Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

When my aunt, who has mild Alzheimer's, saw me, she asked, 'What happened to your hair?!!'
She saw me last in May! She swore I had way more hair and did not believe me when I said I have been shaving my head for years. So funny.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

oohhh

:(

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Glad someone remembers me with hair!

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

Welcome back, Victor...where were you in Fla? Now you see why we've been ready to leave for awhile now!

Ewwww, Allison....good reason to just go back to bed and start over! :)

Cute dilemma with all the 4-year olds. Don't scream at me, but I LOVE that about 4-year-olds! I love the way their minds work and what all they are soaking in. I love to ask them tons of questions back. Little kids are amazing!

Neat shot, Celeste...sounds like you are enjoying your trip...good for you...you needed a good break in the action! Any news on little Adam today?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Welcome back Victor.

Louise I'll lend you Luci for a few days and you will be the one screaming!! LOL
I really do appreciate her questions, shows me she is intelligent and wants to
learn as much as she can♥

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, all. Ft Lauderdale area, Louise. Was hoping to find time to meet up but there just was not enough. As it was, we kind of lost a day with our little guy getting a tummy virus.

Wow, painter Thomas Kinkade died at just 54!

Ft Lauderdale - Memories. Lived there 7 years, Actually Hollywood, but is only 3 miles if that away. I roamed from Ft Lauderday to Miami working for a plant company. I had all the major accounts.

Thomaston, CT

Sorry the little guy was sick...traveling does that ....Garret had tummy problems the first time he flew, I think he was 3.....his kids have been flying since they were infants, although the 7 year old doesn't like flying....takes after Nana....

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Where do you garden?

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Haha, Ronnie! I will rent her for a day when I'm bored. Lol

Sorry we couldn't connect this time, Victor, but we know it is hard since we are in the other coast.. Now, when you come down to Sanibel...that's another story! :). Sorry your little guy got sick. That is not a vacation. Hope the Easter Bunny brings good things to your little guys and all others!

I'm testing icab to see if I can post a photo from my ipad. If it works, some of you will recognize my painting of our NH road at the brook just before you reach our driveway. :)

Woohoo! It works and now I can share photos. Yay :). If anyone else has an ipad and wants to post photos, just install icab for $1.99 and it will let you.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Cool! I will check it out.

Beautiful painting Louise!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Wow - yes it is! Did you paint it? Beauty.

Visited my MIL today at the nursing home she went to on Thursday. We walked in as they were changing the wound. Normally not squeamish, but had to cringe. They took a lot of muscle out. Could clearly see a three inch section of what I thought was her shin bone, but was told by my wife was her Achilles tendon. Wife said it looks very good, though. Starting to get her up but she also has two torn meniscus in the same knee!

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Love the painting Louise!
Ouch Victor, home your MIL heals OK. My SIL is a nurse and specializes in wound care in the elderly, she said sometimes she still cringes some get so bad.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Ronnie. Luckily, my wife now specializes in that too. She works two days a week at nursing homes doing wound care exclusively. She will soon be certified in it.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

pretty Louise!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Guys! Let me see if I can upload one I did of Hank on the beach at Sanibel on a really cold And windy day a few years ago. If I can do two, the second one is our NH pond in the fall. Here goes.....(drumroll...)

Wow...it worked! Now you see what I've been doing to stay out of trouble. Lol

Victor, glad to hear your MIL is healing well. Sounds like squeamish is a normal reaction! My BIL is home now, very impatient to have more stamina. It's only been 10 days, so I guess he's where he should be in terms of recovery.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's good.. love the paintings!!.. such talent in this forum!!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Awwww, Allison....i'm just a beginner. I loved the classes and the homework was daily, but fun.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Almost done got me a scholarship to Wassamata U.

Halifax, MA(Zone 6a)

Celeste, that's awful news about Adam. I will be praying for him. Poor kid has been through a lot, and so has his family.

Victor, prayers for you MIL as well. Hope the new antibiotics work.

Louise, I'm so glad to hear that Hank's brother is doing well after his surgery. Sounds like that was really nerve-wracking. Love the paintings, especially the one of the road.

Congrats to Garret, Marilyn. Sometimes having 2 jobs to choose from can be tough. My sister from Alaska had taken a really good job with AT&T, then got an offer from the BLM for a job that really interested her, but was less money. She almost took that other job, as she'd been having a lot of problems with one or more people at work trying to make her life miserable. She ended up staying at her current job, as things changed for her there, and she really started liking it. It's tough, though, as she works 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off, and during the time she's on, she has no days off. I know I couldn't do it.

Speaking of Autism, I have a friend who has a son who is Autistic, and you can tell for sure. Then she has another son with Asperger's (spelling?) Syndrome, which is on the Autism spectrum, but they usually have high IQ's, just are very deficient socially.

Best wishes on your movie, Carrie. I certainly hope you'll be popping in here now and then. Are you keeping your membership with DG? Carrie, I would not have done well with that subtracting 7 from 100, then 7 from that, etc. Well, I could have gotten it all right, but slowly. I was never quick at math unless it was simple stuff. Math was never a strong suit for me. And yes, your ears will burn when people are talking about you.

Welcome back, Kotter (er....Victor)! Glad you had a good trip. 90 would be too hot for me, too.

Thomas Kinkade died at age 54?!!!! Much too young! What happened?

Karen

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Louise your paintings are wonderful! I love the first one, maybe because I instantly recognized the road to the farm. ^_^
Adam had surgery last Tues.. The two surgeries went well...a central line is in his chest ... No shunt though, they made a small hole in a membrane that should drain if it doesn't then a shunt would be needed.

If you have Facebook you can follow his progress here, it's called "Angels for Adam".
