Morning, big smiles here seeing those gorgeous photos Bev!

Liz. Meant to say yesterday, no lurking, come gab along with the others..thanks for your kindness..

April fools day..my sisters 60th birthday today..I've. Got the family to meet in Barrie at 4pm today so will have to leave USA about noon.

Curtains are drawn, not sure what the weather is like.. Was in bed about 7:30 last night, day did me in, by midnight I was wide awake..bits of sleep here and there..by the time I got into bed water was pouring off my forehead from the pain.. Should not have fought not taking pain killers but with driving didn't feel I should.

Was nice meeting yup with Debbie and Paul..paul in the company of 3 women was very patient.

Ann said I sure have met some wonderful friends here at Dg. As she has meqt several and hears me gab about you all as much as i gab about my own she feels she also knows you all..now she can put face to the name.lshe is as excited about the gathering in Junemas i

As for the craft show, nothing unusual, only saw two things I might have purchased..a big primitive birdhouse on a base, not sure it would have fit in my car...second was a garden lady sitting on a a chair, she would have looked cute in back garden welcoming everyone but our Debbie assures me that I can make her..a trip to value village for clothing, shoes and fancy garb will fun..now to design and paint her. Lol

Wasn't up to shopping but Ann bought 5 lovely outfits..

I ended up with a cutting Matt for Sharon (24x36'). A Belle doll from beauty and the beast , her gown has roses that light up when you touch her with rose wand, across that has 3 crosses progressively smaller set
On each other for Darlene..must get something for Cathy for looking after me furries..will do that today..big purchase for me, rubber boots, need them for next weekend when I get into the pond to rid the sludge and get it going....so that was my day..

Was hoping to shop at hobby lobby today but it is closed Sundays hmmm, oh well guess by the time I'm out of bed, have breakfast and do a few shops it will be timeframe for homeward bound

Must stop at customs seeing we've overspent our 24 hr. $$ limit.
In June, thanks to 2012 budget after 24 hrs. It will be $200 and after 48 will be $800. Oh happy days

My turn for bathing..Ann thinks there are ants on the floor..must check clothing before packing up

Gab tonight

Enjoy your day!!

Betty, that is terrible. When we cross our Border to Mexico, we have to pay $2.00 to go into Mexico, and nothing to come back. You may be subject to a random search o see if your carrying anything illegal, but there are no fees for spending too much money, or for spending more than a day or two...

Verona, ON

Safe travels Betty. Fat rain falling here this morning. Better than completely ssnow falling.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Evening all, just got home, in my Jammie's and ready for bed..just had the wind knocked out of my sails..omg a dg friend, who I met at Joyce's dg reunion just lost a daughter in a brutal murder..prayers for her family please..tummy is just churning!!

Has a bit of bad weather coming home, ice pellets and winds but not freezing rain..got to Marketplace Buffet right on time, met up with family and shared in Sharon'd 60th birthdyan April Fools baby.

Got treated to Kyle driving me home from Barrie..good driver!m took photo's, will share tomorrow

Hope your day was filled with excitement, ok maybe sunshine and gardening, that is the same thing right?

Baton Rouge, LA

just popping in quickly... wiped out...Hubs and I spent all day outside....Lots of plants in the ground this weekend.

I'm back online - lost internet for 3 hours........ blech!!

Victoria Harbour, ON

Morning, although a heavy frost last night it's a sunshine day in my neighborhood!! calling for much the same all week and Easter weekend. Just got a call from Greg, e-mail from Jeff wanting to know what the plans were for Easter?? I sure was hoping they would have forgoten about it this year, kidding of course, just not up to it but will indeed be nice to see them all. Have a few things wouldn't mind help with but must remember my 'to do' list is for Mothers' Day and not Easter.

Thunder, here is hoping your computer stays working..I had same problem about a week ago, had internet service, would type and press send but it wouldn't go anywhere..maybe service provider is having problems. Now what were you and Judy doing..know you were adding ribbon to the fencing for your soldier, are you still adding or were you taking down..big sigh of relief for you...guess Judy/Steve are on their way home now..hope their holiday was everything they were hoping for and that Judy is feeling better after a stay in your Florida sunshine.

Mary, you will have to share photo's of your gardens..takes a tremendous amount of energy to do spring cleaning and setting up the gardens..

I couldn't believe the amount of growth in my garden just sice Friday, now that all is raked, now comes weeding, transplanting and edging..sure hope my little landscaper is willing to put some hours in the edging.

