Dr. just broke her water, and said Dylan should be here sometime this afternoon..... Looks like it gonna be a long day!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

So it looks like Dylan's birthday is March 19th!! I'd so wanted to share my March 11th birthday with him......... oh well lol
Are all the votes in?

Anxiously waiting to see a pic of that little angel.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Ladies!!

Congrats LK, he is a beautiful baby!!!

I'm here at my mom's been here since early Sunday morn. We visited my brother, but our visit got terminated due to something happening on the prison grounds. So they are in lock down for how long we don't know. As soon as my brother can call he will let mom know what happened. Today was her scope thingie........everything is a OK!!!!! No cancer, no ulcer, just an inflammation in her stomach, doc said it was really red so she is doing a biopsy and we go back April 12 for follow up and get results. HUGE relief off my shoulders ^_^

So I am gathering up flower pots, heat mat, seeds, plant markers, etc. Can really get things to going now.

It has been raining off and on since the 8th, the Sierras got tons of snow and will be getting tons more because our WINTER is just getting started here and tomorrow is the first day of Spring. Boy Mother Nature sure got some wires crossed somewhere, lol. Anyhoo it is bitterly cold out side, and I have a nice rip roaring fire going so we are toasty warm, mom is snoozing big time (lol she's snoring). Later we are going to Strings for dinner. Yum Yum, I have had a craving for some good Italian food for a long time.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Welcome, welcome little (BIG?) Dylan!
If no one's guessed closer than 10lb 1oz, I gather Jaye's won the fabric? KEWL! Who'd a-thunk he would be such a big boy with the health probs Heather started out with!
So happy for the entire family, welcoming the new baby!!

aaawww man my guess was 10 lbs 3 oz :p Jaye i think you won ! no soup for you ! LOL
hooray and congrats to the new arrival LK , give mama a big kiss and hug. She did a great job with that 10 lb bab'e

sue

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

(((((Hugs)))))) Sue - we miss you too!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I have a few pictures for you! He has a big bruise on his forehead, from delivery, he has a big head, and Dr. said it is normal sometimes for them to be bruised. Probably from her pelvis that did not want to spread. Everyone is doing fine, he is a very quiet baby so far.

Thumbnail by taters55 Thumbnail by taters55

so i guess his nickname will be bruiser ? LOL
aawww so sweet.
wow .
my oldest DD was vacumed out and when the Dr. told me this i looked up and said " Like a Hoover ? " i was so serious when i said it he had to leave the room he was laughing so hard ROFLLL
she had a cone shape head.

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Congratulations LK - Dylan Marley is beautiful...Besdt wishes to the whole family---

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

awwwww what a precious wee gift from God! Well, that large head will likely house a large brain!

As I type this, my DH is at an interview - he sent them his resume and, as it's an agency, he's therefore applying for more than one position but they have a particular one in mind (which is the one he applied for - don't ask me what it's for, I don't know.......)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm so tearing up right now!! God bless my eyes this morning with the MOST anticipated pictures of Dylan Marley. Guess we've followed his journey from conception till now.
He's a miracle baby, and every inch of him is perfect!!!! Praise God, praise God.

Sent prayers for Bob's interview, Susan. May he gets a promising one.

Sue, Hoover???? You must be delirious!! LOL!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Well, my computer friend (Brent) dropped off our "re-purposed/unlocked" ipod........ and I have all these icons and right now everything's empty. I went to the IPod info page to find out how to basically USE the darn thing - "click the Home button to exit" and it's so "iffy" as to when it works - guess I have to figure out the Type/Amount of pressure to double click...... silly thing!
I don't want to attach it to a new service, but will connect via my computer. Oh, and Brent gave me a connector for it, so I have that too. It cost him $25 for his friend to unlock it, but he's not charging us. What a sweetheart, eh?

Yesterday we got birthday cards from my mom, with 2x$50 cheques, so that's going towards rent. If we don't pay rent, we're evicted and have to move our trailer off the park, by the end of March........ good thing we can pay the rent now!

