneath, just hope the idiots didn't ruin it when they put this carpet in, like they did some other parts of the house.
I made a little planter using a pair of little jeans and cowboy boots, well after a few years the jeans rotted but still have the stand, pot and boots, lol. Maybe I'll get some jeans and do another one.
Another windy day, and then Friday we are expecting rain, then back up to the 80's by Sunday which is good. We are going to visit my brother on my b-day, cuz Monday is his b-day. We are going to have our picture taken so I will post it when I get home.

Puhleeez post pictures whatever crafts or recycled projects any of you talented sistahs are inspired to make.
Creative ideas don't come naturally to me :(
Synda, I'm glad that it's not me that have to transform material into 28 panels. And being they're sheer and lightweight, that will be a PIA under the sewing machine's presser foot!
Well, that makes sense. The form is the chicken wire, and stuff with paper bags to give the legs body. Remembering some advice on stuffing window valances to give the poufy shape.
Still you need the legs weighted down, right? Bricks? Pots??
Morning sistahs! What a morning this will be.
Kel is supposed to be attending school and he missed hearing the alarm. Had precisely 15 minutes to reach the school in a regular 25 minute journey. Been praying for his safety when he took off.
The school is rather strict and supposedly will shut the doors at precisely 9.00 a.m. I hope they made an exception, as Kel never misses a day of work or school.
If he doesn't call within the next hour, that must mean the doors were opened for him. That's what I should hope for..
Cindy, where's my coffee? First in the room gets to do it!!
Lolol.. it's okay sistah. I fix the best anyway!!
Sewing, sewing, sewing. That's my day for today. Hope you sistahs have a happy, happy, happy!
Oh Oh so sorry my bad :( coffee is on with Hazelnut creamer, donut sticks...............later will be eggs, hash browns and Candian bacon ^_^
Thank you Cindy!!
Yum! That sounds good!
For those that are on facebook, these ladies have lots of ideas for the garden! https://www.facebook.com/TWOwomenANDaHOE
That is where I got the idea for the tire planters!
Here is my tire planters! I planted pinks, zinnias, and baby snap dragons! I got the tires free from Wal Mart. They told me to come back and get all I needed!
Did Kel make it to class?
