Morning sistahs!
What if I were to tell my sistahs that the a/c is running today? An 80s day in February. As long as I have been here, I've never experience heat this high before spring has sprung!

Pictures are what Synda hah posted on Facebook. Thought they might inspire some sistahs not to throw away old teapots and spoons.
Hmmm would be good ideas for trash to treasure swaps eh?

Oooo I'm first to arrive... hey hey hey

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

I am sliding in right behind you BJ.

Barnesville (Charle, GA(Zone 8b)

Me 3. I'm here. Love the teapot....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Alrighty sistahs, you know the #1 rule here. Play safe!
No more sliding Marion!! Your derriere won't forgive you if you should slip!!

With my legs able to move more, I'm gathering ideas on what I can do to those odd home/kitchen stuffs, that's gathering dust, but can't get rid of.

Plus posting 'crafty' pictures here will remind me of that Facebook Swap!! :P

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

If you say so! It is more fun sliding and if I am doing that then my legs are already out in front of me and I am on my derriere. LOL

I am getting so tired of the grey drizzly weather we are having. It does not motivate me to really get finished what I need to be doing. No a/c so I guess I should complain and besides the plants are loving it.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The heat is confusing the plants and reducing the lives of my daffies, Marion!
I know what you mean by the lack of desire to stick to original plans. I get sidetracked often. Supposed to be cutting and sewing, it's still sorting fabrics and cds and dvds.. you got the picture!! Lolol.

Just talked to sistah Judy, and she's expecting snow!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the new room Jaye!

Love those teapots...

Nice and warm here today too!

Sure hope she is getting over her cold?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's a good one, LK! Kel got some old jeans that I can do that to. Hmmmm... on second thoughts.. never mind.. he's a 42"!!! Lol!

Sistah Judy's finally over her cruds. I asked her whether she had her flu shot. She said that she had stopped taking it since she quit work.. like a couple of years ago?
Told her it's time to resume, for her kids are bringing in too many friends to her home. She might caught the bug from one of them.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

The lowest we'll be getting till this weekend will be 73, LK. I don't believe that. The forecasted temp for today is supposed to be 76. Add another 6 to it.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Confusing the plants? What about me--I don't know whether to bundle up or strip down. LOL I had hope so hard to be able to get a few things planted before I go back to see my Mom (March7th) but not in this weather. I get things ready and it is raining again.

Bought some Helleborus, the new Crimson Snow, got my spot ready but ...well you guessed it. I know, in a few weeks/months I will be begging for rain. Can't ever be satisfied can I?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh Marion, when we don't complain with whatever unlikely situations thrown our way, that's when we're 6 ft. under!
Not planting anything new but will throw a few poppy seeds.
I had amassed so much froggy bric bracs, it's time for them to be outside. Think I'll get some cans of clear coat.

Since it will be warm right through weekend, do you think Kel will fix the roof? To those that answer "no", you're smart!
Asked him whether he'll do it.. his reply.. "Well, it's not raining now!"

Barb, I might as well climb up there and put a tarp!!!! Instead of tires, I'll ask him to sit on it!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

I know, right? It's 90 right now... suppose to be in the 80s here too all through the weekend. But in the 40s at night.
I got out this morn to try to get my garden in order and ready to plant, but my hands gave out... so, I've called a guy that does odd jobs... he's on the way. My compost bin hasn't been cleaned out in 2 years... really need to get him to do that too. Don just isn't interested in gardening, so he said to hire someone... so (hehehe) I took him literally.
This all just doesn't seem right for February

Lol, Marion... we're all confused by this weather... not just the plants, huh?

I love the jeans thing... it would be good to know how they keep them stiff, and what they fill the legs with. But, I love the tea pot too, and the spoons with the jars hanging from them. So many good ideas out there.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh BJ, I no longer have that luxury of hiring someone to do Kel's garden work! You're lucky.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Here are more great ideas.
Bowl covered with buttons.
Kind iffy about using those shoes.. but then.. one way to get rid of your old high heels!

