۞Sweet Interruptions # 240۞

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Kathy, they look like chicken babies!!! Oh I would say their Dad is beautiful...one proud peacock.

Susan, my router is only about 5 months old so no clue so far what is going on.
Tech support said the wireless connection in my CPU was mostly dead/damaged and I have purchased a flash drive as suggested. Something with the configuration just doesn't let it connect as of yet. We are still working with support to get it resolved.

Well the rain has slacked off for a while but I can see plenty in the Gulf, just not sure where it will go yet.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

My router's as old as........... well, Not as old as me, but old as far as computer parts! It's at Least 6 years old...... probably 8 yo

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready! How about some english muffins with cream cheese or jelly!

Here is an update from Faye...

Ray had surgery yesterday to remove more cancer. Dr. said it was the size of a walnut. Hope no cell was dropped this time.
Ray is doing very well from the surgery but his back is so bad with pain he can hardly get up and down. ( surgery not responsible for this pain. Cause unknown)

Hope you all have a good day. Going back outside now to dig Daylilys for RU.
Hugs.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs.
Kinda late this morning for me to have coffee, and the heat's up there. So iced tea this morning with some Walker's Shortbread cookies. I'll take some cream cheese, though, to spread on them!

Marion, I suppose Kim and her group will be travelling by train too. How lucky they are to experience Europe. One city is different from the other, and the languages! Thankfully most Europeans do speak English.
Funny how CB asked for a whole volcano! Homeland security will frown at that!!!

Proud Papa Peacock there Sis. Those chicks must be driving you nuts with all their chirpings! Do you keep them in a separate pen from their Papa?
Need a name, reconsider Peabrain.. Peafart.. SweetPea..

Thanks for the update, LK. I can imagine the turmoil that Faye had to suppress running through her mind. Thank God, they both have immense faith in our Lord. Then there's also the essence of hope that enable them to do the things that neede to be done.
We will continue to pray for them.

It rained again last night and that wasn't expected. So, I hope the clear clouds continue through the day.

Power Prayers tonight sistahs!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy, did you find a lite weight weed eater?
Marion and I have a cordless Black and Decker. It's pretty light for me.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thanks LK, for posting re: Ray - hope this is the last of his cancer....

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

papa is in the pen with rthem. she wont let him to close, but he won't hurt them anyway

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I agree Susan. One day, soon I hope, there'll be permanent cure for cancer.

Sis, do papa fowls hurt their babies? I'd never seen a rooster pecking at their little ones when my late g'ma had a coop.

Well... talk about CRS. I lost a day somewhere sistahs :(
It's Thursday today, and all the time I thought it's Wednesday!
Must be Survivor wasn't on last night, so my timetable is off!! Lolol!
Power Prayer for me tonight then!

Have a wonderful afternoon, sistahs!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,
Where was every one yesterday??? I am home, Doug and Amy were both very happy to have us home. Got a lot done at my mom's but still a lot more to do. My grandson said he would help me out every couple of weeks or so. Got that blooming weed eater to working was able to finish the chicken yard. Doug did a good job keeping my things alive here, lol. I brought more stuff down from mom's to put in my yard, so I will be working outside today.

Here is a picture of the re-done pond, we are just going to fill this one with water plants no more fish. Some how no matter what kind of a top we put over the pond the racoons are still able to get into it.

Next picture is of the two frogs that came hopping across the yard into the pond.

And Iris "Big Apple"

Morning Cindy! Looks like you have been very busy? Love that pond and garden area! That frog is pretty cool too!

Well, I have been busy, got up and made coffee, then went out to water the flowers, got some laundry going, and ate a bowl of cap'n crunch! Off to hang up some clothes on the line, and get another load going!

Glenview, IL

Good Day!!

Wow, you al have been busy this morning...

