Morning all,
What a glorious sunshine morning, rest of the weekend calling for the same..can't get much better for a Mother's Day weekend!
Lordy, I sure clunked out last night, I should be tired today, seems I dated my best girlfriend's hubby (she died about 10 years ago). Anniversary date next week so she must have been on my mind..dreams hmmm
Was up early this morning, another spray of black to a few metal pieces..I upholstered a bench seat so once the pant is dry I can set it in and voila, its finished for another year.
I let Greg know shed was done so likely he'll not get here till noon hour. Jeff got in from Jamaica last night so likely get here about same time..
Should take a run to the ank, need $$$. For little man doing the storage shed tomorrow. Likely be about $500 for labor. Susan, wish Bob lived closer!
As I drink my coffee here I see that leaves on the big oak trees have grown an 1" in size over last day, won't be long the houses across the street will be hidden from view.
Mary, dr. Jilesen said that he has several patients with same cough/hacking who cannot rid themselves of it and he said only time will clear!
Once they get my kidneys up and running I'll feel as good as new and I'm sure up for that.
Susan, let's hope the neighborhood mechanic can fix and it's not mega dollars..perhaps you can barter, is there something he needs done at his house that Bob could do?
Well, break is over, time I get a move on
Looking forward to hearing what your day will bring, good or bad, hoping all good.
See you on my next break
Best, worse, what did I learn today? Visit with friends
Morning everyone! Mary, sure wish I could tell you the cassia made, it but it did not! :( It was doing good, and I put it in a bigger pot, and it just went down hill from there. Don't know what I did wrong? So sorry!
Betty, hope you will post pictures of your new building?
Hard day yesterday. The funeral home brought my guy's ashes back home to me. It was a lot more difficult than I had thought it would be.
Oh Dianne, I am so sorry that yesterday was so hard but I guess it was to be expected. It is a form of closure and sometimes we just don't want that yet. Please know how much we all love and care about you and that every one of us wishes we could be there with you. Just close your eyes for a moment and feel the love and the warmth of our feelings. Keeping you close in my heart.....Barb
Dianne, very difficult indeed and it just brings all the feelings back tenfold! Sending you hugs
Roger died New Years day and actual graveyard service was in May when ground was thawed, thought I was doing well and had to start all over again
Oops boys working gotta run
(((((HUGS))))) Dianne... just can't imagine.... how hard it must be.
Oh Well LK - it was worth a try :o)
Betty - well I suppose the DR knows...
Had to work today...exhausted. Best part of day... DS and DSGF and I watched a free Disney DVD (you can order each year off their website)
DS and I looked at some you tube videos... he is just as much a fanatic as I am.... Great pre-Mothers Day night...
((HUGS))
Mary
((((((((Dianne)))))))) Like Mary - I just can't imagine what it would be like, but as Barb said - feel the love and warmth flowing from us, to you......
Betty - I wish Bob could be there to help, too...... Well, nice thing is, he's doing work for 2 of our neighbours/church friends, and they will do their best to help by paying him for a "job well done". they're both on 'assistance' so it won't be much, but surely better than sitting at home and their hearts are in the right place - Christian ladies, both of them.
As for Bob's truck, it may be a quick fix - apparently there is a "reset switch" that hopefully will fix the problem. Richard and the tow truck driver (that helped get Bob's truck out of traffic) think this May fix it. If not, it's something to do with the fuel pump. He's only getting fuel through 1 cylinder and we'll have to wait until tomorrow aft when Bob's truck is brought home and Richard can get at some of the areas he needs to.
Happy mothers day all!
Thank you Betty and the same to you - and best wishes to all of our dear friends out there in cyber space.....
Good Morning, and Happy Mothers Day...
Today is also my DH's Birthday!!!
Waving to all,
Been the best Mothers Day yet, I thought Jeff and the boys would come, get my to do list done and leave for the city, but not!! Jeff says they are free this mornimg to do more work, wish I had known earlier would surely have found more for them to do..Greg and his crew coming for lunch..meanwhile Luc from Timbrr Mart is hard at work on the back shed so all is well in my world.
