۞Sweet Interruptions # 239۞

i love oysters with tobasco also. yummmmmm

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, I have 4 UFOs and still I'm tackling more quilts.
Gold and red, definitely for the boy.
And as for GBS, the only reason I knew about him was from school days. Him along with Bertrand Russell were the English thinkers/philosophers that I admire.

This is oyster country Sue. But most of the folks love theirs whole and "medium". Whereby a rack of oysters would be heated in the oven for a few minutes, enough for the shells to open and the sides to curl.
I love them on the half shell, if raw, or fried or in gumbos!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thanks Jaye - I happen to have gold and red just perfect for the boy. Thinking I will make "Broken Dishes" pattern - looks good, and easy. And I'll make a "Baby Boy poem" for the back. and sign it of course lol

As for philosophers and thinkers, I really can't remember being taught much about them....... at least not up to grade 9......

Afternoon everyone, we are back home. We had such a nice visit and dinner with Andy and family!

Looks like I will be getting another knee replacement, and or hip replacement sometime soon, as it is getting so painful for me to do much walking anymore! I am going to call a specialist, and see what they can do! Hopefully get an appointment in the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Welcome back, LK!!! How's Dylan? Bet he's getting big, fast!

That's a quick turnaround for an app't, isn't it? Wow - that's fast!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Dylan is doing good, and yes, growing so fast!

It is a 3 hour drive each way, we drove in yesterday, had a nice dinner, then got up for his hearing test this morning, and was on the way home by noon. We got home about 3:00pm.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Dang LK, I know you're trying to avoid surgery. Sorry that the pain has become unbearable. Will both be done at the same time?
With the temps so high in Tx., you must be glad that there's airconditioning!! If not it will be one hellish long drive.

Sue - the garden is truly magical! Just wait until it fills in naturally - will be so beautiful! (heck, it is NOW!!)

this is just a small shade garden in the back of my house kinda of a private garden for me and her.
well lots of thunder and lightening with lots of rain ! wow .

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, love that shade garden!

Jaye, I would love to have them both done at the same time, but I don't know if they will allow that to happen. I will know more in a few weeks I hope, after I see the specialist!

A private garden is Just what you need, to spend time with your daughter Jessica........ It's a private sanctuary for you.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

I have an "alone space" too and it truly does help me to heal when life hands us an unexpected hit. You have made an exceptional one that will fill in with beauty and be a comfort to you.
God bless you.

Glenview, IL

Good Morning

Sue, ..How lovely! I too am so glad you have created a private place. Big Armwraps to you.
Such a bummer about the bird bath, sure hope you can get it replaced. Love the White Bleeding hearts! it going to. We have one up at the cottage...I was lucky to see it in full bloom!
...Was nice to talk to you the other night, Today I should be able to dig up those daisies.
How was your visit with Cookie?

Jaye!! How wonderful your friend will be moving close to you! We sure can feel the excitement. I am so, so happy for you.

Welcome Home Linda Kay! Oh man sorry Todd didn't pass the hearing test, yikes maybe he just needs a good ear cleaning...my honey can't hear for *(&^!! LOL, had a hearing test a while back and they said nothing wrong, ROFLOL, so i get to "yell" at hm alot! Glad to hear Dylan is doing well...Sure hope you are feeling better. Bummer your having problems with your knee/hip, hope you can get that appointment quickly.

Waiving hello, Cindy!! My goodness, sure hope everything works out with the house.

Marion..How are you? Know you have been busy around the gardens in between your travels. I hope your mom is is improving.

You all have been in my thoughts and prayers, daily...

Now, I've got good news!! Yay, We're hooked up again!! ROFLOL, this system is archaic and slow as mollasis, but hey it works until we can get something done with ours. Hahaha, the moniter takes up most of the desk.
Yesterday spent a good amount of time re creating Documents for DH. It was ok since it was rainy and cold and I have to admit a good way to utilize my brains! Now to figure out how to get photos in.lol...No hook ups for camera disk, so when i have time and money need to go to Walgreens and make a photo disk.
So, i am back in business to visit again, can't even tell you how much I've missed our daily visits.

The other good news...Jake took 2nd place at the cooking competition!! He doesn't know though, if he qualifies for Nationals, may not be enough points.

Wow, Sue you and Jaye sure have a lot of projects in the works!!

Ok, well the weather is suppose to be pretty descent, I have to get some yard cleanup done, lol never ends.

Enjoy the day Sistahs!
Judy

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Morning everyone. Going to be another hot one here today so I have been out trying to finish up some projects while it is bearable. We don't usually get mid 90's this early in the year!! Bummer. LK, sorry to hear about your knee and hip. Just not fun to think about!!

Sue, love the pictures of the garden and yes, a special place for you is a wonderful idea. I call mine my "sea of tranquility". I have been working more on that area lately.

Judy, good to see you post. Mom is about the same--no better/no worse, I guess.

Waving to all. Jaye, whatcha up to today?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone.

Judy, so glad your back online. Does your camera have a USB plug for the computer?

Marion, don't work too hard today!

My alone space is my roses, as they were my Moms favorite flower. Still looking for a climber called seven sisters? Have any of you heard of it?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's MAY the 1st everyone!!!
Normally in May, normally for me there's always peace in the month! I hope for the same this year.

