accidents happen - hope it heals quickly
Coffee Break # 78
Karen, Classic Viburnums in Nebraska--listed in the directory of mail order places on DG--has virtually EVERYTHING. They even emailed me first to see if I'm going to be in town before sending the order next week. Gary Ladman spent a lot of time on the phone talking viburnum with me. Of course, the closer to home the better if you can find your variety locally.
Thanks, all. Slept so-so. Hurts quite a bit this AM. Just took a vicodin.
Aww. Feel better, Victor.
Oh no!! Praying the numbness is just temporary. Heal well.
Yesterday I went to an azalea garden. Spectacular! Will be going again tomorrow, so will take pics. There was a lovely fragrance in the air; with my nose as it is, I had to find the source. I saw some viburnum and headed toward it. Yep, that was it. If I can smell something it must REALLY be fragrant. Will get pics tomorrow when I go back and then you can tell me which kind it is, please.
Can't wait for the pics of azalea's! The vib. sounds lovely. :)
OWWWWWW, hope you heal quickly!!!!
Can't wait to see the pics!
Wow...some folks will do anything to get out of washing dishes! Seriously, hope that heals quickly, Victor....nasty place for a cut.....
Cuts on hands are the WORST !!!
We use our hands for EVERYTHING !
Victor, don't leave bandages off, which is my bad habit...they must stay on to prevent infection. Good Luck !!!
was in the yard today and heard bird wings flapping just above my head - thought i was being attacked - turned around and two male bluebird where fighting and fell to the ground 2 feet from me - they were pecking each other - then took off still chasing each other - no sign of a female although one had to be close
Some of the prettiest birds are the most combative.
I wonder if there is an evolutionary connection between colorful plumage and agression?
Any ornithologists want to comment?
edit: lousy typing....dang....

Well I don't think parrots or flamingos are too agressive
Had very first ride in a Porsche today
Did you let your hair stream in the wind, even in a non-convertable ?!??
If you didn't let your hair flow in the wind, then you are legally obligated to repeat the experience until you get it right!
(Even if it means test-driving one at a dealership, with no intention to purchase. You must fudge the details to the salesman, if necessary.)
Too bad it wasn't warmer then it started to spritz so didn't have the windows down
I must have been tired when i read the thread last night! (working on a trip itinerary and finishing the college appeals)
Get better soon, Victor! Hope there's no serious damage.
Then you MUST repeat the task, until you get it right! doctor's orders.....
That wasn't fighting that was salsa dancing
OK BA, I'll try to make that happen for ya LOL
We have at least 3 conversations going simultaneously, but "it all good."
That's just normal NE stuff
Hubby's 83 year old uncle is getting remarried to a 73 year old woman
Hip-Hip-HARAAY for love juice!
Wow...hope they are happy! About the bluebirds, Bill.....I think any bird can be aggressive around mating time....even cardinals will go after their reflection in the glass, & they're pretty mellow....
Every March I awaken to a particular male robin banging into my window in the early sunrise hours.
Amazing that he hasn't hurt himself. Over several weeks, as the sun gradually changes the angle of rising, he moves on to "tilt at other windmills" elsewhere.
That's why I named him "Don Quixote."
Love that mind picture!
I had THE BEST day, lunch and shopping with my 2 oldest Grandaughters, windows down in the car on the way home...singing with the radio @ the top of our lungs. :) Wildberry lemon aide and a donut for a snack, then brought Hunter to softball practice so I could see some of her awesome moves, now home again. Tired and full but extremely grateful for the time with them and the beautiful day. ^_^
What a wonderful way to spend the day.....I was at art class, so was inside, but chatted with the "therapy" group. so, yes, it was a good day here, too.....Love the Don Quixote robin...too funny!
Those days are the best days, Pixie. Glad you had a great time.
RD, glad for your art class, too.
Adam had chemo via I.V. the other day, he handled it very well, just sleep alot. Vitals were good all day and he had no visual side effects. We are thinking it's working on the tumor....he is showing signs of improvement he took his pacifier and put it in his mouth. That is something he hasn't been able to do in a while!!!!!!
Victor, hoping your hand is feeling better today.
Yay for pacifiers. Praying it gives him the comfort he needs.
Good boy Adam, keep it up♥
Hope your hand is getting better Victor.
Darn chicken was up squawking pretty loud at 3:00, I though the fox was at her, Lou went up to check and she was fine no fox....seems she didn't like where the new chicks were sitting, on here besting box. I never really did go back to sleep, it's going to be a long day...
Ronnie, I had the same thing happen a few days ago but it wasn't my birds! The neighbors Ginny Hens were outside making a racket....those things are loud!!!! I'll take chickens any day!!!!!!!
Victor, hope your hand fells better soon and glad you can take something for it. :)
Happy Adam news! Yes, am worried about Victor's hand!
Thanks, all. I appreciate it. I do have feeling returning, so that's good. Still zings pretty good when I move it.
Mom gets her cardiac procedure today.
Best of luck to her.
Glad you both had a nice day, Celeste and Marilyn! Both are my cuppa tea as well!
So good to hear about Adam, Celeste! And about your healing hand, Victor. Hope all goes well with your Mom too.
Nice day for traveling today! We're headed for a cemetery in NJ. Hank wrote his book this winter about his Uncle who was at Pearl Harbour during the attack and who fired at the enemy. Hank wants a shot of his gravestone for the book. Then heading north a bit and stopping. His brother isn't up to a visit, so we've nixed Long Island.
Safe travels Louise and very exciting about the book!!
The title of that photo is "Whizzing by Shenandoah Dogwood". :)
