Lol sandwiches of course..
Suzanne just called, heard there was an accident on same road I come home on and heard road was closed..of course I'm soaking, didn't bring the phone with me so right away she is thinking its me....her daughter came on the phone to tell me I'll be the cause of her mom having a heart attack worrying about me. ..told me to stay home tomorrow but she knows I won't listen!
Dropped into Gayle's, stained glass studio is usually closed Monday's but she said she would be there at 5:00pm waiting for me..she want there so now I worry about her..will call to see if they are ok..
Best/Worse/what did I learn today..chat with friends!
oh my - hope it wasn't Gayle in the accident (I Know that's what you're thinking) - please let us know.
Called Gayle, no answer..left voice mail saying I was checking up on her!
hmmmmmmmm is it odd for her not to be there when she said she would be? Not to say she's scatter-brained or anything - something may have come up and if she didn't have your # with her she wouldn't be able to call.
Can you tell me how we become such worry worts ??
Did want to stay up for night shift but no can do...calling it a night..
Keep out of mischief everyone
"out of mischief"? MOI??? lol
Hey all. I have some pics in the new contest. Come join in. HUGS BEV

new contest?? What new contest..........?
Hello To All !
Chuckling much ! So glad to see everyone "back" and having a good time. Ya'll were so frisky this afternoon! Love it !
Jean - Our "nice day" turned bad ! We got HAIL at the house ! Did you ?
Dianne - Love Calla lilies but can't grow them here to my knowledge. I've seen many colors of them at the nursery but wonder if they are naturally that color... Yes - got a lot of Oct. swap plants planted and April Swap plants put aside. I've heard of Hurley but I didn't know it was a game... just a brand.
Debbie - I totally agree... Chiropractor and massage..... and repeat
LK - love those lupines... remember I bought ONE last year? Loved it... well got ONE volunteer from that this year... I'll buy more next year I think they are so pretty...but Belle steps on them.... grr.....
Betty - wonderful ...the boys come see you on Easter ? Do you do traditions like coloring eggs or egg hunt? LOVE the family pic... the ladies in particular so pretty....
Susan - I think Betty did what I catch myself doing... confusing you and Thunder... it's the "T" ... I see the "T" and that's all but hope you got your internet fixed that can be aggravating.
Thunder Love the pic of you and Judy... bet you had a ball....
I'll pop back in a bit(HUGS)
Mary
DG is having a photo contest, it ends tomorrow. Look at the top of any page. Words in blue. They are looking for invasive speciesI believe. But we can't view any pics till Wed.
Mary - I must say, I have No Idea what you're talking about re "T" and Betty...........?!?!?!
Our internet "righted" itself - guess their node was down or something. anyway - it came back before I went to bed.
Bob would be lost without me doing research re: his Skyrim game he plays (not an online game - he installed it and has been playing for 1 1/2 months.......). I laughed and asked him if he would get through this game by Sept - he asked "which year" LOL He's absolutely obsessed with it!!
LOL Susan.... Thunder posted...then you posted...and you posted computer issues... then Betty posted back thinking Thunder had computer issues...
I've nearly done the same so so many times... because i read your name as "T>>>) and don't read the rest...
Glad you are getting the internet settled up.... Computer issues drive me crazy...
Have a good night!
Mary
Blech - I'm soooooo behind what I read, I didn't see that LOL
Yeah, our provider must have been "down" for about 2 hours, but then as suddenly it came back up again! I played around resetting the modem, unplugging, restarting........ and nothing worked, so I left it alone and it suddenly came back lol
Evening all! Nice and quiet in the house right now, my time to relax a bit. Once it gets a bit warmer I will sit outside - right now on the lake side of the house it is still very cold at night.
Mary while it doesn't look pretty I put tomato cages over my lupines to stop the dogs from trampling them down. Once the plant gets to a certain size I can safely remove the cages. I love lupines and have several different coloured ones.
My poor hyacinths just don't know what to do - they needed sweaters today even with the sun out. The darn squirrels are having a blast in my Bulb garden. I give up, think I will just plant colourful annuals in there. Last year to fill the gaps the squirrels and chippies made I planted a very tall but sturdy marigold. It was a fabulous orange. No matter what your mood when you looked at them you had to smile.
Debbie, I have already started and can hardly put it down Lisa Gardners latest "Catch Me". I also ordered several books by Kristen Hannah my new favourite read. Lots of new reading for both of us. I ordered Santa Warren a special treat for Easter. Since he is not eating and dark chocolate no longers interests him I ordered several doodle books from Amazon, should be here tomorrow. Lots of interesting subjects such Tapestry, Japan Art, Malaysion Traditional Designs, Dragons and Sorcers(sp) are just a few of the titles.I will let him open the parcel when UPS delivers it tomorrow so when I go into Kingston this week I can blow some of the patterns up a size or two at Staples.I also ordered from the BBC store a Dictionary with LED lights that is as thin as a credit card, clips on your page. You just enter the word you don't know and the meaning will pop up. Neat eh? Sure hope it is neat as both W and I think it is. Also ordered from the Pillars of the Earth DVD. We both loved the book and missed it when it played out the series on TV.
Good to see you Bev. Good luck in the contest.
Need to stoke the fire. Sweet dreams everyone.
Dianne
Dianne - what wonderful gifties you have coming for Santa Warren! That Dictionary sounds kewl!
Why would you be needing to blow the patterns up a size or two? Is this so he can work them?
Hyacinths are delicate aren't they? And they're perennials too, right?
Darn those squirrels! I suppose they're munching on the fresh greenery... and we have rabbits in our church's garden, so I suppose they're doing the same thing! munch, munch..........
Yep Hyacinths are perennials - they don't take long to spread either.Susan I enlarge them so it is easier for W to fill them in. His coordination is not what it used to be. I am sure the cancer and the meds he takes have a lot to due with that.
The squirrels dig up the whole bulb Susan and chew on it like they were apples. Grrrrr!
Don't believe this ..... I just scared off a coyote in the east yard. Now that scares me. I have found coyote or fox scat where I put the dogs and wondered if the the coyotes were moving in. Tomorrow night I will be ready. Gun is loaded and in the closet by the front door. Sure glad the cats don't go outside. Think I will go prowl around out there and see if I can find their trail.
Dianne
ooooooh we have coyotes too - they come wandering through the park, and when they're really hungry they've been known to attack small dogs on or off the leash. The owners aren't supposed to be leaving them off the leash, but some do.
Take this with a grin :-)
Six Truths in Life
1. You cannot stick your tongue out and look up at the ceiling at the same time, a physical impossibility due to the tendons within your neck .
2. All idiots, after reading number 1 will try it.
3. And discover number 1 is a lie.
4. You are smiling now because you are an idiot.
5. You soon will forward this to another idiot.
6. There is still a stupid smile on your face.
I sincerely apologize about this but I'm an idiot and I needed company.
LOL