Yesterday everyone took a chore and before long all was done. This gazebo did not come with screens so part way through the day Jeff sent me shopping with his card, that was fine, now have screens and few garden items..got back and Melanie arrived, about 40 PerrenialsPreserv to plant, knows I love phlox so I think there are at least 12 , some hosta's then some wave petunias and white flowered plants for containers..but the very best is having my entire family with me for the weekend..fun watching my boys interact when doing a project..too funny, they got the new gazebo box opened, Jeff got directions out, he is trying to tell Greg step one, step 2' Greg says he doesn't need instructions so ajeff gets his lighter and burns instructions (brat) then towards the end ooops need instructions..thank goodness for French version is all I can say.
Judy wish Steve a happy birthday for me, enjoy your mothers day. LindaKay, you are leaving today, safe travels
Susan, hope car is a cheap fix..thank goodness you have 2 vehicles. Will indeed be a hard day for your friend's family.
Much to do, best I get at it
Good morning, Wishing you all a very Happy Mother's Day.
Betty, sounds like fun...did you have your camera out???
Safe travels for those traveling.....
Debbie

My darling youngest, just offered to take me out to breakfast , I said no thanks, but thanks for the offer. He bought us a new tv combination mothers day fathers day present. that was more than enough.............tho I did tease him, said it was much more a fathers day gift, as I do not watch much tv, but that's ok, as I am glad the hubs can enjoy!!
we had bbq steak last night, as I have to work today / tonight 2-11, and that's ok too as I got to sleep in a bit, and then I will have two days off in a row !!! we are going to go to the beach, or take the kayak out tomorrow, and Tuesday my truck has appointment , hubs will take care of that, and I will do a bit of house work, and bunches of sewing ^_^

Betty, Wow, you sure are getting a tone done already! So glad the everyone chipped in, now today, you can relax a little bit? OH thank goodness, something has been concluded with whats been going on...Now, hopefully, The Dr. J can get the right meds for you!! Oh, gosh tho...I am really surprised that the Kidney issues are not watched like a hawk. ..hehhe, with the Dr. Doctor.
Barbara, So glad the Pulminary Therapy has started...Sounds like a "good" start? Baby steps and pretty soon, you will be working your way to longer periods... Now do they give you exercises to work on at home?
OH MY goodness, just look at that Bear!! I think it's cool it's one of the cubs but wow, has it grown.

Shirley you are as busy as Betty! LOL So glad to see you posting.
Happy Mother's Day Moms!!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful wonderful day!
Mmmmmm Thunder, I bet those were delicious!
Well I'm going to head out and dig up some iris, keeping my head up y'all! This evening I'm going to go to the bar where my best friend bar tends and take her some flowers, she's 32 and lost her husband to an infection when she was 29 years old, he was 33 when he passed away, today's the anniversary of his death, and she has a 6 year old boy who can read everything I can and can count all the way up to oblivion. He's as tall as a 12 year old, dad was 7ft tall and mom is 6ft tall.
wishing you all a happy mothers day
Break time, lost my helper Jeff, but don't mind sharing!! Ann called this mornimg, her girls came up Friday night left yesterday..anniversary of Mike's death Wedn. Is playing high on everyone's emotions, argument ensued and home they went.
today she is trying to put a cabinet together, mhaving problems with the drill, brought them over, Greg and Jeff gave her lessons, Greg was on his way home, opening the pool for Melanie today so as she was leaving Jeff said just a minute I've all day to help mom, two hands are better than one I'll come help you do it...brought tears to my eyes, know I've great boys but sometimes they really touch your heart..today is one of those days!
Young Luc has been working like a madman, all 4 walls done..just have to set them up and he's ready for the roof. Glad we will be here to help him raise the walls, too heavy for one.
Judy, is Steve enjoying his day? Who is celebrating more he or you. Yes, usually when I sleep all the time and back is pulsating I'm usually in for tests..haven't had those symptoms so guess what is going on is dormant. He has an agenda now with weekly tests, then hospital tests and specialist so he's moving quickly.
