I hope you find a pup. The Merle you were looking at is gorgeous.

I have pepper's that I have started on a window sill. Of course what has to happen. While I was at work one of the cats just had to try to climb into the window and scatter plants.

Oh, no! My problem used to be mice in the basement.....then I plugged in the electronic devices.....all my plants are fine! I started a weeklong job today, walking 2 dogs while their owner is in Calif. Shepherd is 11, the lab is 13...neither can walk very far!

My old dog Jake had a mini stroke this morning, will have to make that heart-wrenching decision soon.
Please pray for both of us. :(

Ronnie, I was sad to hear that the pup you wanted was sold. You're right, though, it was not meant to be. I'm sure you'll find the right one for you when the time is right.

Thanks guys, your the best! Jake has been going down hill for awhile now. He was hit by a car when he was 6 months old...it was a miracle he survived. However, the injuries he sustained then has caused him grief as he aged. We noticed he has some muscle atrophy symptoms last summer, his eye sight started failing also and his balance has been "iffy" for about 18 months. He has severe arthritis due to those injuries also.....he's just in pain and the meds they have him on aren't working any more. He also has a damaged valve in his heart and keeping him here is only being selfish on my part. It won't be long, so im savoring every minute with him.

On a more positive note....Romeo turns 10 years old today!

Found 2 holes in the backyard today....if they are snake holes, I have an anaconda.....

Just in case Celeste can't say it.. She had to put Jake down today :(

Oh Celeste I know your heart is breaking and mine is breaking again right along with you. Sending all the hugs I can and keeping you close in my heart. I am sure Atticus was waiting to help Jake along. They can be friends now♥♥♥

Thanks Allison for breaking the news, and thank you everyone for the hugs and your thoughts. As much as we prepared ourselfs for this over the last year, it is still very difficult. This dog survived an accicent that should of killed him and Brian hand feed him until his jaw healed well enough to eat on his own again. He carried him in and out of the house until he could walk on all 4's again. Then when Brian had his 7 surgeries and was bedridden for 2 - 3 weeks at a time.....Jake stayed by his side 21 -22 hours every day. He left his side long enough to eat, drink, stretch his muscles and do his duties. He was one of the most loyal dogs we have ever owned. My big burly husband bawled like a baby when it came time to say good-bye, as did I.
Joshua left the house when we headed to the vets for that dreaded last visit.....we haven't seen or heard from him since. He's 24 and has to deal with this his way he said....Jake has been here half of Josh's life. If you can spare a minute, say a little prayer for him, im a little concerned he hasn't contacted me yet.