LK, my ex needed surgery (carpal tunnel) on both wrists, his doctor advised against both done at the same time. But ex insisted as he told them why go through pain and the surgery/recuperating process twice. He had his wish, but I was constantly his hands after surgery for at least a month!!
I've heard of seven sisters, LK. Don't know if it's a climber. I'll ask Kel to check. They're pink right? His ex wife has them growing in her back yard.

Sue, you are brilliant to think of an "alone" space for yourself. We all need that uninterrupted time for reflection, and especially for peace of mind. It will be so therapeutic for you.
Hope today is much better for you. Love you Sue. Remember, your tears are our tears.

Hey there Sistah Judy!! My favorite Chippewa Sistah!!! Miss you gal.
I'm so glad Jake won, please congratulate him for me. I'm sure he lost by a one point to the winner and I'm certain one of the judges got to be related to the winner!!! Yep, I believe Jake should be 1st. I'm such a prejudiced aunt, am I?
Don't call it archaic, Judy. It's a computer angel for now! It brought you here with us! It's helping your DH and helping you to rest your throat, so you won't be yelling at him for the paperwork!!!!
Return more often, for we truly miss you.

Marion, I wish you and SEWERS are close by, so we'll have a sewing party!!
That's the plan for today if my day's not interrupted. But then, if we are all living close together, nothing gets done right? We will all be out gathering more fabrics or having too much fun in coffee houses!!
I'm also getting ready to start the RWB swap. Yes, your name will be on it!! :D

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Think positive Jaye, yes!! we would accomplish much!!!! Notice I didn't say what though. LOL

Came in for a drink, boy but it is humid out today. We are needing some rain but so far nothing to mention.

Well back to the yard............

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Marion don't get overheated please.

Glad to hear our names are on the list for your new swap Jaye! I love that swap!

Marion, it is humid here too, we had loud thunder, lightening and lots of rain last night, so it is humid! 90% the weather channel says with 73 degree's...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

This is the new thread for the swap. Melody had removed the old thread, so I can upload a picture :D
Spread the word, LK, since you're the main gal for a couple of threads! TY!!

I am off and running, spreading the word!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh please, don't run with that knee and hip. I sure don't want to be the cause of your added pain, LK!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

^_^

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Cindy any news from HUD?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(((((((((((((my Sistahs)))))))))))
Jaye - another RWB? Sorry - can't take part...... doing 2 RRobins, and with the other quilt projects at home (too many to list!) I'd better not......... sorry..............

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's okay Susan.
This our 5th year in doing this RWB swap.. not a quilting swap. There's always next year.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I did the last one, and love the blocks I'm still getting!!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Hi y'all!

Sue your memory garden for Jess is gorgeous!! You're really going to enjoy that quiet space.

Jaye so glad you're legs feel better!

Cindy I'm so sorry for your loss! I hope everything clears up with the house, I used to process HUD stuff way back when, the way it was back then was they couldn't evict you if you were making the payments on time, it was illegal, hopefully it's still illegal!

Y'all, I have some sad news, me and Dave are divorcing. He doesn't want to be married anymore and has gotten very very greedy and doesn't like or respect me and I'm not going to stay with someone like that. I just can't do it. I'm doing fine, he's been served and reacted surprised but relieved, I'm financially broke right now because even though his last paycheck didn't go into the joint account he thinks that the money in there is his, there's $200 left from my paycheck so I guess bills aren't going to get paid until I can get him to give me some money, the court will force it. I feel good about it even though I would much rather work things out he has made it clear ever since Thanksgiving that he wants out at my expense so out he will go and he will see that 1. he doesn't make as much money as he thinks he does, and 2. how hard life is without someone caring around.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(((((((((((((Crissy)))))))))))))) Good thoughts and prayers to you, m'lady!

Oh Crissy i m sorry . I hope he doesn't turn into a more of a jerk . HOpe things can be civil amoung the two of you . Can you afford the place on your own ?
i would get myself another account he can't be able to get my money . Yep i guess he thinks its greener on the other side . but we all know better. he will never find a wonderful person like you ever again. You are the winner in this .
Judy i enjoyed our talk too. glad your on the interenet again.
very rainy here today. T storms all day in and out.
got some new plants for sales. not much but it will help. i guess ?
tomorrow i clean 3 houses
thursday we open for business

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

"open for business" What do you mean, Sue?

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue has a plant business.

Hope it goes well for you Sue!

thanks
kinda nervous . don't have much advertising but one little paper. so i hope we get some customers .

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good luck Sue and Crissy.

Dearest Crissy, I guess Dave has that 'itch'. When you mentioned how he's proud of his buff body, I was hoping it's just that, and not that he's starting to feel single again :*(
No point convincing a fool that the grass on the other side is greener as it's full of crap Crissy!!!
You've fed, clothed and housed him when he's not working. Talk about gratitude.
If that's what he wants.. I agree with Sue. Let him be. Maybe it's God's way to show that you are too good for him!
Just act the winner you always are!

Sue, may those customers spread the word about your business.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Sue, put an add in Craigslist.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's a good idea, LK. Also those ad papers like Thrifty Nickel.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oops.. ad papers charge!! Forget it, Sue.

Heading to bed, so goodnight sistahs. Sleep well.