We are heading to Wisconsin! I'm just about packed, yay it going to be a beautiful weekend!
Have one last little porch to seal, DH, will clean the boat and hopefully will launch.
Very excited, he is...
I'm going to do some more plantings...My goal is to get the tire, planter cleared...been growing weeds for years, then it got overflowed with gravel from snowplow!! ROFLOL, so back to sifting rock, but it's going to be a lovely entrance when i'm done, hehe, I hope.!!!!

Oh, oh...Skittles is ready for toast, lol late again.

I hope you all have a great weekend, see you sometime Sunday night.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(((((((Sue)))))))) keep thinking of you gal - lots of prayers and hugs going your way!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Not abandoning y'all, but with the rain pouring down for the past few days, today is the only semi-dry day that I could do some damage control outside. Yep, I HAD to work in the drizzle. Upright some pots, drain some and I am pretty sure the mosquito population will increase.
Susan, I'm certain you don't fight mosquitoes as bad as here!!

LK, you're taking advantage of Tx sunshine aren't you? I used to dry the clothes on the line in La., no clothes line here, the cats will be having a ball trying to bat at sheets and such!

Anyway, glad to see Sue posting.
Sue, I wish the clock can turn back and Jessie's still there.
((((((((((((((((((Sue)))))))))))))))))))))

Cindy, good to know that your grandson will be helping maintain your mother's garden.
An aqua garden is easier to maintain than a fish pond. You'd be saving money on fish food.

Have a good vacation for us Sistah Judy and Steve. Be sure to let Steve do all the driving.. boat and van!

In a few, I'll be turning everything off... expecting more storms.
Later sistahs. :(

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

No Jaye, not in Calgary we don't, but in Winnipeg we sure did!! The mosquito is Manitoba's Provincial bird LOL

I hope the storms aren't too bad for you. This is the rainy season for deep southern US isn't it?

((((((((((Sue))))))))))) Everytime I see you I WILL hug, y'know........

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morn--- errr Afternoon sistahs! :D

Expecting another week of rain. God says in everything give thanks. I thank God that at least there's Marion's ark that's still floating around.. somewhere!

How about some ham fried rice with crumpled bacon for lunch. A glass of iced cold tea and fresh fruits for digestion?

Sue, may today bring you some comfort.

See you all later sistahs!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

love the breakkie, Jaye - thanks for the fruit!
btw - I heard it's not good to drink too cold a drink after eating - clogs the digestion.....
I love ice tea! Have some in the fridge right now!

crazy busy this week
today was farmers market and then baseball
i m pooped.
going to try and get some tomato's in the garden tonight as it is to hot to plant during the say upper 80's
was going to get tomato's in last night but our neighbors cat got in the way of the hay baler. Kyle was out cutting the hay last night and he saw me at the GH. asked if we had a kitty. poor little kitty... cut the tail right off of her tore the skin on her belly clean off. The hay was so tall and the kitty was hiding in it .
i m just amazed that he even noticed he hit her ? so i tried to grab her but couldn't get a firm grip as she tossed in pain. took off my shirt and wrapped her in it. Like a burrito.
good thing we live in the middle of no where i had a sport bra on so it was not the show anyone would care about
called my neighbor and she came and got her. Took her to the vet and she may recover. Lets hope no infection . but i guess she will need a new name . I was also glad she was declawed ! i m also amazed she didn't try and bite me when i picked her up ? wow what a great cat she is.
so no tomato's in the ground yet but i may try again tonight later on around 7pm.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh wow Sue!! poor kitty is right. Praying she has speedy recovery.

Who watched the Preakness Stakes. Kim had posted a link on FB with the contenders. I always pick purple, duh!! And lookie there PURPLE horsie won, lol here's to "I'll Have Another" Yay, now if only I would have gone to the casino and made a bet DRATS!!!!

