Half a billion would do all you want and more isis MA. There is a huge mansion in the south west for sale 35 million. Dinning room seats 100,ball room will hold 200,bowing alley and pool.
I would trust fund just enought to the kids to make them comfortable .It would be interesting to see what they would do with it.
I remember a program in the 50's-60's The Millionaire.
Coffee Break # 77
Dang - $540 million Mega Millions and you end up with *just* $230 million. That's crazy.
I'm still going for it - if I remember to buy a ticket, that is.
Needs those prayers more than ever folks....actually need a miracle!
From his Dad:
Keep praying for him friends...for those who dont know he has a cancer in his brain called a.t.r.t and will need another brain surgery (he already had 1) along with radiation therapy, and chemotherapy but it can be cured, not 100 percent of the time but we have to have hope and faith that god will look over this innocent little boy and that god will guide the surgeons hands to make precise cuts.

I've never bought a ticket for it, but I might......I guess I'd be happy with just a few million!
Oh, Pixie, we cross posted.....I've been asking for prayers for Adam from our church members......I will continue to do so....
oh Celeste.. will pray like I never have before
Hi all. We had good news this afternoon from my SIL that Hank's brother was able to get up and sit in a chair today. We are both so grateful for your prayers. We are breathing a big sigh of relief here. We will go by to see him on our way north in about 3 weeks if they are up to it.
Many prayers continuing for little Adam, Celeste.
I'll be back to catch up soon, but just wanted to give you a brief update. Thanks again to you all!
Good to hear, Louise.
Still praying, Celeste.
Disturbing report today that now 1 in 88 American kids with autism spectrum disorder. Crazy.
We have not topped, Celeste.
Like the other good news. they can deal with cancer much better now.
Keeping Adam in my prayers.
Glad to hear things are looking up Louise.
Victor I read that too, agree, very disturbing and very sad.
I'm in there praying, too.
Wish I knew whether there really is more autism, or if it's because our society expects too much of its members, or if it's a measurement problem.
The spectrum is WAY too broad for autism, I have 2 friends their boys are autistic and my niece is one of those where they labelled her autistic when she really isn't, basically has a learning disability
Talk with my friends many times about it and the #1 problem they have is with the dye they put in our food, the more protein they feed them the calmer they are. My 1 friend's son was REALLY bad but got him great help almost went bankrupt because insurance didn't cover it, complete night and day difference
But dye has been in the food for decades. Problem is - within whatever definition, it IS growing.
Thanks guys for keeping the prayers coming. They are doing a sonagram on his kidneys because this kind of cancer will attack the kidneys also. I pray it hasn't gone this far...his survival rate is already jepordized by it being on his brain stem and his spine.
my niece with the shunt texted that she was spacing out.. going for some tests next week
Prayers for her Allison thats it's a simple fix.
Adam has AT/RT and the news just keeps getting worse.
The prognosis for AT/RT has been very poor, although there are some indications that an IRSIII-based therapy can produce long-term survival (60 to 72 months). Two-year survival is less than 20%, average survival postoperatively is 11 months, and doctors often recommend palliative care, especially with younger children because of the poor outcomes.[citation needed] Recently a protocol utilized by a multicenter trial reported in the Journal of Clinical Oncology resulted in a 70% survival rate at 2–3 years, with most relapses occurring within months, leading to hope that there is a point beyond which patients can be considered cured.
On the autism thing. There are some clear institutional biases. My own DS was severely dysgraphic, diagnosed by specialists at birth, even. The condition used to be called the Hapsberg finger because it ran in royalty. He never got that acknowledged as an aspect of his disability (it's only the contribution of my family's genes), even though his fourth grade teacher supported this. Instead they finally put him under the autism spectrum years later. Why? Well he is an engineer type, and he got angry and withdrawn without services, and because of pressure to perform the tons of homework that schools assign. Next they excused him from learning how to write in cursive. Reason they didn't call it what it was--an expressive learning disability-- in my opinion, is that the state has guidelines to make the school accountable for spending money on OT and other things they never would do, and it's closely monitored because it's treatable. I never had the energy to actually sue them, and civil rights violations are hard to win. The autism diagnosis meant they could send him to a class for which they DID have a program, and it wouldn't matter as much if he didn't get better. So that is a problem with any disability du jour.
What's really amazing is that he spent hours of high school summers practicing calligraphy, so now he's discovered he can write in cursive, although he can't print. I'm the child of an OT so that's how I knew to keep pushing him to learn cursive, against the prevailing wisdom of his teachers. and no, typing on the computer was not an adequate replacement. Musical instruments were supported in the school district, so it wasn't a total loss.
(((((Celeste)))))
Oh boy, Celeste. Praying for the best.
Rose - not sure what to make of your engineer statement! ;)
Happy Birthday to my not so little guy! Cannot believe he is 10 years old today. Where does it go??
Before you know it you will be a grandfather! Happy Birthday to your little guy!
Hopefully not too soon! Thanks.
Pixie, not a very encouraging diagnosis, but we'll keep on praying....Rosemary, happy your son got some help...I had to fight many times for my students.....Good news for you & Hank, Louise! Enjoy these birthdays, Victor.....kids do grow & change so much in such a short time....I wish I had had a few more....

Mega is now $640 Million. Saw a good line: "Lotteries are a tax on people who are bad at math." Hee hee!
Yeah, I have to say as Robin points out, it is the advocacy of individual teachers and the occasional brave administrator that really makes a difference for getting school services. We are eternally grateful to the ones that valued our DS for his unique voice and character and who spoke for him when he couldn't. They are why he's planning college next year.
Victor I do mean engineer type in a good way. This kid can see through any deflection or failure of logic, just don't ask him to talk to girls yet ;)
Celeste, just wishing you all the loving warmth there is for you and your family, and a healing miracle for baby Adam.
Celeste {{{hugs}}} and prayers.
Thanks everyone, you guys are the BEST! Jen, thank you so very much, the more prayers the better!
Louise glad Hanks brother is doing so well, it's encouraging news!!
Does flipping the pizza make it taste better?
Not giving up hope for little Adam, and keeping him and all of the family in our prayers.
Hank's brother had a rough day and will get more blood. He sadly learned also that his best friend just died. Maybe tomorrow will be a good day again.
Happy birthday to your son, Victor.
Hoping you all enjoy a nice weekend!
Yes throwing the dough makes it taste MUCH better
