sounds good
Hubby brought home pizza from a new pizza place(very good and inexpensive)so I got to eat the topping and salad made my own dressing, I am NOT buying dressing anymore, it's sooooooo easy to make your own
Did chicken in the pressure cooker with potatoes and carrots. Had salad as well. I season with lemon juice, garlic, salt and smoked paprika.
I made stir fried chicken in garlic olive oil over whole wheat noodles and Brussel sprouts.
Yum.
How are David, Lindsey and the baby, Deb?
They are all good. Leah is 7 lb 6 oz, and 19 inches. She has graduated to her crib in her own room. The baby monitor has a video on it so they can watch her anyway. Lindsey went back to work a couple nights a week last week, so she likes that. David is a good dad, helping with the middle of the night feedings. He is tired a lot, but he's young. Hard to believe Leah is almost 11 weeks old already. thanks!
chiken breasts on the grill, fried rice and greenbeans
Great to hear, Deb! Please say hello for me.
they just said ME lobsta is cheaper than bologna per pound this year.. is that true???
YUP! ^_^ The stores are selling them for Approx. $3.99 - $4.50 per lb. here, I can get them for $2.99 - $3.25 a lb. :)
I have 65 coming for Sat. :)
Grilled chops last night with swiss chard, black beans and rice. Reese's Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cake for dessert, it's my left over B-day cake. One good thing about ice cream cakes, they last a long time. ^_^

wow guess that's great for those of you who love it!!
OH YEAH!!!!
When we went to Nova Scotia last year, they told us that lobster used to be the poor mans food, and the kids would trade their lobster for peanut butter sandwiches. Peanut butter was too expensive.
Sounds like everyone's feasting! Making baked beans for the farm's BBQ today....
Going to a friends' house so don't know what we're having but she's a wonderful cook so no worries, I'm bringing a fruit salad and watermelon
have chicken drummies in brine.. going to make it in the oven (no walking) on a cooling rack ... and make some buffalo sauce .. have some fresh corn, baked potatoes & peas

I almost didnt make it because it's very time consuming, but it says you can make the fillings in advance, and store the cake in freezer for 3 days. :)

pork roast in the crock pot. first time I've cooked it this way.
I'm leaving at 4 am!
We had penne with Italian turkey sausage, zucchini, olive oil, garlic, basil, and Parmesan romano cheese.
Baklava for desset, my first time making, actually quite easy to do.
I think Pixie wins the 4th of July cookoff. I put on 10 lbs just from reading the menu!
LOL Don! I have over 30 people coming, just wanted to make sure everyone finds something they like.
Deb, bring your appetite. ^_^
Sounds great!
So I made the Ice Cream Cake last night......I don't recommend doing it when it's really hot and humid! It says place cake in freezer for 20 minutes until fruit layer is firm before moving onto the next step. In this heat, 20 minutes became 40!! I have 3 AC going in my house but I had to bake all day so it was still hot.
Will take pictures before we cut it.