My first husband gambled on horses a lot. He took me one, but I didn't place any bets. He did. I asked him which ones, then told him which ones I thought would win. He should listened to me, every one I picked placed, lol while none of his came close ^_^

When GOD was handing out brains, men thought she said trains...they hopped on a slow one!!!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Tsk, tsk Susan, that's an old wife's tale. I listened to my Chinese godma who insisted we drink hot chai with our meals. Lolol.. she got exasperated when I told her our internal body heat will warm up the iced tea right away!!

Poor kitty. Sue, that cat has 8 more lives to go. I hope it will heal.
When it comes to pain, my vet has told me that cats have a higher pain threshold. That kitty was most probably in shock!
Will you be canning tomatoes this year. Love your spicy tomato concoction.. and the beans..

Cindy, back in Louisiana, my BFF and I were thick as thieves when it comes to the racetrack. Our main racetrack was at Carencro, but we'll trekked to Vinton or Jefferson Downs. (that's before I got saved)
She won't read the programs recording the horses' performances and don't have much luck with her picks.
Me, only when a longshot interest me, and I had been lucky with trifectas. Too many times I ended up sharing my winnings with her.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

well Jaye - I'm an old wife, so guess I was "due" one idiot thing eh? I had just gotten this thing in email, and that's why I said "I heard" not "it's a fact". I was open to hear differing opinions, of course LOL

omy........ that poor cat!! Whose cat is it? Yours, Sue?

Cindy - next time you go, and pick purple, let us know, k? btw - I have your Purple Butterfly in my Cane Begonia plant, and they look lovely together - thanks!! (I know it's been 3 years since you sent it, but I think of you everytime I look at it!)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, you and I will always be due for more idiotic moments!! LOL!!!I've been corrected so many times and I don't think I've seen the last of it!

That's Sue's neighbour's cat.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

There was a gardening with compost work shop in a park not too far from us. Well we found the park, a very very large and pretty one, but couldn't find where they were holding the work shop. Park was full of people enjoying every sport around. We weren't the only ones lost and by the time we discovered where they were it was so late so we just went home. If they had put up signs to let everyone know where it was it would have been nice!! We have been to these work shops before and enjoyed them, but DH was really looking forward to it. Well, they may have another that isn't too far away. By the time we got home both of us were really tired out from walking around, so after a late breakfast we took a nap.

Have friends taking a tour of Maui and I sure do envy them. She said there were beautiful flowers every where. I do hope she sends me some pics. She sends e-mails of each day event to everyone.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh poor neighbour - wonder how they're doing with the poor injured kitty? I'd be Beside myself with worry!

Jaye - how's your ankle? I tried to call you earlier, but then I thought "she's got bad storms in the area - maybe she's not on much....and gone to bed"?!?!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs.

Went to get some breakfast for y'all from Burger King! Too lazy to cook, so biscuit sandwiches all around. Eggs and cheese, sausage and ham and of course coffee to go with them.

Susan, sometimes I don't hear the phone rings when I'm in another room. The a/c is kinda loud.
My ankle is back to normal and Hambone can wait for his papa to play with him!
That stuff that my sister sent do work.. and 800 mg of Ibuprofen too.

Off to church and might spend the afternoon in a drier county!! Lol!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Glad to hear your ankle is better Jaye!
Enjoy your day.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

Dropping in with a "hi' ..Lordy it's 85 out there and similar temps all weekend..been working since early morning, wondered why my heart was beating so. Lol. So got smart enough to put my feet up for just a tad.

Jaye, hope you had lunch as well as breakfast for me

Seems I forgot both.

It is our long weekend, have to tell myself there is still tomorrow..next long weekend will be the Sistah's gathering, plans in the making!!

Hope you are all doing something special today

Waving bye bye

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

91 here and the sun is blazing. burning everything up. cant tell i watered this morning

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Glad your ankle's better Jaye!! I'll call you another time, sis!