Debbie, opened my birthday bag and said 'that girl!!!' did some ohhh'ing and ahhh'ing especially when it came to the metal garden fairy..will take a photo tonight so show everyone how absolutely gorgeous she is...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Sounds like spring is on the way for you Betty. It was 95 here the past few days! This is what the roadways look like now, lots of blue bonnets and wild flowers blooming!

Betty, I am going back and get one of those fairies for myself. I fell in love with her and have the perfect rock for her to perch on! And remember, that Froggy is for you, not the frog swap! lol

Betty gave me a beautiful stained glass hanging, the one she posted several days ago. It is up in my dining room window waiting for the sun to shine. Had such a nice visit with her and Ann. I decided Betty needs a masseuse for her neck and shoulders...wondering if a chiropractor would even help her.

LindaKay, I just love those wild flowers. Been seeing so many bluebell pictures and wish they would grow up here...I think it is much too cold. My friend Mark, who is a weatherman out your way, has posted pictures on his page of the beautiful shots viewers send in to the station.

Thunder, I had to switch to Google Chrome in order to get on DG or FB anymore. Internet explorer won't load either one....Foxfire works also.

Guess what? I have about 3 hours to myself this morning. Just dont' know what to do! DH said he didn't need me to go to PT with him....so I home alone and going to run amuck and get in trouble! haha

Debbie

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie, new body would do fine, that or strongest of pain killer..already had 2 this morning!!!

No dust under Paul's feet Debbie, omg already hung the stained glass piece..he's being awfully nice to you, what is he up to lol I also enjoyed my time with you..so wish the other gals lived closer so I could also meet up and treat them to a stained glass piece (all but Dianne, she'd have to have something all together different!!! Hope the sun shines so you can see the glass globs sparkle.

LindaKay, I'd be travelling the roadside from morning till night taking in such a pretty view..95 wow, I'll be doing the happy dance if it's in the 50's this weekend.

Thunder and Judy it was soooo good to see you together. I am positive you had a super duper visit. Thunder how is your DH feeling now? Back healed?

On Sat. an old friend of mine stopped in unexpectedly. She lives in Toronto but had driven to Smith Fall's (about an hour east of me, closer to Thea) fpr a curling match. She brought goodies - a calla lily for me and sausage rolls for DH. W ate a whole one!!!! That is the first thing he has finished except for his cereal in days and days. Carol and I were consultants together over 30 years ago. We worked together about 5 or 6 years. Fortunately W was having a good day and was able to sit up and visit with Carol for about 30 min.

Oh my LK 95 sound wonderful in some ways. Is there humidity with that heat? How is Dylan doing? Good luck on your entry in the batik contest. When will the winner be announced?

Sure would like to see a pic of that garden fairy Betty or Debbie. So glad you got together on Sat.

Betty how was your visit at Customs? Some of the custom agents can be sticky...... I know my first DH was one during the summers while in university.. He made several visitors to our country very unhappy before they even reached their destination.

Mary how did your weekend chore list go? Get many items crossed off?

Have lots to do today but most of it needs some assistance. I just can't lift some items like I used to......... this getting old is not what its cracked up to be. My sweet daddy used to say that all the time and I used to wonder why he said it. Now I know!

Great looking family Betty. Interesting to see your DN in a Hurly Tee. Wonder if he plays?

Barb and Thea missing you here. Stop in when you feel up to it.

Need to get Stormy boy in, he is conversing with a Canada Goose and I can hear them both getting louder and louder.

Make sure you all do something nice for yourself today.

Dianne

Victoria Harbour, ON

Dianne, glad Warren was up for company..especially ones that bring treats!!

Those Canada Geese sure can make a heck of a lot of to do about nothing! Guess Stormy will show them who is boss.

No trouble at customs..Ann had spent close to $300 and I, couple of hundred. He asked when we crossed over, said early Saturday morning, asked the purpose of our visit, said craft show and meeting up with friends..asked what I spent, told him 'myself, just over $100, had intended to stay an extra day but wasn't feeling well..he never asked Ann how much, just said 'have a nice day'..must say in all my travellings to USA I've never had any problems..maybe because I look so innocent..lol

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning...sounds like the weekend was busy and fairly pleasant for everyone.

Dianne, that particular Hurley Tee is pure Aussie....surf, skate, art and music inspired. My DD lives in Brisbane and they sent my GS here a number of Hurley shirts for Christmas...

The sun is beaming down here today and you can almost hear the weeds growing....grin

Have a lovely day all

Verona, ON

LOL Betty. I think I just look guilty even when I have no reason to be. Haven't been over the border in years, last time I went I didn't even need a passport to do so - that's quite awhile ago isn't it?

