Afternoon sistahs.
Nope, Kel came home normal. No mewing, no scratching.. but did he get a meowful from angry cats, outside an inside.
They still prefer their Friskies Seafood Sensation!!!
Spent some time in the yard, and duhhhh.. forgot my mask. Pollen count must be high. Am sneezing away even after flushing the sinuses.
Marion, when working in the yard, please wear safety goggles! Got to protect your precious eyes from flying drebis.
Cindy, hope the doctors can pinpoint your mother's stomach issue.
How's Taylor doing? Are her tonsils taken out yet.
My ex was 37 when he had his removed.
Oh Sue.. Special Armwraps like Sistah Judy would say, for you dear.
If your left shoulder is leaning a little, that's our weight on you. We are with you, every painful step you take.
۞Sweet Interruptions # 238۞
"No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom
the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
John Donne
We are all part of that "Human Continent".
When one of us hurt, that hurt will trickle down to the rest of us.
Thank God, we're not isolated like an island.
We have each other.
I wear my sunglasses Jaye as my eye that has had the cataract removed is super sensitive to sunlight. I be careful, really I be. LOL
Love the quote above....so true.
i really thought i would know how i would feel today. ? i ran it in my mind over and over and over. what i would do, say , think and feel......... apparently that went out the window once we hit the parking lot.....
the sorrow and feeling of missing her is overwhelming in the deepest form ... its pain is numbing.....
thank you for being with me in spirit. i felt you all the way over .
I only wish I could take some of this numbing feeling away for you Sue but it is truly part of the healing process. Still hovering over you shoulder and gently hugging you for comfort.
We're all there for you Sue!
Sue, no mothers should go through this. Not this way...
Somehow there's evidence that the Lord's carrying you, cause you are writing it all out here. Which is essential for your healing.
Ditto what Marion said.
One of the hardest things for me too, picking up my son's ashes. But, I had DH beside me and he was the one picking them up and carrying them to the car.
Gigi's garden will be lovely I know and a perfect place to rest You are in my mind and prayers every day. I found it very hard to let go of my nightmare too, but faith helps us carry on.
Indeed LK.
Temps are supposed to be low 30s tonight!! It's gonna be worse in the mountains. Supposed to be icing!
Yikes, thought after Easter, it's okay to get the plants out, in NC.
All has been said, ((((hugs)))))!
Through all this please remember to look after Sue..she's important.
Sue, saying prayers of comfort for you!
Love those flowers!
The last one is so delicate.. love them all.
Please tell me what 2, 3 and 4 are.
Ric I'm plant ignorant!! Thanks! Share more!
Sue, starting a journal will help in the recovery process. The journal will also give you a way to 'communicate" with Jessie. Emptying all kinds of pent up emotions on paper is good therapy. Plus it's free.
Good night sistahs...
Ooops....good night brother Ric!
Good Night all
#3 looks like a columbine, but don't know the others.
Night everyone! Sweet dreams!
Don't have time to get the names.
1,2 are Clematis
3 is a Columbine
4 is a Celadine or Wood Poppy
Happy Birthday Cookie. Many, many more to come.
Good Morning Ladies,
My SIL was with me when I had to pick up hubby's ashes. We held it together until we got to my house, was in his 49er room setting his ashes on a special shelf I made, then we both broke down. Yes, it's a very hard thing to deal with.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKIE!!!!!
Jaye, are your flowers all Clematis? What are the names? LK, how is the Clematis doing that I sent you in the Windchime swap? All I have in bloom is a dark pink Columbine.
We lost power last night, right in the middle of Dancing with the Stars, but it came back on just as they voted Sheri off :( She was so funny to watch. We are expecting some high winds and severe thunderstorms this after noon so I won't be online when it starts up.
Take care all
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKIE1
We got rain during the night and now the sun is peeking out,. I think we are in for more rain, just don't want it over this weekend, our gardening RU. Well, it will be easier for me to pull up weeds.
(((((Sue)))))
Singing 'Happy Birthday Cookie' right along with you all...hope it's a sunshine day for you Joyce!!!
Cindy, the clematis is doing good! So far the plant is about 6 inches tall! :)
LK!! that is good! WOW! two different colors how awesome!!! The white with purple reminds me of George Strait Morning Glory, I had some seeds, don't know if I have anymore hmmmmmm but check my stash, lol
Happy birthday Cookie!
Thanks Ric, I've never seen a Columbine nor a Wood Poppy.
For sure, I'll be looking out for that clematis.
Yes Cindy, they are all clematis. The red one is Niobe, that name stays with me cause it's Japanese. The others, I darn forget. Sorry.
Never did follow DWTS as it clash with what I like to watch. This year it's The Voice, and I think I'll take that off my list! Back to the ID Channel!!
Nice morning glory there LK. Didn't have any here, and they can be so beautiful. I have a 'spare' fence with no vines on, maybe I'll start a morning glory row!
Thank God it was a bearable 40s for the plants this morning. Didn't haul any back to the green house last night, took my chances. Plus the rain helps too.
((((Sue)))) hope today gives you more smiles and brings more warmth to your beautiful heart.
I am tired!!! Been out working with my yard man and I must say we have achieved a lot!!! Taking a break and then back outside. I need the steam roller we had years ago, can't remember who had it. The squirrels are treading on dangerous territory yet again. They actually knocked planters (big ones at that) off my deck railings last night. Guess they were trying to get to the bird feeder hanging there. One more time and I am declaring "war"!
Later................
Oh please, no roasted squirrels on Marion's property, Lord!!
Lolol...
Marion, I think that steam roller is still at Jojoringer's.
((((((((((SUE)))))))))))))
HAPPY BIRTHDAY COOKIE!!!!!!!
I forgot what all I was going to say....
Having a blonde moment there, Crissy?

Sue, get you a cake, if you want... and add a gallon of golden vanilla ice cream too, for the kids. Or would they prefer chocolate?
Anything to make you feel good, Sistah.
Gosh, Tom Petty is sure reminding me that I'm NOT getting younger!! Lol!!! But he still can sing with all that vintage look.
Time doesn't stand still for everyone, even my favorite rockers!!
Crissy!! Crissy!!
I just found out about this... Bobby Petrino's fired!!