Debbie, yes kids are telling e h other to hide my camera..just like their dad hate to have photos taken but I do have some..when I come in for the night will post a few.
jean, love your photo's. Here's hoping you are sitting with feet up and enjoying the day.
Crissy, good for you even in hard times wanting to go out tonight to be support to your friend..you are a special lady.
Shirley, think I take after you, lol, a zillion projects on the go..sounds as though you are making progress with yard work, that must make you feel better.
Hmmm was just wondering, with the gardens do you all pick one garden and clean/weed/plant till one is completely done or do you flit like a butterfly, from garden to garden? Get the same amount done but you don't see a finished garden until they are all done..
Did a walk around and set all my new pretties where they need to be planted and watered the gardens, this evening when everyone is gone I will dig and plant.
Glad you Re all enjoying your day and that the weather is co operating, nothing like sunshine to make the day a bit more special. Suzanne just called, Danielle my niece is in labour, having a tough time of it.
Thunder, how adorable your youngest is..that is a fantastic Duo gift even if hubby watches tv more. Are those pretties from your garden today?
Dianne, thinking of you as I plant my flowers..if not tonight then tomorrow. Shall get a shrub in memory of Santa Warren..was thinking carpet rose..they say a shrub gives over 2,000 roses in a season..sending hugs
Well, don't hear nailing out there so maybe Luc needs help
Back on next break
Waving Liz..
Think Ann has now adopted Jeff, thought he would be back by now..no worries, Braedon and I helped lift the walls, made grilled cheese sandwiches..ok, burnt one but I said its the way I liked it done..not. Lol
Luc back at securing the walls, I'm sitting in gazebo while the little pond empties..not pleased with the waterfall so a chance to fix while everything is in a mess..soo peaceful, sunshine, tunes playing, light breeze and I sit while emptying pond..can life get any better than this??
Betty - hoping Danielle soon has a better delivery......... is this her first?
Last night was Bob's bowling banquet - His team was first place so they got their choice of prizes. He called and asked my opinion - Nikon Coolpix digital camera or a Tom Tom GPS............ I've been wanting him to have a digital camera, so now he has (much better than my older Coolpix he got me one year for Christmas - it's much newer of course lol)
I'm so pleased for him!
He's "off" to see about moving his truck back to our place so Richard can work on it.
Yes, good thing we have 2 vehicles........ only been one week since my car was fixed, now his is broken?!?! Aren't we meant to have 2 vehicles? lol His problem is that the fuel won't go through........... no fuel, no go!!
Waving, bit low in the wave, nearing end of my energy level..
Susan, Danielle had a baby girl. 8 lbs 8 oz..ouch Danielle has to be 95 lbs soaking wet.
Hat a nice surprise, was working and deep in thought and didn't notice Darlene standing beside me..she helped me for about 20 minutes then we sat and chatted for 1/2 hour. She too was having a hard day so decided a ride in the sunshine is what she needed..she has spend 2 days laying interlocking slate as she is making a memorial garden for Mike..she is hoping we will all bring our favorite plant/shrub on a memorial day this summer, think she is having it mid June..wanted her to stay for supper but she just had to get going..loved the work the young man is doing..between us we decided to stain it..now to find a color!
I thought I posted this, not sure where it went, hmmm
Called Ann to see how she and Jeff made out, she broke down sobbing, said he made her day..put up curtain rods..put up shelving and put a cupboard together..I'll say like my dad would say. " that's my boy!!". After spending more than 2 hrs helping Ann I gave him the biggest hug and I love you, told him just how proud I am of him..
Best I clean snide a bit before we sit to eat..hard working outside and outside..
Susan, maybe fuel pump?
Oh happy days, a digital camera, wonderful that he will share!
Well, one last burst of energy out I go..Luc said he never saw anyone work as hard as I outside..he ought to see me most days. Lol
She will come over about 6:30 for supper..
Hi - I'm home safe but very tired. Everything is fine here. A few brugs in bud for the first time. Weather is heating up.
More when I'm rested.
hugs, katie
You raised a fine man Betty....kudos to you both. Glad you are having such a productive day.
Susan, great that Bob got a new camera...hope the truck repairs are minor...maybe just clogged injectors....fingers crossed.