Bob's not back from his interview, so maybe they're "testing" him too?!?! I sure hope he gets a job! He told them yesterday when they called to set up an interview that it doesn't matter what they pay him - he needs to work.

Susan hope the interview goes well
i have 7 house's to clean this week. i will be very tired LOL
Tim leaves on monday for a job. he got hired on from a trucking company. so wish him luck. we are going to need it.
oh Dylan is soooo cute. just want ot give him smooches and kisses oh and the baby smelllllll.... ok not the stinky smell of poopy diapers but you know the sweet smell of babys have. love it.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Nothing from Bob's interview - it was an agency, so 'they will let him know'

good morning
off to shower , shave and shine
good day to youi all
sue

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,
I am home again, my mom is doing ok. They did the scope thingie on her stomach and all they could find was that she has an inflammation in her stomach and they said it was real red so they did a biopsy.

Before I came home yesterday I picked a bouquet of Daffodils, while picking them I came across this one (don't see doubles very often). I can't remember the name right now but I do have them on a disc somewhere ^_^. Today I am going to be busy getting more seeds started. I have tons that I have collected over the years and have received from some DGers, just hope they are still good.

Cindy, are you a seed hoarder? I am! I should NEVER gather seeds as I'm bad at germinating!
Those double yellows are beautiful!
Good to know nothing too complicated for your mum. Makes taking care of her, easier, I hope.

Sue, will Tim be a long distance truck driver or just around the area?
I wish him good luck on his new career.
You're cleaning those 7 houses by yourself? You're gonna be one tired sistah, and having to do motherly duties too.
You haven't said anything about your DD, so hopefully, she's behaving and has stopped driving you nuts!

Susan, you're blessed to have unexpected angels.
When we're in tough situations, we want instant solutions. Susan, I am glad that you have so much faith in Him and the days will be made more bearable. Many weak minded folks would have gone to pieces.

Power Prayer night. Give thanks for all the blessings we have, even the teeny ones. One big THANK YOU JESUS for Dylan of course.
Remembering Ray and Darwin please.

Sis LK, if you're reading this... kiss Dylan's cheeks for us please!

one of my houses canceled. :( so i only did one today.
i have 3 tomorrow and one on saturday. I already did 2 yesterday.
i have just decided to not get to much involved in my oldest DD life any more. Its all lies and deception. I did take her to her Dr. apt and that was a joke. She lied the whole time to him. i just sat and said nothing. What would be the point. Dr will find out soon enough.
got my power prayer shoes on for tonight.
Tim will be doing cross country trucking. more money that way. we are on a tight budget !
i sure hope plant sales are good this year ?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - Brent is an angel, for sure! Now, if I can only figure out the gosh-durned thing (the I-Pod..........) I'll be "golden" LOL

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good day sistahs. Think we're in summer already! If not for the nights, there'll be no trace of Spring!!
Mid 80s here. Rain's expected right through the weekend, and I'm sure before it's over, the ditches will overflow.

That would be the best action for your own mental health, Sue. She may think she's fooling her doctor, but doctors have seen it all, and they don't go through years of training to be simpletons!
Best of luck on the new career Tim. Hope they give you lots of runs.
And may your nursery sales be good too, Sue.

Susan, how are you today Sistah. You're a smart woman, I'm sure you'd soon be downloading songs to the IPod.
I can't have one as my connection is too slow to download anything!!! Better to just buy the CDs.
Hope Bob gets some good calls soon.

LK's lips will be oversized when she gets home from all that kissing!!!! We know that she'd find ways to make frequent trips to hold Dylan!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Jaye - ups and downs....... went to Bible Study today and let Sarah, in charge of the Children's Story roster, know that I'm to be taken off it. Margaret asked if it were because I had made the mistake on Transfiguration Sunday, because that's old news. Actually, it was brought up on Monday by 2 people at our Bible Discussion video, and that's when I decided it just wasn't going to be forgotten so I bowed out. Tears ensued today, and I had people come to hug me and make me feel better. I still couldn't stay long though - I'm hurting.....