Peepers were out last night - not all of them only the ones with fur lined shoe laces.

Steve my helper just called, can't come today so made a date for Thursday. So looks like I can go play in the dirt. Although Amazon just delivered a box full of books. What to do, what to do???

Dianne

Verona, ON

Ah thanks for the explanation. I just thought since Australia was an English colony that the game of hurly was popular and played there as well as the UK.

Victoria Harbour, ON

Andrew spent a month in Australia last year, must have brought the t' back with him.

Jean, omg, thought it was just me, last year I was sitting on front deck and I could actually hear the leave opening on the big oak/maple trees

Hard decision Dianne, guess my choice would be to play in the gardens and when you come in, in need of relaxation you can go through the magazines.

Lyndonville, NY

I agree with Betty Dianne, work in the garden till the sun goes behind a cloud, then come in and rest and read. What books did you get?

I finished my Nicholas Sparks book, was disappointed...very predictable, but still had some good "thinking" situations in it.

Victoria Harbour, ON

OMG Debbie, did you ever hear a SALES pitch given..we have a gentleman we've been dealing with, ex pro football player, door was semi closed and I'm listening to Suzanne go on and on and on again telling him how I like travelling, how much fun I am when travelling (Memphis/Nashville experiences) lol..my goodness almost like she's auctioning me off ..just too funny!!!

Lyndonville, NY

Hmmm, maybe he could get rid of your headache?

Ducking for cover....

Victoria Harbour, ON

I'm so laughing..yep, maybe that's what I need!!!

Handsome fellow, think a bit young for me..besides, I'd be giving him a headache I'm sure..

Verona, ON

ooooh Betty doesn't matter if he is younger, you could become a cougar!!! Is he single and free????? That's the most important question. Maybe he would like to come and help you in the garden?

Victoria Harbour, ON

omg I'm half laying here trying to find some relief feet up, back pushing into chair..pain city..Suzanne wants me to go home but hurt here and get paid or hurt at home and not get paid..easy decision.

Dianne, not so sure I'd know what to do with him lol

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Betty - as long as he can garden, and loves crafts and travelling - what else DO you need to do with him LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

I had other tasks in mind!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Diane, so glad to hear that you had company, and Warren ate some food!

The humidity today is 39%, at 83 right now. Supposed to be 93 today!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

LOL Betty - as long as you can think it, you can DO it LOL

Lyndonville, NY

She wants to teach him line dancing....

Victoria Harbour, ON

Debbie, now that kind of line dancing would surely work up a sweat!!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

in-line dancing (VBG!!!) (ie: Very Big Grin LOL )

LOL Susan, Betty and Debbie! Heck he is a retired NFL player he has to have some kind of expertise - fancy, dancy moves being one of them.

Lyndonville, NY

Yep, and I am thinking of a happy dance in the end-zone O:)

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

OH DEBBIE!! tsk tsk............. although I guess that's all in the "eye of the mind / beholder" LOL you're sooo bad
ok - let's leave Betty to her "fan"tasies. I don't even know if she's a fan of the NFL........

Verona, ON

Me too Debbie!

Today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day according to The Gothamist Daily. Hmmmm maybe DH would like that tonight, nothing else is appealing to him at the moment. Sometimes I think I give him too many options. It takes him forever, absolutely forever to make a decision now - never used to be like that. I am positive it is the cancer and the meds but it is agonizing watching and listening to him try and make a decision. He gets very angry with himself which of course makes the problem worse.

Verona, ON

Susan did you mean eye on the behind .... just kidding.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

LOL Dianne!! You's baaaaaaa-ad Girlfriend!! lol

hmmmmmmm PB&J, eh? Well, maybe I'll have that for dinner tonight LOL
btw - I have a breadmaker recipe for a PB&J bread - good for picnics it says LOL

Victoria Harbour, ON

You guys got me all excited and not for football...lol

Actually he was talking about a big win after he was traded by the team that traded him, I asked if that had anything to do with him being traded I.e. not the best of p,ayers..he couldn't stop laughing..you can see his body is also hurting from his football day injuries!

You know, when grandpa and I wanted a treat together he'd boil up a cut of tea, make a bunch of jelly and soak them in tea and eat..to this day when I need comfort food that is what I eat...

Might me the think to have tonight..just going to bathe, take a few Tylenol 3 and get comfy in bed (drats and more drats..will be all alone)!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ooooooooooooooooh Betty - did you get his ph#? You needn't be all alone.......... lol
soak WHAT in tea???