Thumbnail by heavenscape Thumbnail by heavenscape

i collect things from salvation army and goodwill. I paint old pots and pans. they become planters for plants.
them jeans are cool. i would use pvc pipe and stuff the butt's with plastic to hold the plants ? just an idea.
kids are still sick. savannah 103 and austin is 101 both got broncittis and bad coughing. both got antibiotics.
busy week.
helping friend clean houses. did 3 today and 3 tuesday.
got 255 plants to pot up for the nursery
tim is a great guy , he did half of them today, while i was at work.
just been busy
glad everyone is doing good.
thoughts and prayers to Ray.
raining here and cool.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

I should have saved a lot of my old tea pots, see I finally get rid of something then find a great use for them later on. Guess that is why I'm a pack rat. I have found some odd things at the thrift store that I do plan on using for planters. Haven't gotten interested in planting any thing yet. The entire country is having such crazy weather and both plants and humans are confused.

oh my Gosh !!! savannah and her medicine taking is driving me to the brink of crazy !!! this child won't swollow a pill.
so i crushed it up ... put it in yogurt , half way she vomited it up.... great half the pill is back up.
so what do you do ?
she won't take the liquid , nor the pill. so i hope there is a shot she can get tomorrow. i mean this is crazy ??? she cries like she is about to drop to her death ! uuuhhhhggg. She is so anxiety driven grrrrr. and just upsets herself more then need be.
anyone heard from Cookie ? she didn't call me back ?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I'm a pack rat too Pegi. Luckily, Kel's workshop has space for my future treasures!! Was outside to spend some time with Hambone, and he was thrilled to play with the sun down his back!
Pretty soon, the night will see 50s temp :(

Sue, that's great of Tim to help you with the potting.
Did you try slipping the crushed med in honey?
For your sake, there'll be a shot for Savannah.
Nope, never heard from Cookie. She might be busy with her dad.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I may have a Grandson tonight! Andy just called and said she is having contractions every 3-4 minutes. They are on the way to the hospital, and as soon as I know she is in real labor, and dilated, I am on the way! I will keep you posted.

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Waiting patiently, LK!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Fidgeting here, waiting on more news... grab a cup sistahs.
Anxious to welcome Dylan Marley to this world and a world of online aunties and grandmas!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Still no baby! They kept her for a few hours, and told her it was a false alarm. She was not dilating, so they sent her home!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Awwwww.... well as long as Heather and baby are doing okay.
I can go back to sleep now!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

BABIES !!! Oh, how exciting !!!
Anxiously awaiting LK's new arrival... I know you're sitting on pins and needles.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Good Morning Ladies,

Tonight I am going to cook my daughter a steak dinner, her birthday is tomorrow, my baby is 37 omg I'm OLD!!!!! Then tomorrow early am mom and I will go visit my brother.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Wow, came in to happy news ^_^ and more babies!!

February 29th?? That's gonna be one special baby, LK!
We're counting the days, aren't we sistahs?

BJ, 37 is not too old. My late mum had the youngest when she's 38. In fact there is a 10 year wait between # 5 and #6. She was much more patient with #s 6, 5 and 8. So was dad.
I know you're already thinking what to do for your niece.

37 hits again! Must be a lucky number for the day! Cindy, you're not old. Just more mature. Again, I'll say this, you ladies with kids are so blessed. I know you all are good mamas.

Sue, did Savannah get her shot? Or she started co-operating?

Yay sistah Judy!!! So glad you got help from Alissa.. and Steve can do his pc work.
I'll be waiting on Jacob to compete in Top Chef years from now!! Maybe he'd further his culinary skills at a community college or one of those prestigous Cordon Bleu schools!
Do continue to pop in. Your armwraps have been sorely missed.

Thanks to Synda, I've been going full circle these days. Weed the entire Asiatic Lily bed, cleaned Hambone's play area, cooked and pressed some fabric.
In a few minutes, I should be starting to cut for my swap blocks.
Still haven't taken a nap!!!

>>>>>So good to be able to move more, without the cane!!

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

Well, she'll be 38 in June, so she'll technically be 38 when it's born. Hmmm... ya know that means she'll be attending his/her HS graduation the month before she retires... sheesh. But oh well, we're all happy for her.

Woo Hoo... Judy has a COOK in the house !!! Now, that is exciting !!!
I'm so wishing him luck in the competition... please keep us posted.

Hang in there LK... you'll be lovin up on that little bundle of joy about this time next week.

Jaye... don't over do it... you'll be so sore tonight.

Cindy... I'm glad you're going to visit your brother... I know you've been wanting to do that for some time.

Thanks Juday for the arm wraps i can feel them from here. So glad you got a loaner on a laptop hooray. glad to see you posting and we missed you. Congrats on the chef ! that is a great feeling. he must be so excited !

Wow Jaye your a getting around so well ! what a great feeling . I m so happy for you. many many huggers to you.
well windy as the dickens here.

Kemp, TX(Zone 8a)

It's been awful quiet in here... I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Don made coffee this morning... maybe that'll wake you up !!!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Been up just moving slowly! What a contrast in weather.......82 high and currently it is 51. At least it isn't raining for the moment.

Lucky you BJ. I miss having Ross to make coffee in the mornings every now and then. Guess I shouldn't complain as during the week Kim makes the coffee as she gets up before I do. Just guess I am spoiled! LOL