On the Plus side, I finally got to the PO and Betty - sent your Maple Leaf Heart block! Jaye - I sent all the blocks I made for the RWB (I'm a RW gal!) for you to distribute to the others. THANK YOU for doing this - all 3 pkgs (Betty, Sherri - Barry's Quilt - and to you Jaye only cost $18! If I'd have to send to each person individually it would have cost about $40 or more!!!! Bless you, Jaye!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Hi Ladies,

I guess we are having Spring weather, it was near 70 yesterday, cooler and cloudy today, possible showers later tonight, sunny tomorrow, rain over the weekend wouldn't ya just know it!!!! Doug wants to go on a long ride so badddddddddddddddddddddd, lol ^_^

I am going to be tearing up the front yard. This will be my new flower and veggie area. The dogs have claimed the back yard but at least I got the hothouse up out there, lol. So I told Doug I want to put a mail box out by the street so I can do a mailbox garden around it, then work back towards the house planting. I am getting a bunch of strawberry plants from a friends nursery, picking up some old tires and going to do a raise bed for those. But I just wanted to tell you about the great deal I got on this mail box. It was on sale from $74.49 marked down to $18.74, cool!! So I checked it out, has a small dent on top but that's ok, it is a security kind has a lock as you can see in picture but I don't think it will work to good for big packages so I may remove the locking part. so I get up to register to pay, went to self check out, was waiting in line and there was one not opened, so gal opened it walked back and hand scanned my items, told me go ahead and pay. Went to get debit card...................Doug had it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Well at first I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to have to leave and go get my card. Luckily I had my check book, so was able to use check as a debit. One reason why I didn't want to leave and loose that mailbox was because when the gal scanned it, it came up priced at..................$.01, lol yup got it for one penny. man I could not get out of there fast enough, lol.

Holy Cow, Cindy!! I showed the pic to my DH Bob and he just grinned!!! What a fabulous price! I gather it was more than the mailbox you purchased? (Sure wouldn't pay $0.1cent on a cheque LOL)
Wow o Wow!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

yes I had other stuff rung up.The check was blank all she did was use it for bank info, then I was able to use it as debit. Then she gave check back

Cindy that's awesome!!!! YEAH!!! That's how they do it now, most places you don't even write the check, just give it to the cashier and she runs the bank info through and gives your check back. It won't be long before checks are obsolete for store purchases.

Dylan is soooooo cute, bruise and all!!!

Sue good luck to Tim with the job! What's he going to be doing?

Susan hope Bob gets a job through that agency!!

Hi everyone else!!!!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I'd never heard of using a cheque as a Debit Card.......... kewl idea!!

Bob hasn't heard about any jobs. He's saying he will "take what the job pays" when asked.

good morning
Tim will be doing trucking. Lets hope he passes his test today ! send all the energy prayers you can for him.
well today is my laid back day. just kinda doing it slow today.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning sistahs! TGIF for our Crissy here.

Of course Sue, we're sending good vibes Tim's way. That's good that you're getting some resting hours today.

Goodness gracious Cindy! A penny for that mail box? You should have left for a casino right away, that lucky streak may win you big money!!

I don't carry checks with me. Pay only one bill with checks, and the rest, paid via online. Store or gas purchases, all by debit card.
Checks aren't cheap nowadays.

Supposed to rain again today. Not too thrill with the return of the mosquitoes.
Got most of my potted plants outside, I hope there won't be unexpected snow like last year right before Easter!!

Think I'll start sewing today, by the time your package get here Susan.. they'll be ready. I'm over the cold!! Hallelujah!
I'm glad to be able to help you save some $. Wish you had included Sherri's blocks to me too, since I have to mail her a block.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Checks are going to be obsolete before too long. The only thing I write checks for is to pay someone for something I bought from their kids school sale. I know a lady who has never used an atm machine, or debit/credit cards anywhere. I can't imagine.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I never use checks - my mom sent us a couple for Bob's & my birthdays, but otherwise I never touch the things lol
So much "paper" is going by-the-wayside and even books are on e-readers!
Remember the last time you sent a letter????

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

OMG Susan, I don't remember. Remember having a Pen Pal? LOL

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

oh yesssssssssss - are you THAT old? LOL LOL