Betty - tsk tsk tsk....... when you're recovering is the time you Really need to keep a disciplined eating regime. Can't "forget" meals....... my mom used to do that (and my bro was at work, so he couldn't tell) but then my bro decided to "start" meals and all she had to do was microwave it, PLUS he questioned her as to whether she ate. They live in the same house, so it's hard to get things past him LOL After all, he buys the groceries and takes out the garbage. PLUS he's a sous chef so cooks very well - she loves his cooking!

Yikes Kathy - hot day indeed! It's only gotten to 81 here the other day, but it's certainly only 63 here now...... warm, but not hot! awwwwwwww puppies look so cuuuuuuute!!!!

kitty also had a broken paw. :( vet says she should be able to come home maybe tomorrow. We hope her skin stays " alive " and doesn't die off , then we will see problems . lets pray for her.
busy day and a insane busy week ahead. pretrial is thursday
oil change monday , bank
tuesday shopping for outfit for trial, girls are coming over with donations of plants to get into gigi garden
wend hair and garden projects with many phone calls to do
thurs trial
friday baseball game and other phone calls , then i may eat and clean house ??? oh yea forgot to eat this week LOL
got 30 jalepeno peppers in ground and only 30 more to go . then i do tomato's

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I will pray for the little kitty - poor thing!!!
Sue - I'm a little confused - I thought there was already a trial weeks ago?!?! Or was that just a decision to Have a trial.
And is it a full-blown trial or a pre-trial (what is that, anyway?)

Here's something for all of us with children and grandchildren!

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

A message every adult should read because children
are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hang my
first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately
wanted to paint another one.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you feed the
birds in winter, and I learned that it was good to be kind
to animals.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make my
favorite cake for me, and I learned that the little
things can be the special things in life.

When you thought I wasn't looking I heard you say a
prayer, and I knew that there is a God I could always
talk to, and I learned to trust in Him.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you make a
meal and take it to a friend who was sick, and I
learned that we all have to help take care of each other.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you take care
of our house and everyone in it, and I learned we have
to take care of what we are given.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw how you
handled your responsibilities, even when you didn't
feel good, and I learned that I would have to be
responsible when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw you hold
the door open for others and heard 'thank you' and
'you're welcome', and I learned respect for others.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw tears come
from your eyes, and I learned that sometimes things
hurt, but it's all right to cry.

When you thought I wasn't looking I saw that you
cared, and I wanted to be everything that I could be..

When you thought I wasn't looking I learned most of
life's lessons that I need to know to be a good and
productive person when I grow up.

When you thought I wasn't looking I looked at you and
wanted to say, Thanks for all the things I saw when
you thought I wasn't looking.'

I AM SENDING THIS TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE I KNOW
WHO DO SO MUCH FOR OTHERS,
BUT THINK THAT NO ONE EVER SEES.
LITTLE EYES SEE A LOT.

Each of us (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, friend)
influences the life of a child.

How will you touch the life of someone today? Just by sending this to someone else, you will probably make
them at least think about their influence on others.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly.
Leave the rest to God.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Coffee is ready!

Pretty morning glories blooming this morning!

Thumbnail by taters55

Thurs is a pretrial. don't know what that is. The others were not trials just grand jurys and other minor things . Mainly the judge just listened to presentations of the lawyers .
there will be a trial by a jury of our peers.

GREAT NEWS
well i have great news. !!! we found a videographer for the ceremony and he is doing it for free !!! wooooohoooooo.
off and running

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I posted a long, long reply, made a new room and all went poof!!!!

Betty, like Susan begs you here, please eat, so you can get better. We want you around for a very long time, not just to host a reunion! You know that we love you, right?

That includes you too Sue. Grab a V8 when you're on the run like that.
God certainly gives you a break with that free videographer.
I hope He does likewise with the trials. May that be a fast one with a guilty verdict.

Sis Kathy is one of them a rabbit??

Later on I'll share with you what's causing the buzz. Stay tune for more of "As My Stomach Turns"!!

Lovely MG LK, whoa.. what a beauty. I need to grow some. Got plenty of vertical space here.
