It's been a terrible month emotionally but a wonderful month weather wise. Nice weather pulls you out of the dark places, i've needed the pulling.
The new update on Baby Adam is unsettling ~ his latest MRI shows a small tissue mass on his spine. They are not sure what it is yet and won't know more until they can test it. They will have to go back in and do brain surgery again to remove the rest of the tumor once they know what kind of cancer we are dealing with. I assume they will take a biopsy from the mass on his spine when they go back in for the tumor. Please keep the prayers coming...he's in for a long fight.
Like the definition on this mug, it's how I feel some mornings. ^_^
Coffee Break # 77
prayers will still come.. wish him all the best
Celeste Adam is in my prayers and will stay there for the long haul, as are you.
My GD Luci is sick again with strep throat for the 3rd time. I asked about getting her tonsils out and my DIL said the doc said 3 times isn't' enough....I don't get that...poor kid is miserable. My DIL went ahead and is making a ENT appointment anyway.
Ronnie, both DGD Hunter & Hayden get strep 3X a year at least and the Doc said they don't like to take them out anymore.
that is not good news hoping for the best celeste!
Will continue prayers....can't get that photo of him out of my mind......the docs wouldn't take out Garret's tonsils when he was a child, either...had to have it done as an adult, & not a pleasant operation....
Hugs, dear Celeste. Will put Adam on our prayer list.
That is a good sign, Jo.
I get to take Henry to his riding lessons today. I'm excited to see him ride. These are funded by the county center for autism. Thankful he gets to experience this. The instructor even had him standing on the horse's back.
The pic of little Adam helps to keep him in thoughts and prayers.
Figures, kids are home today for parent teacher conferences(both are high honors AGAIN) and my son is up all night throwing up....ARGH
Oh dear...at least he won't miss a day of school! Glad Henry is getting to ride....story of an autistic child in my dog magazine...he wanted a fish, but fell in love with a mutt...
Good news and bad news Jen, hope he feels better.
just spotted a ground hog in the yard... UGH
Hoping you all get a good night sleep.
NOT a ground hog. ICK They can do some damage.
yeah I know.. Randy is going set the trap tomorrow
They are cute when little, but I'm not thrilled with the large ones......my niece's MIL kept one as a pet....never bit....
KILL IT!
after last year with the one here it basically destroyed our veggie garden - rest its sole
I know the feeling Bill.. planted a big section of my garden one year... came home from work a few days later.. everything was gone.. I cried
Just went back to the last thread that I missed and read about little Adam, Celeste. I'm adding my prayers as well, and hoping for the best for that beautiful little guy. So much for you and your family to deal with.....prayers also continue for you all -and for Victor's MIL as well. Hank's brother will have surgery on Monday morning for an aortic aneurism, so I would greatly appreciate any prayers as well. He and his wife were supposed to come down last weekend, but they found this issue (thankfully before a tragedy!) and could not come. Hugs all around, everyone...we are so fortunate to have such a great support group of caring friends.
yes we are!
Prayers for us all.
Louise, I'm praying that Hank's brother will recover.....it's not a good surgery....
Praying Louise
best wishes for all who are not well
hope it goes well louise we will be praying here
Also praying, Louise
Yes - praying for Hank's brother and little Adam.
Just back from seeing my MIL. Still not out of the woods. Will have to go to the OR to have that ulcer debrided again. At least she will be out this time so it won't be agonizing. My wife thinks a stay at a rehab unit - either acute or sub-acute is in order when she finally is released. Then she will come and stay with us.
Hope all goes well with her, Victor.....rehab is a good idea....
Thanks. My wife is very concerned. So close to ankle where not much lies between the skin and the bone.
best of luck Victor
Prayers again Victor....
Oh dear, what a lot of heavy illnesses. My prayer list is getting too long for comfort. but all are there & wish everyone blessings and a foavorable outcome.
Praying for the best for everyone. Sounds like we might need a few miracles, I know one is needed in Maine. :(
Praying for miracles.
Praying for miracles.....
Yes, me too. Thanks so much for all the prayers, dear friends! He has been in surgery now for 5 hours and no word yet. It is so nerve wracking to sit and wait for the phone to ring. Adding my prayers for all in need as well. Glad to hear things sound a bit better for your MIL, Victor. How nice that she can come to be with you after rehab.
Thanks to all. Hoping and praying for everyone in need.
Had teacher conferences for the kids today. They are doing very well, but I heard the best compliment I ever received from one teacher. She is the enrichment program teacher and has had both my boys. She said, "I know they are both going to be great husbands."
That is a great compliment! Shows the boys are not just good students, but good people.....Garret decided to go back with his old company...he will start the Monday after Easter......
Nice compliment Victor! And happy to hear about Garret Marilyn.
Continued prayers.
awwwww