Judy...big hugs....hope you and Steve both have a great day
Shirley, glad the weather is nice and you are getting some projects taken care of. Do you have any thoughts to when you will move closer to your DD?
Katie...glad you made it home safe and sound. I know you are happy to be back in your own home/bed.
Crissy....keeping you in my thoughts...head up shoulders back...an army of one with tons of backup.....here's hoping you find joy and peace again soon.
Mary....hope ya had a grand day with family....Disney is another day closer...grin
Thank you Jean, if I've done nothing better in life than bringing my boys into this world to be the men they are I'll die a happy lady..
Luc went home, gave him a $40 bonus as he never stopped and worked mega hard, fed him spaghetti for supper..really nice young man. He is a volunteer fireman, works all day and classes twice a week for firefighting..won't be here tomorrow night but will be here Tues/Wedns weather permitting.
Greg and Melanie called asking me for supper but Ann is coming shortly so we will have to do it another night.
1/2. Hr before she arrives, I can likely do a few things at the pond..
Don't mind saying I'll sleep tonight as I almost nod off
Katie, so glad you are home safely, am sure it will take you a few days to rest then you'll be in the gardens enjoying those Brugs...how did your new wheels do coming home? Everything you wanted it to be?

Hi - just soke to my DD so my day is complete!!
Jaye - Bob had given me a digital camera a couple of Christmases ago, so no sharing!! LOL
Bob's truck still not moved to home, so can't be worked on....... he can get Some fuel to ignition, but only one cylinder.
Friend said it may be a fuel filter........
Do you ever crawl into bed and just thank the Lord for its comfort and let out a sigh as its about the nicest part of the day??
Susan, glad you got to speak to your daughter..difficult I'm sure for both of you seeing as you live so far apart..got to get Skype going Susan. Drats about Bob's vehicle..what do you mean Bob won't share. Lol
Hi y'all!
I got to go home and see a very very dear friend for Mother's Day that's in the hospital along with my Mom yesterday. It was one of the best Mother's Day ever! We visited my MIL today.
Dianne, both of us continue to pray for you. I can't begin to know what you've been through the past couple of days, but please know I'm always here praying ...
To everyone else, forgive me for not speaking individually ... I'm just bushed tonight.
He doesn't have to share - I have had my own for a couple of years, since he got it for me one Christmas.
He's the one who's been without a camera till now lol
Hi y'all!
I got to go home and see a very very dear friend for Mother's Day that's in the hospital along with my Mom yesterday.
Your friend is in the same hospital as your mom?
I'm confused..........
Susan, Suse's Mother passed away, it was a great opportunity for her to visit with her mom's friend..
Suse, bet your mom's friend had stories to tell of she and your mom's friendship which would have warmed your heart.. Does you MIL live in the same area as you? You sure put in a day as well! You will be tired today..maybe enjoying your garden and a walk with Moses will do the trick?

oh dear - Suse - I'm sorry I got mixed up.............
So glad you had a good visit with your dear friend. I know she appreciated the visit :-) How wonderful of you!
I'm printing up my resume (5 copies) now, to take with us to the job fair - Bob already has his :-)
We have a tow truck company coming to bring Bob's truck 400 ft to our place so Richard can look at it and determine what's wrong.
Cya all later.
Good luck Susan, here's hoping there will be a position for one of you if not both!
I do not believe Suse's mom has passed...she lost her father last year. I may be totally confused...big surprise.
Here is a link our dear Dianne wanted to share.....today would also have been Warrens birthday, so send her some extra hugs!
This is soo soo pretty....even the cat is watching it!

Many Hugs going out form here ......my bird was singing with the music!!!
Yes, Susan and I confused things, Suse posted this morning and got us straightened out!
Thanks for the link Debbie..beautiful
How are you doing this morning, everything back to normal at the house? Have a nice Mother's Day?
I am thinking of you all and prayers to those that need them. I haven't had my computer for 2 weeks. Had to have it dumped and put back but I must re-download a lot of stuff. YUK!! I do not have time for this. I just keep getting further behind. Hugs BEV
